- This upgrade to your bike is definitely worth it! If you want to gain some more bottom end get up and go, then look into upgrading your sprockets.

I hope this helped some of you out with your chain and sprocket decision. Also let me know if this was helpful with changing your tires and chain!
K5 Gsxr 750 ?
Did they change the rear nut from a 36mm to a 32mm? I got the 2011 750, rear nut is 32mm
I’m not sure. I know my rear was 36mm.
Did you take tires to a shop to change them out? If so did you notice any damage when getting them back? I need to do this but i dont want any chips
Yes I took them to a local shop that does bike tires. There was no damage.
@@itsmeericb so i can stop worrying about it probably and get it done. Thank you for the response 🙏 I appreciate it. Nice bikes too have fun and stay safe!
I got the aluminum sprocket, hoping I can get 5,000+ miles on it lol. I probably should’ve just got steel.
what a usefull video, thanks for the knowledge g
Now you need a speed healer!
Yup
I'm looking it too this now.. I have a GSXR750
Nice bike,i like the yellow and blue suzuki is the best😊😊😊😊
11:18....is not a micrometer it is a Vernier caliper
Uh oh, the technical police are out. I used the wrong term but I think they get it.
Man lol it look like you was wheeling a little bit every gear nice
So talented, when I tried to adjust my chain I fucked it up 🤣
literally had a friend over tighten mine yesterday and it ate the sprocket and chain... don't feel bad
Oh no!! Lol Were you able to fix it?
Nice 👍 video You’re making things complicated bro ride the piss out of it it’s a gixxer bra
I get a little technical when explaining things. 😄
I just ordered the Vortex Performance chain and sprockets for my 06 ZX6R can't wait to install. Great video
Awesome! You’re gonna love it! Some of the things I showed in the video should apply to almost any sport bike.
Bro i dont think u have to measure anything on the master links there gonna fit only one position i been doing it for years now once u put it is done is not gonna go anywhere the put the tension on the shaft and thats it bro
Very old video lol Yeah that was my first time. I’ve since done it again when I had my R6 and it’s pretty easy now.
👍🏾🇬🇧💯🇬🇧💯🇬🇧🇬🇧💯🇬🇧👍🏾🇬🇧
now thats a nice bike... sendings blessings and love
Real Life In L.A. Thank you!
Dope video! This is good for people like myself!!!
Randy’s Reality Yeah man just wanted to get a maintenance visor up and something that can help other people out who is thinking about doing the same thing.
Rear Sprocket Aluminum vs. steel.. The steel is obviously much stronger and heavier, but with~3X more contact teeth on the rear, isn't an aluminum rear sprocket good enough? Of course all new together to wear together is key. What say?
Aluminum will wear faster. Steel is much better for street use unless you plan to track your bike on a regular basis.
Great video and beautiful bike. So I have a 2019 Suzuki GSXR 750. Front Sprocket 17, rear 45 sprocket 45. Would it be a smart move to go 15 front and 45 back??
Thanks! Might be a bit much in my opinion. If you don’t want a lot of bottom end kick just go with 16/45. Remember you’ll have to adjust your speedometer too to compensate.
Do you think 1- +1 would be a good move? I’m affraid -1 won’t do much .. thanks for the video! Love your bike! I ride a zx6r from 2012
If you did that I would go -1 +2 for more punch.
@@itsmeericb yeah i don’t want to lose too much from my top speed. I figured if you are already noticing a great difference with -1 tooth down on the front then maybe i could get -1 +1 for a bit more torque while not losing too much top speed
@@DonGH297 If you go with -1 one in the front you won’t lose much top end but gain a little more punch down low. Motonosity did a video on the same thing with his R6.
@@itsmeericb allright man thanks for your input! Cheers
@@DonGH297 No problem!
Why did you remove the front wheel
Changing tires
Exactly what I expected (and was hoping) to find out looking for some video about Vortex 520 kit. Thanks
Still such a lovely bike dude! Cheers
Thanks!
What app are you using to know your speed?
I honestly don’t even remember what I used back then. That was about three years ago lol. There are some good apps but you may have to pay for them.
@@itsmeericb Alright, thanks for replying. Also the video is great, just did my Vortex today (15-47) and will be testing it soon.
There's a spring in that cover I'm not really sure what it is or if it's even supposed to be hooked up to anything it's just hanging in there would you have any pictures on how it should look when I put the cover back on??
Ummm I’m not sure about that one?? I don’t even have this bike anymore. Haha! I don’t know if there should be spring in there.
Why take the front tire off?
To change out the tire
We have the same bike lol. Good lookin cause I was thinking about changing the sprocket too
Oh you’re in NC lol. That’s Sanford area huh. I used to live there in Carolina trace.
