    • @samueljacobson470
      @samueljacobson470 5 лет назад +20

      Other person commented about Daddy. That song is an absolute raw catharsis and nothing else. It has some crazy bass playing by Fieldy and it's incredibly unsettling, especially if you delve into what went through his (JD's) mind when doing the vocals. If you need explanation hit me up. But yeah they are very hated by people and I honestly expected to see more hate comments here. Either way I would probably have been in a much darker place in my life had I not listened to them so I'm thankful to them. That and they introduced me to seven strings as well as experimentation with guitar noises.

    Next vid maybe you can do an all slap vid. Slap bass and slap guitar. I’m sure that’s what you have planned. Bar chords will be a lot of fun to slap.

    Love these videos, great job man. Not sure if you've done an After the Burial riff evolution but if you have how about Bury Your Dead. Be well my dude

    Really can't understand why everyone's jumping down your throat about the whole using pick on bass, I think you're being pretty truthful to the how he actually sounds tone wise (clicky yet monstrous sound) and regardless I appreciate the effort you put in to do this. I think Fieldy would really like dingwalls of he gave them a chance

    Imagine if Korn had access to the guitars we have access to now. They recorded most of the old stuff using an Ibanez Universe 25.5 scale guitar and not until recently, at least head, started using longer scale guitars, dont know about Munkey.

      They both currently use 25.5 scale evertuned guitars

    Good job on the video. If you will allow me one weak complaint, I know this is “riff” evolution, but their chord progressions are probably the most interesting thing about their music. I would have liked hearing more if those parts.

    Thumb jokes aside. I didn't notice at first, but now hearing only the instrumentals I realise that Korn and modern Metal guitarists use mostly the same techniques

    First four albums have very cool bass and drums groove . Guitars are always very chaotic but simple . They will be rocking in their 60s . Everyone grabs his first 7-string to play these songs .

    For me, the sound of Korn is not limited to the guitar riff ... but also the drums ... A mix of ethnic, disco and groove ... And this bass ... No technique. Just rhythmic .... With the "clicclicclac" ...
    The strength of korn's sound is this collective work. That's why we feel the lack of head on some albums and David Silveria .... (I throw oil on the fire: D)

    Pretty cool! But I noticed you left out the album Path of totality. Though there was a lot of dubstep in that one..
