    The best review on a drill I've ever seen. You've shown a bunch of test that a drill is used for and the results of each test in a short amount of time. I've watched a load of review videos and they leave out test like concrete or hole saw but you've covered it all

    Drill- Packedge in typical box, came with a tool bag (added bonus), two batteries, one charger, drill, and driver. Two words "plenty of Torque" ruclips.net/user/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.

    I own the RPD18X and buyed this in Germany at BAUHAUS. I think the RPD18X is the european similar Model to the PBLHM101 with one little difference. On Paper they have difference Torque: RPD18X=95Nm, PBLHM101=85Nm
    I am very satisfied with this Tool. It makes fun to work with. Good Test and a professional Video 👍

    that 4 amp battery may have came with the kit but its not a HP battery so the old drill was under performing from that aspect alone. You can probably shave 30 seconds or more off that time and use the drill in speed 2 for the spade bit test if you were to use it with an HP battery.

      The hp tools are the only tools that use the full power of the high performance battery there is 2 extra contact sin the batteries that the regular tools don’t have the contacts for the battery fit just fine but the older tools aren’t getting any advantage with the hop battery unless his other 4 amp is just old as shit

    You’re running an HP Battery on the new one and a standard battery on the older model. The p 251 was one of their first brushless tools and majorly requires the boost from HP batteries. It would have done a 3/4 in high with an hp battery.

      @@Protoolreviews Always appreciate the content! I had to point that out because I know how much the p251 needs the hp batteries. I have the older p214 as well and when i upgrade I compared those too. The p214 actually out performed the p251 until I threw on hp batteries. I would be curious to see what % increase both tools get moving from standard to HP batteries.

    I bought the P251 about 2 years ago, when they were like $35 in a combo kit. It's held up fine. I ONLY use to drill into masonry, not as an all-around drill. It's too bulky and heavy for that.

    Here in the UK the p251 is the R18PD7 🤔 and I would not make the switch to the new model to expensive you can buy DeWalt Makita and so on for that kind of money 💰 because that's what I did and the 5ah DeWalt batteries are cheaper than Ryobi if Ryobi are going to charge that kind of money then they need to step up the quality of their tools in my opinion....

    It's totally irrelevant if the RPM is 1800 or 2100. Who cares if it drives in 10 screws one second faster than the other drill? That is absolutely not useful. What would be useful is looking inside it and seeing the materials and the construction used, the possible failure points, weak spots etc.

    I love the inclusion of the "high performance" 2Ah battery in the kit. Is it going to make my radio louder or my flashlight brighter? If not, it's not high performance in my world, since those are the only things I feed 2Ah batteries to.

    unfortunately the comparison is flawed since they use a non HP battery for the older drill but use a HP battery on the newer.. this seems a bit disingenuous to me, almost as though they are inclined to favor the newer drill to promote more sales... they should know well enough to use the same battery on both drills imo. many tests have shown the performance benefits of an HP battery, especially on brushless ryobi tools with the contacts. i like my ryobi p251 enough that i put a nice Röhm 1328311 chuck on it.

    • @Protoolreviews
      @Protoolreviews  Год назад

      It's a fair argument, however when we tested these drills we set out to test them how people were buying them. The older generation P251 was undoubtedly being kitted with the 4.0 standard, and the then-new PBLHM101 was being kitted with the newer High Performance battery. If we were running this test more scientifically we'd match batteries, but that's not quite what we were going for here. Thanks for the feedback, @ensom!
