I was taught to fade up, but I could never knock out that bald line, no matter what. But man, this fading down technique got me right, and cut the time I spent on fades down big time! Much appreciated! Super clean. Best tutorial out there!

I've been a cosmetologist for almost 2 years. But this was my first year really getting a fair chance working on hair. Let me tell you it's been hard emotionally and mentally. I did realize how much I genuinely enjoy cutting mens hair. Fades have been hard for me. My cosmetology school neglected to teach us how to do faded haircuts. I for on am very grateful for this tutorial.
I appreciate this! I've been trying to refresh myself on cutting. I'm a cosmetologist. One of my instructors taught me to cut but it's been so long. I have a 5yr old son so I'm glad I can use him as my live model. I my biggest issue is getting that line out and not fading smooth. This is the easiest video I've watched. Thank you! My loc clients want me to start tapering and lining them. This actually gave me the confidence to keep all of the money in my chair.

Bro I been cutting my hair since the pandemic. Always a low taper with length on top and now I switched to a buzz cut low fade. So refreshing going back between fading up and fading down. Different reference points for barbers, too - always something to learn from from yall that cut on the daily. I have some Gold FX trimmers and Cordless Magic Clips. Payed them off just cutting myself in a matter of weeks.
I'm so used to the old school way of only setting in just one guide line and the results are excellent. These newer methods of fading looks more time consuming and like extra work. I'm still open to learn new ways of cutting hair. This was a great tutorial and great cut 😊

For anyone watching, the best thing I recommend taking from this is something that is rarely shown or if shown very much overlooked….he has a system. With a good, consistent system you can work with anything and have great results. You change the tools out but your consistency is always on 1000 because the system never changes. Took me back to self training myself back in school on all the homies in the hood. Good tutorial. Just be mindful folks that not all textures are the same and you can get yourself into plug city if you don't pay attention to the patterns in which the hair grows out like he mentioned.
