I’ve had the exact same thing happen on the Neuse, it’s a wild sight!! Once it was stripers, once it was slot reds, and the most recent trips it was bulls way up in the skinny stuff. Totally different world up there, ya gotta love it!!
Closest thing I’ve ever seen to that was the new river on Lejeune. The flats were just crawling with mullet and shrimp and it had the reds and flounder going wild. I watched one flounder do a full breach on the shoreline and actually touch dry rocks before flopping back in. Limited out in minutes that day, wild.
I've seen that off the Neuse in Slocum Creek. We threw a couple of gulp shrimp through the mess and nothing. Switched to a nice shiny spoon and BAM. Definitely crazy to watch and fun to fish.
Always gotta be flexible on the water, eh? Enjoyed that. Reds busting is always good fun. Cool you are learning the waters up there. Takes some time in for sure.
Yeah man, this is my first year really hitting south of Bay River area. It’s all new to me and I’m learning as I go. It’s a big financial commitment so I try to endure. Haha.
@@ericwilliamsfishing Me too. I thought they were out of business. Glad to see someone using their gear. You might want to list the tackle you're fishing with so they get a bit of advertising. It's worth it.

Man I’ve never seen anything of brackish descent do that so I can’t imagine seeing the big bulls doing it. That’s so cool!
Had that happen non stop for about 30 mins last year in a spot on the new river
That’s really cool. I never even knew slot fish did that. I’ve seen singles bust shrimp down here in Wilmington but never pack hunting.
Great video man. I'm heading to New Bern this weekend to try to find a slam and maybe a bonus big red.
Good luck brotha. I know those fish move alot so you never know until you go.

That’s so crazy. Haha. We are only blessed with a few of those memories in a lifetime but they are sure to stick and unforgettable.

That’s really cool. That looks like a good spot to fish too. Never fished it.

That was cool! Nicely done.
Thanks buddy. I appreciate you.
Awesome work!! Never give up!! That’s the chillest lab pup I’ve ever seen!!😂👊🏼
Haha. He just doesn’t care about anything. Thanks brotha!
@@ericwilliamsfishing 🤣
Sometimes you just gotta wait it out. Perseverance pays off
You are right, Brent. I wouldn't have expected to see this either...
Heading your way this weekend. Hopefully the forecast changes lol
@@brenttaylor2675 good luck buddy. Haha.
Man that was crazy, I love to see fish going off like that 🤪🤪
That was the first time I have seen it like that. I wish I could have filmed it all because it was happening all around me.
How rare it is to see this actually happen….unreal man. Sick video brotha
Thanks dude. I’ve never seen anything remotely like it.
Awesome video brother!!! Love it!!!!
Thanks man!
Nice video! Surprised ur making the 2 hour drive, this time of year the jetty is solid for reds.
I would stick it out here but we just don't have the masses of mullet showing up yet. Once they start rolling in, I'll stay home.
@@ericwilliamsfishing I mean back to back trips killing the reds in the neuse good stuff!
@@livebaitfishing4030 I still haven’t got a big one yet. Haha.
Do Wade fishing that same area near a particular fairy
Good luck brotha!
What were you fushing under that popping cork?
Black and gold flake airhead
@@ericwilliamsfishing thanks man! Just moved to New Bern from Jersey and trying to figure out the fishery 👍🏻🙏🏻🤙🏻
@jeepsjeeps that’s cool man. There’s a lot of good fishing up there.
Nice red. Good job. What rod were you using?
This is a 8-17lb Star Seagis. It's my multi purpose and can handle anything 40lbs and under.
@@ericwilliamsfishing Is that Star Tackle out of Moorhead City?
@@scottclausen4406 yes it is. I’m a big fan of their stuff.

Yeah. That’s a good idea. I have 5 of their rods.
man, so many blow ups! that was epic!
I almost didn't get to see it because I gave up too early. Always a lesson to learn out there.
I’m probably not far from you if you want to get out fishing sometime
I actually live in Wilmington but thanks for the offer.
@@ericwilliamsfishing Im around the new river area
Great video! Just subbed your channel 🎣🎣🎣
Thanks so much buddy. I hope you enjoy some of my other ones too.
