Omg I've been looking for this, someone told me about the green film but didn't know the name of it. Anyway I had to replace my timing chains and tensioners, oil pump and chain all new gears. Got it back together and can't get rid of the cam position sensor code. Now I will check those wheels, if I'm not mistaken they are pressed into the camshafts I don't think you can get just the magnetic wheel.
Hi there, I have the same issue (a reoccurring cam position sensor code) after swapping out my lifters and rocker arms. I have been dumbfounded as to why because I had no idea about the magnetic wheels. Did you ever fix the problem? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for this great video! Using the reference waveforms from the first seconds of the video, I found out which camshaft was bad, by comparing to the waveforms on my car. Now, do you think it is possible to re-magnetize a cam timing wheel ? Using a strong magnet and some steel metal plates to contain the North or South pole fields within each segment along the circumference?
Have to replace cam.. But if you have no option you can tap it one way or the other to get it back in spec. Only if it had come loose. Its the tone ring. If its wiped out like that. Will need cam

Thanks for taking your time to explained 😊
Nice video the bad news is you have to replace whole cam as wheel is pressed on . Dealership price for one camshaft with tone wheel $385 bucks 😕
Why do you see these camshafts online without the wheels for sale?
@@KH-wf6lb I have no idea I don’t know how you could press the tone wheels on without special press
Will this film do any harm to these? Just ordered the film but don’t want to cause any damage if they are good.
Mine has grease ? Ridges on them ....
Is that normal ?
Should I clean them up ?
are they replaceable?
