    Great show, but a speckled trout is not a weakfish. They're closely related but are very much two separate species. Am I missing something?

      Yeah, that 'Journal Note' was incorrect. Should have read: Spotted Seatrout (speckled trout)
      We mainly only catch weakfish in the ocean and just inside the Cape Fear River in our area down here.

      @gd3design63 they used to be caught in insane numbers around the Wrightsville jetty. Back in the 70s it wasn't a big deal to catch a 10lb weakfish off the jetty. I know some old timers that have told me nobody would raise an eyebrow at one until it was up around 13lb
