I broke down and finally tried studio one. Coming from Pro tools this was actually pretty refreshing. I couldn't get it to work with my HDX card but hopefully, that will be fixed in an update. Maybe there is life after pro tools after all?
DISCLAIMER: I am not a pro in studio one. This was to see how quickly someone with a working knowledge of a DAW could potentially switch. (totally asking for a friend BTW)

@@RecordingStudioLoser I only suggested it because it's supposedly designed to be an easy transition for Pro Tools users. I use Cubase myself.
I was trained in Pro Tools at school, but didn't want to pay a subscription and didn't love Pro Tools on Windows. Studio One has been amazing for me, for recording and mixing I feel like it brings the best features from all major DAWs. Everything is where you think it should be lol
I have used Pro Tools, Cubase and Studio One, and I picked Studio One as my main DAW, only use Pro Tools if I'm going to another studio, but maaaaan Studio One (PreSonus) hand selected all the best features from all DAWs and more and created this monster! Sooooo intuitive, so good, and so friendly and complete
I was pretty fast getting up and running I'll give it that
Well Said!
You can technically load protools sessions in studio one via AAF. I worked with people with songs recorded in different DAWs and never had an issue. You have two options, bounce to stems or save as an AAF format.
@@eman0828 Wow!! Didn't know that, thanks!
Also if you go to your settings you can change all your hotkeys to ProTools
It’s a riot to me to watch a long time PT user geek out over all the “little” things that other daws have been doing for sooo long. A) it shows how far other DAWs have come. B) it proves to me PT is still the industry standard only because it’s been around so long, and lots of folks are too busy to switch. I’m excited for your enthusiasm, and thanks so much for sharing your journey! Great vid, as always. Much love!
15-years in ProTools and now 5 in Studio One. No regrets. The thing that really hooked me was the customizable macros/key commands, which are easy to build and save me serious time.
I moved to Studio One two years ago after 20 years with Pro Tools. I had enough of crashes, issues with mp3's, and then the insult of the exorbitant price hike subscription method. I trialled Cubase, Reaper, FL Studio, Harrison and Studio One and the latter was the only one that worked straight out of box and instinctively I felt at right home. Two years on and I have absolutely no regrets, I wish I'd done it earlier. I have Sphere which means for about £4 a week I get S1 Pro, Notation, ALL the Presonus plugins including Fat Channel which has all the classic emulations you need, a brilliant integrated mastering section, millions of sounds and a superb built-in console emulation already built in to Studio One. Superb!
Studio One is my DAW of choice. I have been using it since version 1. @5:26 There are folder tracks, just select all tracks you wanna pack into a folder and then right click. You can also GROUP tracks to tie the faders together (great for stereo pairs) or make a bus, fx channel or aux channel from selected tracks. It's so quick to do.
The DRAG and DROP is so amazing in S1.
This whole video had me smiling. I love seeing the genuine reactions to how intuative and easy they have made this software. Glad you liked it Jeremy!
Studio One kills Protools every second of every day IMHO. You're doing the right thing. 🤘
Not really 😂...almost all the songs you love are mixed on pro tools...
And i think pro tools plugins are magical...
@@ojvic7297 yeah, and half the classic novels ever written were written on typewriters. There's nothing mystical about the medium, every tool gets outdated eventually. Not to bag too hard on Protools as a platform, I went to school for engineering specifically on Protools. But everything I could do there I can personally do much faster on studio one. I agree that the stock plugins are pretty great, but not nearly worth the markup you pay. I'd rather avoid doing business with Avid at all and get the juice I need out of third party plugins.
@@ojvic7297 lol, that used to be the case but it’s not anymore!
@@i_make_sounds name one of the top kix engineers who don’t mix with pro tools🤣
@@i_make_sounds Spot on !
It was so interesting watching you get excited over things that those who don't use Pro Tools are used to. I hope you find a DAW that fits your workflow seamlessly really soon. I really love that you're willing to make videos and like this and share them with us.