@@r.l.j3789 Yeah I don’t live there anymore. Lol
@@itsmeericb nice bro. I left too I’m in Washington state now but I still kept the gixxer. I can’t bring myself to sell her so I’ve been updating her to keep her running good as new and got her a new body kit too.
@@r.l.j3789 Ahh nice! Are you able to ride much up there?
@@itsmeericb yeah bro. There’s like 3 fb groups around the area with hundreds of riders. Sadly I work a lot but when I’m off I’m riding all day lol.
Great video! I have a question, so I have a 05 zx10 stock is 17/39 so my question is if I were to do a 16/39 or 17/40 is that basically the same change or no
If I’m not mistaken I think you have to go up 2 teeth in the rear to match 1 down in the front. Don’t quote me I could be wrong. Use sprocketcalculator.com to get the right setup for your needs.
1.72 what for the plates width? in mm over here id like to think if its out by 1mm it will still be ok?
I’m not real sure unfortunately. I filmed this video so long ago. I don’t recall any measurements.
Lovely bike and good work👌did u use a 520 chain rather that the 525?also is it o ring or x ring?thanks
I used the 520 chain and it’s o ring.
subtitle indonesia please, i subs in indonesia
nice vidz idol.. gonna buy soon same bike
Those things are great track day bikes. Love it.
Is this a O-ring chain that comes in the kit or not?
Yes the black chain came with the kit.
@@itsmeericb Maybe I should re-word that, it is a O-ring type chain correct? can't tell if it is on the on the website I'm shopping on! There's no good close up pics of the chain! lol
JMHSUM41 Yes if you are talking about the little rubber o rings on each link.
Did you end up getting a Speedo healer to fix the speedometer?
No, I ended up selling the bike about a week later! Lol
I can't decide between modding my 600 or getting a GSX-R 1000R. Great video! If I do the conversion, I'll probably do the same as you, and nothing crazy.
The GSXR 1000R is an awesome bike! I loved it! I do miss my 600 though. What type of riding do you plan on doing most?
@@itsmeericb I'm in Sanford 🤣 TBH, I wouldn't sell the 600. The 1000 would be for street. I'd learn the track on the 600.
I'm NicholasHayato on Tiktok 😬
@@badtzmaru17 Heyyyyy haha! I'm already following you on there!
You kind of look like David Goggins. Great video though👍
Angel Del Villar You are the second person that has said that. 😄
Are you from NC?
No not originally
@@itsmeericb i meant was the video in NC
I am having the same installed good choice
Hey man... how did you change the stock can on this ???
I didn’t do it. It was already done when I got the bike.
So I got a 05 gsxr 600 what does it mean on temp gage is flashing f1
Gideon Davis You have some sort of code. Mine did that once when my ignition wasn’t working.
Rosso 3's for the win!
Gold or yellow chain would be perfect.
Yeah I wanted a gold chain but could get one at the time.
Hi Eric. Which mobil oil do you suggest for the 2004 600. Semi synthetic or fully synthetic. Please help. Shell or liqui molly?
Sanjib Kunwar Hello! I always prefer fully synthetic. I have been using Mobil 1 10W-40 in all of my bikes with no issues. Another good one I hear others use is Motul.
@@itsmeericb Hi mate, cheers for the reply. Motul 300V?
Sanjib Kunwar Not sure about that one, I’ve never tried it.
@@itsmeericb Ok sure thank you. Am planning to buy 2004 gsxr 600 that was why i needed suggestions. Thank you very much. Very excited for that ride.
Love from Nepal.
Sanjib Kunwar No problem. The oil I used in my 2005 GSXR 600 was Mobil 1.
Keep the content coming! Love it going to do my best to support the Chanel
Hey I appreciate that a lot! Thanks for the support!
WHAT SIZE TIRES ARE THOSE
Should be the standard 120 in front and 180 size in the rear.
Nice video Eric !
Thanks!
Thanks for this video. I just got a 22 GSXR 600 this past June upgrading from a Ninja 400. I’ve noticed myself it lacks torque in the low rpm range and was thinking 1 down in the front and 2 up in the back. I don’t really care about top speed because after 140mph I usually let off the throttle but I would like some more bottom end torque. I’ll also have to get a speedo healer to correct my mph gauge.
Yeah you’ll definitely need to correct the speedometer after going with that combo. 👍
I did the same thing I went 1 down on my 600rr and it was a world of a difference bike runs great now my speedo is about 10 off at 70-80 and your miles go up faster so itll show more miles then the bike has but it's the best single thing u can do to make your bike have faster acceleration 🤙
G Shell Awesome! Seems to be a good setup in my opinion! I am debating doing the sane thing to my GSXR 1000? 🤔
