Great stuff. I fish for Spec's in the Shallows of Corpus Christi TX. area and its amazing to see you catch these guys way up there!! Its so impressive for the species !!
Thank you for your kind message. It is really fun every year during the winter, these trout winter over in the creeks. With the weather here, those creeks hold the most consistent temperatures. As I have very deep holes. Also, they have mud flats that warm up when the sun comes out. But the environment and scenery is so awesome in these places. It’s really weird to be able to catch speckled sea, trout, largemouth bass, and pick her up on the same exact place.
Just gave you a follow and can't wait to see more content. Really like how you try different approaches to catching fish when you're already putting them in the boat. I need to be better about that!
Thank you so much for your comment! And I’m really glad that you enjoyed it. I’ve been on a break for the last three months without putting up longform, Contant. Had a lot going on in my personal life with my fiancé, all really good stuff. However, I have a lot of very good contact coming out very soon! I should be putting something out a couple times a month if not every week. Thank you again for subscribing and I look forward to hearing from you again.
That’s good to know my brother thank you for letting me in on that secret. I am very concerned about the fishery here in eastern North Carolina. It’s become more and more clear that the legal government above us a North Carolina is like the mafia. From another RUclipsr called the truth about Flounder 2023. It’s very upsetting and concerning all true. Anyway, thanks again for enjoying my video. I’ll be doing more like this. Let’s hope we can all fight a good fight for the sake of ourselves and our children.
I kept 2 18-inch trout to feed me and my sisters family of 5 with three boys on a Sunday fish fry. Needed one more cause the teenager, but if it was just me, I'm done with one. I rarely get a keept a limit since years even tho i catch over 10 every time out. Rest would have been caught/photo and released. Tight lines, brother
@@atomadventures1828 well, there’s some awesome fishing between Jacksonville where you are in New Bern, and then down towards Wilmington. I’m not super familiar with that area but I do know there’s a couple peers along the area at topsail Beach that are really good. I know a couple of guys that Fish out of the Jacksonville area close to you. They do really well on trout and redfish. I would do my best to get a kayak if I were you if not a small boat . You’ll find some decent spots from the bank but when you get a kayak or a boat a whole New World opens up to you for fishing opportunities in this area, as most of the best, Fishing is only accessible from some sort of watercraft . But for sure, you can find some good spots for sure. But I would definitely look at the peers in your area first . This is a time of year. They should be really hot for Spanish mackerel, blues, and all kinds of crazy stuff between now and all through the summer and fall. Keep in touch and I’ll see if I can ask my friends about some spots in your area.
Thank you so much for your compliments! I think the scars are from netters. It’s a big problem here in Northern Carolina! Sometimes the net boats even come into protected areas illegally at night. They can really take out a big population of fish quickly.
At some point this month or next month here at the Neuse River, New Bern Fishing will be a really good for trout. For most of the winter, any of the creeks from New Bern down to Morehead will be pretty good. Slocum Creek is always good option!!!
Hi Kenney sorry for the late response as a few messages here I totally missed. Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it a lot! And this video I was using soft plastic mirror, lures, in the molting color. I’ll make a video of product review on these cause you’re so good. I’m also working on building a website so I can add links to the equipment in Lures that I use.
Hi Ray, sorry to get back to you so late somehow I totally missed your message. Yes you know sometimes you have to work the Lures really slow for these kind of trout, but there are times when they’re very active in an aggressive approach works best. So in this situation I was reeling in between
My personal largest trout was a 30 inches caught in the Neuse near Northwest Creek, not far from where you fish. Taken on a ZMan paddle clear with blue speckles, which is one of my go to baits. Caught it trolling in about 6 foot of water.
That’s just awesome!!!! There really are some giant trout in this area. My personal best is still 25. I’ve gotten two Trout at 25 inches. The last one was just a week ago. I’ve been trying to focus my Baits and my fishing style specifically to try to catch a bigger trout, a gator. Thank you so much for sharing what you got yours with!!! And congrats on a 30” that is a true giant!!!
DJI money 2 it’s an awesome drone. Sadly, I only got a one-year warranty and I should’ve gotten a three year. Thing worked awesome until one day. This fall will fishing for old drum. I lost signal, and it crashed into the bottom of the Neuse river. So no more drone footage until I can afford another one.
Do you eat fish ⁉️ Because I saw u releasing them, me personally I eat my catch especially nice trout like you catching well no offense but everyone catches fish but only the real fisherman catch clean and cook them up take care
😂🤣 yes, I’m sure you’ve heard the joke the Indian name for vegetarian means a bad hunter and a bad fisherman. I am both a hunter and a fisherman and I do clean and cook my catches. I’m big on catch and lease as I only keep what I can eat. Please check out the rest my channel. I have lots of catch, clean, and cook videos. I lived in Asia for many many years, and have some really unique recipes on my channel. I have many many more coming. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I really appreciate your humor as well.
AWESOME video!! Beautiful trout in a gorgeous place! Well done!!
Awesome trout net place looks similar to a place called blades

What a great video! Amazing views, excellent narration, and of course, nice trouts. Wondering what might’ve gotten that trout that had those scars.

When I make the video at the link here, so you can find it easily.
Nice fish. Would love some information on where to put a boat and where to go. Just started boat fishing for drum a trout
Where about do you live?
Great video. What was the jerk baits you were fishing with.
♥️
Looks like you are working that jig pretty fast. Are you reeling every time you are working the rod? Thanks
