      Hey eric what do you think of about the HD street 500 or 750 as a second bike for those days when u just want to cruise? Maybe flip my cycle have one you could test drive?

      @@hitmanout86 I learned on a HD street 500 at Smoky Mountain Harley when I took the MSF course. Yeah, they're good cruising bikes, but, if you're taller than 5'9 (I'm 5'11) the position of the shifter and pegs aren't very ergonomic. But great gas mileage and nimble enough for basic street and highway riding.

      Chris Rodriguez I’ll check, but I think that would be great. I rode a few cruisers and nothing wrong with that when you don’t want to be hunched over all day.

    I've got a 2013 model. I believe it makes 105 to 112 HP. It's also got A and B mode. A is full sport mode with full throttle response. B is best for cruising open roads at the speed limit and wet weather. B does give better fuel economy too.
    I love the K5, I'd like a white and blue 750 K5. Although the upgraded showa forks and brembo brakes, are definitely a good upgrade over the older models. And like you mentioned, the gear indicator is very useful.

    I really want a mid-2000’s 600. Had a 2020 Katana and while it’s a fantastic liter-class naked for the price, it’s just too much power and torque for public roads.
    The older 600’s are much smoother and easier to get every ounce of performance from, the high-rpm screams are beautiful, and they’re relatively cheap to buy and insure.
    For a weekend blaster, I think an older 600 sportbike is the way to go.

    The 17’s don’t make 125 at the wheel, they make closer to around 110-112 stock where k5’s hit right around the 100 mark. The extra power you’re feeling is 10ish horsepower at the top and 20 pounds of less weight.

Where dynos run on the newer bike around 110-111.... from my understanding, the k4-k5 cams were slightly different and made for more midrange power, so it would make sense that a newer bike making 10 hp more with a bit more rpm on it would have that power up top.

    I had 600 L5 for 3 years. It's a great beginner bike IF YOU KNOW HOW TO TAKE IT SLOW at first. It has plenty of power to get you in serious trouble... It super agile, easy in corners and very playful both on the road and track. I swapped out OEM front master cylinder with Accossato, added Goodridge stainless steel lines and SBS race pads, removed the cat and added link-pipe with Yoshi R11. Like all Suzuki brakes, they just fade over time... It's worth the update! I still miss this bike. Now I ride the GSXS750 L8, which is super fun on twisties with more upward sitting position. I installed translogics QS and had ECU reflash (it became a monster after Dyno) also same update for the brakes as I did on the GSXR.

      It’s Me Eric B Was originally getting a k7 600 but people have talked me into a 750, don't really know which 750's are the popular ones so probably just stick to k7 or at least around k6-k9

    • @itsmeericb
      @itsmeericb  4 года назад

      Glories Gotcha. Well whichever you get I’m sure you will like it! Good choice on the 750. It’s really a great balance between having the weight of a 600 and the power of a liter bike. 👍

    • @Glories999
      @Glories999 4 года назад +1

      It’s Me Eric B I don't think I'd get bored of a 600 as it is still waaaaay more than you can use on public roads. As I'm from uk as well our roads are like half the size of yours & some state motorways are empty whereas ours are packed all the time. But I wouldn't want to regret getting one so I'm going 750 as many have suggested. Also heard they're better for two up not that I plan on doing that straight away but it's always an option when I need it. Then there is also bragging rights of the size of your bike 😏

    So... I am truly baffled at the comments: I have not ridden the 2017 version (600, but I owned a 1000) but owned a 2005. Just looking at the two they should be NOTHING like one another to ride. 2017: bigger brake disks + better callipers, lower centre of gravity (better high speed handling), I believe claimed power is in 130s vs old bike by now being 110 at best even with the right pipe/filter/dyno + velocity stacks, etc (if you felt like it was the same, you must have had the ‘17 in the “rain” mode”). The rubber on your 2005 is Michelin... something... budget roar rubber with an ok profile for touring, but the 17 has something like Supercorsas on - handling should be NOTHING alike unless someone seriously fucked up the pressures. In conclusion (without even riding it): if you think these bikes are similar, there must be something wrong with the ‘17... or you don’t know what you are talking about

      Ppl can say that about every bike. I’ve had a 13r1, 2017 Zx10r, 2008 cbr1000r and a 2020 gsxr 1000r. It’s all subjective. The bike u think look the best another group of ppl think is the ugliest. Then you got ppl that just biased. Not to mention the hate gsxr get just for being gsxr. I use to be one of them that made fun of gsxr until I sat on the 20. It was between the 20 r1 and the 20 gsxr and went with gsxr. Hardest and Best decision I made

    They are 2 completely different bikes! cant even compare new bikes to a 10+ years older bikes. Suspension geometry is completely different, chassis is different, engine is upgraded/different.
    dont really understand why anyone would say that they are almost same ? Why wouldnt u find out these things instead of making nonsense video like this? I didnt have to even check info in order to know whats different. basic understanding is enough to know how they are different.
    I guess some people are just riders etc, they dont have real understanding about bikes/cars (car mechanic here)
