- 07 2.3 duratec. 140 on the clock. I got it as a no start and it didn't take long to figure out it was a timing jump. these escapes can suck it. You're a wizard Harry

Encountered one and setting the lash on the lifters is a pain in the butt.Basically taking the valves in and out taking off material on the end of the valve stem.

You edit game is super strong.
Third time is the charm. Chain slipped again. Do not use aftermarket cheapo chain or tensioners when rebuilding head and timing chain.This will be my third time ,when the chain jumped I was lucky not to bend any valves. The new tentioner must not be doing it . I never replaced the guides either.One more time with just taking off the cover and replace guides tensioner and chain or its the scrap heap.

Same freakin engine second head. The first one sheared two valves and nicked the pistons. This one has your exact leak .

I have a 2007 Ford escape with the same motor. I need to replace the timing cover. What would be the easiest way to get to it?
You have to take that motor mount off and prop the motor from underneath.Look up DuraTech motor 16 valve and wacth the assembly in artist view .It shows all bolts in the process of assembly.
Trying to watch your video with my young children near. Out of the heart the mouth speaks. Dude, I used to cuss so bad I could make a sailer blush but I grew up from being a schoolboy. You have to remember that your broadcasting to households everywhere. You have to tone it down as you would in public, a church, or a classroom.
