look shit, very mushy
We were out Saturday, couldn't find any trout at the lower bridge and broad creek. Definitely found the blues!
@@Gilly1059 yeah I just got a report from a friend yesterday said their crush in the big blues lots of lots of blues here. Thing with those trousers, they move so much but if you find them, you should find them in big numbers !
And thank you so much for the report. I really appreciate it a lot!!!
im coming in this november to look for some, do you think they will be around the bridges ?
@@willbonniville6001 in November for sure they will definitely be around the bridges. You just might have to hop around a bit to find them and test out various louvers and colors. They’re gonna be a stack of fish, but they can still be a bit at times. Let me know how you make out !
@@davefish84 thanks! would you recommend trying the creeks / main points over bridges this early? instead
Awesome video bro bro!!
Headed to New Bern this coming weekend to visit my Marine at cherry point! Bringing the boat!! I love fishing that area!!
@@brobrofishingshow8495 we’re right at that time for things should be picking up really good. a friend of mine message me Monday and told me that he got a 27 inch speckled trout by the high-rise bridge in New Bern. so far my report telling me the numbers are not in yet, but that could change literally any day. One things for sure there are definitely there and there’s some big ones. This weekend or this week, let me know how you do !
This shit makes great bait and fertiliser
Great video man. You are crazy kayak fishing at night in that river! Was that at Hancock creek? I have been told a big gator lives close to the launch there.
@@bruce7992 yeah I am a bit crazy and yes, there is a very good size gator near that boat ramp. I’ve ran into him several times on the way back. It’s about 9 1/2 half to 10 foot long.. I’ve seen bigger though. There’s about a 12 foot long one up near New Bern.
I have to tell you it is a really fun place to kayak. And two years ago, I did really really good on both puppy drama and the great big bull drum. The last two years have been a lot more hit or miss for the big guys.
@@davefish84 Well great video Dave. I just spent a week there, was on that creek on Friday. I live in WV, can't wait to get back again. I have an OT predator kayak, but also a 16' tracker grizzly.
@@bruce7992 those are great kayaks. Let me know when you’re back down in the area and we’ll see if we can get together and do some fishing. The speckled sea trout fishing is about to get real hot here . That’ll be the thing from now until about April. I have some really good videos on that and a bunch more about to be put out.
@@davefish84 That would be great! I hope to get down for the trout in a few weeks, I'll respond to these comments if I am able to make it.
I just subscribed to your channel yesterday. And I am unsubscribing today. How unfortunate. If you could only have kept it to fishing, I was all about it. Again, too bad.
I’m sure that grouper tasted great

Great tune man nice fish getting it
Great video. I wish you would have got up close to them, filmed them to expose them and asked in a kind way, why are you being so rude? I kayak fish a couple days a week and you are right, the majority of boaters and fisherman are very respectful of keep their distance and their wake down.
Yeah, I kinda wish I had drove my kayak 5 feet away from his boat and said I see you like fishing real close to others, me too.😂😂😂
That looks like a cool spot!
It sure is!!!!
Looking back at the comments blow my mind is blown. I’m teaching my five-year-old son about not being stung by saltwater catfish that does have poison. It hurts really bad. It’s one thing for me to get stung and it’s a whole Nother thing when you’re dealing with your children or other kids . Do you ask your kids to go put their hand in a bee nest? If it hurts, you let them know. It hurts, and it can hurt really bad. And I’m not saying these catfish will kill you because obviously they won’t. But it’s kind of like eating a Filipino hot pepper. You can do it and you might get your man card, but you’re gonna be in pain all day long . But would you let your five-year-old kid eat that pepper? if so, child protective services might be involved.
What a dummy
That’s cool man.

Hey man, sorry to see you’re selling the kayak. You have any suggestions for places to launch? I’m wanting to head down to the coast in a couple weeks for a day of fishing and was planning on bringing my kayak. I’ve launched in Morehead City near the old low rise bridge but that’s it.
@@chrisgray8018 sure thing, my friend what are you wanting to target?
Also, I did sell my kayak to a 70-year-old woman crazy right? I hope I’m that ambitious and energetic in my 70s!😂 The main bridge between radio Island and Morehead city is a place. I have target sheathed, black drum, and red drum. if you want to fish the offshore racks like I did, you need tires to get off the beach. Of course, you always have to be aware of the weather in the wind, but if the conditions are good, you can sit off from Ocean pier . You have the reck R315 where you can reach from there within a mile and a half to 2 miles. You can bottom fish for just about anything there.
Also, if you pass over the Atlantic Beach Bridge, there’s a parking spot on the right just before chasing tails bait shop. That’s also a good spot to put your kayak if you’re after sheephead, red drum shark basically all kinds of stuff you can catch off from that bridge. Just be careful. There’s a lot of traffic there, especially on the weekends! But that’s true for both bridges.
@@chrisgray8018 that bridge you launched from if you fish that again, make sure you make your way all the way out to the main channel. Try both sides and then fish hard along the mainland side.
@@davefish84thanks for the advice. I don’t have a specific target in mind. If I could find some drum that would be great, but I’m down for catching anything. I’ve always been hesitant to take the kayak over near the Beaufort bridge. Every time I’m there on a boat the current is ripping. I like fishing the sand bar under the Atlantic beach bridge at low tide. I just hang out on the bar and cast into the channel. I’ve had good luck with sheepshead under the bridge too.
👍🙂
Nice throw😁
Bread?
Grasshoppers, there’s a ton of them there in the fish absolutely love them. It’s a win-win because the kids love to cut the grasshoppers and the fish love to eat them.😂
We were actually glad you got this instead of us because we would not have known about the poison. Thanks for all the fishing tips!

VENOM NOT POISON, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!
VENOM NOT POISON ITS A DIFFERENCE
Yeah them gaff tops suck
Venom*
Being scared of a catfish is wild💀
The venom in the saltwater catfish is similar to that of a stingray. If you ever get stung by one of these, you’ll never forget it. The pain is excruciating and can last over 24 hours. It’s like a bee sting times 10.
@davefish84 it's not that bad.. I've been stung multiple times in a day and by the same fish sometimes and it's not even that bad.. it's like a needle prick with a minute or 2 of stinging
@@GoofyPs4Streams you and I must’ve been stung by a different kind of saltwater cat. Or my venom tolerance isn’t that great. But a year after I got stung, my friend got stung in the foot real deep between his toes and he was hurting for 24 hours also.😂
I’d say your “venom tolerance” is abnormally low. As well as pain tolerance. But hey I’m not the one who’s scared of a fish with whiskers. I’d be more scared of a jellyfish or an actual stingray than that normal ass fish. Just saying 🤷♂️😂😭
And your comparison of two species of ocean life is very interesting and not scientifically correct or accurate. If you were to make the comment both stings hurt that would be rather vague but in a sense true. But to compare something that is almost never life threatening against that of which could quite literally kill you easily. Is simply not only small minded but not correct. Your wrong about the whole fish pretty much other than that it MAY hurt you. Let’s start by saying if you get stung by a stingray it most definitely is going to be very painful. Being that the venom of stingray contains hyaluronidase and phosphodiesterase which can lead to necrosis. There is also going to be a significant amount of tissue damage with the potential of deep tissue lacerations and even systemic symptoms like nausea/vomiting and muscle cramps. With the salt catfish not so intense. A lil bit of localized redness and swelling. Stinging and very very rarely any systemic symptoms that are common with stingrays. You also are very unlikely to have any fragments of “fin” in you in contrast to with the rays “barb”. Very different fish.
All cats have that
Sails is much worse but yeah they all do
