    I have the non hammer drill version of this, thos drill can send a 1 1/2 spade bit on speed 2 pretty easy. More impressive is how it can drive in a 8" spax lag with ease.

    Does this also drives screws like impact drive? If yes, there is no point in buying a combo kit of drill/ driver set? I was looking for a hammer drill and impact drill combo kit. This ryobi hammer drill does both job? Thanks

      No sorry a hammer drill and impact driver are different. A the hammer drill feature is a highspeed back and forth motion used to chisel into concrete or masonry. This drill has this. An Impact driver on the other hand usually has more low end torque and is a rotational impact that helps with driving / loosening screws and bolts. I would recommend getting both.

      Sure thing! This drill has been doing great. I have several Ryobi tools and they all have worked with no issues.

      @@billingsfmx You drove a screw just like an impact drive does.. That was impressive and I was curious.

      Yes it is a drill so you can drive screws all day long, but an impact driver will drive screws much easier. You should go to a store and try both side by side, or look at a youtube video showing the difference between an impact and hammer drill. If you will just have one tool id get the drill. Having both comes in handy so I would recommend getting the combo kit if you can.

    Thank you for the demo and explaining things in a way that I finally understood after watching about 20 videos on youtube. No body explains things for people who have never used a tool like this and needs instruction/help to understand what the features are used for etc. I nearly gave up. Wish someone would do a video for begginers who have not got a clue about these tools, like me. cheers

    Dude 31,000bpms is nothing compared to my old Bosch HD-18-2 Corded 2 speed Brushed Hammer Drill (Made in Germany) it produces a whopping 58,000bpms I can drill 3/16 holes using masonry drill bits the whole day to install 1/4" Tapcons or I can drill 3/8" holes for masonry anchors for whole day. My current DeWalt DCD998 Power Detect Cordless Brushless Hammer Drill (Made in USA) only have a 38,250Bpms meanwhile my buddy and fellow contractor who also a Framer owns and uses Milwaukee Gen 3 M18 Fuel Brushless Hammer Drill with only a 32,000bpms but it have 1,200in/lbs of Torque which is good enough to do the job but man I saw some Milwaukee that are smoking too in my Jobsite!!! 😂 My buddy's Milwaukee Gen3 M18 Hammer drill can't keep up with my old Bosch HD-18-2 Corded Hammer Drill. Whole Day Drilling, from masonry drill bits, to paddle bits to self feeding large diameter holes with ease like it was nothing.

      Thanks for the comment.That Bosch sounds very impressive, corded tools are very powerful. Im not a professional working on a job site day on end so the Ryobi cordless drill fits my DIY home owner needs just fine. I have several other Ryobi tools so its nice changing out batteries between tools and not dealing with a cord.

    How does it work on old concrete with dull masonry bits?🤔😉

      Im sure it would power through it with no issues! I need to get some 3 inch dull bits and try it out!

      Yeah they just got released so your local store may not have it yet. I had to order it online from Home Depot. Ive used it more over the weekend and love it.

    You didn't even bother with one of the best new features: the chuck lock.

      Sorry, First Ryobi drill ive had. Im sure the new chuck is better than the old ones. This drill has been working great for me.

    After this, which is better for you? Dewalt or Ryobi

    • @billingsfmx
      @billingsfmx  3 года назад +4

      This new Ryobi blows my Dewalt out of the water! The dewalt was super old and out dated so theres not much comparison. A new brushless Dewalt would be a nice pro level drill but the cost of drill and batteries would be at least $100 more. I already own many Ryobi tools/batteries/chargers so it makes sense for me to go Ryobi. Im no professional using these power tools every day so the build quality and power of Ryobi does everything I need at a more affordable cost.
