Great video sir, I am an electrical and mechanical contractor. I was a hardcore Dewalt man, then crossed over to Milwaukee because of battery issues with Dewalt. My good friend who is also one of my master electrician, advised me about Ryobi. At first I was like hell no! But for the price, and for helpers to use, it was hard to pass up. Yes it's not as fast as my Dewalt or Milwaukee, but it gets the job done. I bought six Milwaukee tools that came up to almost $1800. I returned them and got sixteen Ryobi's for a lesser price, and if my helpers break one, I don't care because they are so cheap to replace. I am now going on a full year with them, and so far I am not disappointed with Ryobi, as I yet to have one fail me.
I totally agree with you on the job site we use Milwaukee but for at home man you can't beat ryobis price, plus it works with all your yard tools. I can't come to terms with spending excessively on Milwaukee tools but it really depends on the application for industrial applications the reliability of Milwaukee is the best but if your framing a house building something just use ryobi and use the excess cash you save on materials. Working in an old plant when everything is seized up Milwaukee is best. Working at home when you're buying new material to build ryobi is the best.
Considering that both tools are made by the same company (and Milwaukee is marketed as the premium), it would make sense that the Milwaukee would beat Ryobi just to keep one brand from stealing sales from the other.
@Mike Fu I have a BMW in my family. Not impressed and with the things I hear about Mini's... my feeling is that they are both trash for the money you spend.
Great video. If they cost the same and performed similarly, I'd probably take the Milwaukee just for the sake of snob appeal. But, my personal experience has continued to show that the newer Ryobi stuff is extremely hard to beat for overall value.
Haha, great vid man. I love how you keep in your mess ups and just keep going. Proves you dont try doing any fake tests or anything. Great stuff, ready for you to get 30k subs already. I would be more than happy to contribute to your channel, this is what I like to see over everyone else.
I have that ryobi drill. I thought the chuck was metal at first too then was dissapointed it wasn't then after use its actually a really well made chuck and I think I like it better than a metal one because it doesn't get scratched up nearly as easily and stays looking better for longer. Also its extremely well made chuck and it has some sort of locking system that like rachets or something. It holds a bit in better without loosening than any other drill i've used
I do have that Ryobi HP brushless drill driver. I used it for driving through metal and wood, never let me down. After I bought the drill driver itself, I thought I had better buy the high peformance (High energy) battery for that tool. The size does make it easy to put it in a small tool bag
Man Caver Tools obviously haven’t had it in hand yet but it seems pretty under powered. I was just curious so I pulled out the brushed p215 and it can run an extremely used 1-1/4 self feed through with no issues, and the 1-1/2 only stopped on 1 hole. I was using untreated, but still, I can’t help but feel they under delivered here. I would be very curious to see the comparison to the p252! Appreciate the content, awesome video!
Just thought I’d mention 2 things. Milwaukee does make a fuel drill driver separate from the hammer drill and hammer drills and drill drivers make the exact same power. For example the m18 fuel drill driver and hammer drill both make 1200 in/lbs of torque. The only difference is the hammer drill function but the actual motor is the same. Not trying to hate just wanted to mention it. But I am new to the trades and watched many of your videos before purchasing my first drill and impacter. Keep it up!
Considering the fact that all I ever hear is how Milwaukee makes "real tools" and Ryobi tools are "toys," there really wasn't that much difference between the two. I mean, yes, Milwaukee won but really, not by enough to be considered a real upgrade. In real-world usage, there's enough variance in materials and bit quality to not notice the difference between them.
Yup totally agree. Definitely not worth the big price difference. I Smruti my own business and have slowly moved to having all Ryobi tools in my work trucks. David, I don’t understand what you mean by tightening the chuck, then clicking back to lock. Do you mean in the opposite direction or counter clockwise? When I use the ratcheting chuck on my M12/M18 drills, I tighten clockwise, then continue to tighten clockwise until it locks in place. I don’t go backwards of counter clockwise to lock. If you go backwards you’re not applying the locking force intended.
ckcuev The Milwaukee bit fell out twice and this “feature” is never mentioned by a manufacturer. The click you hear when turning it back the other direction is the chuck UNLOCKING. I just checked on my Dewalt.

Ryobi HP is a subcompact drill, it is same weight as Milwaukee 12v and its actually 1 inch shorter. It ended with more battery at the end of the test, and has managed to do all the extreme tasks that significantly heavier, larger and more expensive Milwaukee did. Who cares if it took 1.65s instead of 1.57s or whatever? You get drastically lighter drill, half the size, with better battery cheaper, how in the world you concluded that Milwaukee won this one?
The video is entertaining but doesn't change the fact that Ryobi is not close to being a professional grade tool. I am not knocking it, just telling the truth. Ryobi is still the third in line of TTI tools. That isn't likely to change either.

this new Ryobi line is not worthy to be pro grade tools.
I got my brushless Ryobi drill for $44 new with 3 year warranty. It’s not the same price category
Using used bits on the ryobi doesnt do it justice 🤣
The video is entertaining but doesn't change the fact that Ryobi is not close to being a professional grade tool. I am not knocking it, just telling the truth. Ryobi is still the third in line of TTI tools. That isn't likely to change either.
Hart is #4
@@DamionJR4923 I don't disagree
if threres a sale m18 or m12 is almost the same or even cheaper than ryobi.
@@Airhopster1 ever heard the phrase you get what you paid for? You buy trash, you get trash.
@@ToolswithSoAlz ryobi aint trash i own some ryobi products and i think they push other tool companies to inovate and thats a good thing.