I have been using Studio One since version 3. I love it! I can get around pro tools but it just flows in Studio One for me a lot easier. Nice to see you enjoying it as I do. 🤘😎🤘
You are about to enter a fantastic world with Studio One. I made the jump from Pro Tools to Studio One and never looked back. The folders (and use them as buses) is an awesome feature, stuff you brought up etc. It never ends. Soo much great stuff in this DAW
Yes Studio One!!! Plus you can use ProTools keyboard shortcuts and make your own (I think you can make your own shortcuts and macros in Reaper too).
yes, found that fairly quick. LOVE IT
Great to see this! I absolutely love StudioOne . Wish I had been sitting over your shoulder, but you got it!!
Haha I wish I had someone too. Lol. I’m sure it was painful to watch for those in the know.
@@RecordingStudioLoser not at all, you were figuring it out….mostly.
Getting a mix laid out is the hard part. Then set up a template, which I’m sure you already have in ProTools.
Once you have that mixing template you’re rocking, bro!!
Just coming back to let you know that you convinced me to try it. I was hesitant at first, but decided I’d try it for a month. I’m now in the process of changing over to S1 permanently. It seems much more intuitive as far as routing shortcuts, auto color, and ARA integration with Vocalign and Melodyne. Thanks for inspiring me to take the plunge!
I've been working on audio for 20 years now, tried every daw under the sun, Studio one is home now, not looking back. They have an awesome youtube channel with toooons of tips and ideas for workflow improvement and regular how to do stuff. Cheers!
Glad you tried Studio One! There are so many things that are: "I wonder if I can.....yup!" 😅 Fixing timing on tracks is so easy and quick. Drag and drop on so many things is really quick for workflow. Many of the features they add are suggestions from users and they have a lot of great RUclips videos about how to use it. Best of luck on your search, but I have a feeling you'll be back to Studio One 😎Seriously though, I'll be interested to see what you find works best for you 👍
I dumped Pro Tools for Studio One 3 years ago and am STILL in love with SO!!
First of all, I love your content. Second, I started off with studio one years ago. I recently had Pro Tools, and Logic because of my school. After working in those other DAWs, I went back to Studio One. I like the workflow and customer service is great as well. Best of luck on your new DAW search.
You are confirming my choice to go with Studio One... The most intuitive of any DAW and coming from the analog side it all just makes sense...
Like most in the comments, long time ProTools user here, saw your last video and shared your sentiments of frustration with AVID, I made a switch to Cubase 12 Pro last week and learning my way around it but been eyeing it for a while. There is plenty of resources online and weekly live streaming training and Q&A content… all the best wishes with your journey. Love and Respect from Johannesburg, South Africa 🇿🇦
Love Studio One! I got started with it because it was free with the StudioLive mixers I've had at work for years. Mix Engine FX is a crazy feature that I use in every mix to add subtle color. My favorite is the Brit Console model in the Retro Mix Legends pack. I also love being able to bus tracks simply by grabbing the relevant instruments, right-clicking and selecting "Add bus for selected channels". It adds a bus and routes all selected tracks with one click! Everything you need to record and mix a song is easy to find, without requiring tons of research and frustration.
I know you not knowing your way around was the point but when you mentioned folder tracks I wanted to help you out so bad! Haha. Nice video man!
Hell yeah! Studio One is what is use. Switched over from Cubase 2 years ago.
shift select your tracks, then right click on any of them and click "Add tracks to Bus channel". That dumps them into a Bus chill, rather than right clicking anywhere and clicking "add Bus chnl".
Also, the "wrench" icon on the lower left side lets you choose to "keep busses and fx chills to the right". if you deselect that, the bus you Add will appear right beside the chills you sent to the bus on the left, rather than it showing to the far right beside the Main Bus.
Cool, good info. I knew the first part but have been looking for the other one, to have the drum bus together with the drums, guitar bus with guitars etc.
@@johantt2591 By default "keep FX channels to the right" and "keep bus channels to the right" options are enabled, so you can have them closer to the master fader as you're finishing your mix. You can hit the wrench icon to the left of the mixer and change a bunch of things there. There's also input gain and polarity flip. The wrench icon next to the tracks in edit view are have a separate set, including solo/instrument input/audio input follows selection (as in solo a track and use arrows up/down to switch which track you have in solo, and plugins for that track pop up accordingly - same with instruments, same for record arm), bunch of cool goodies like that. You can also disable monitoring follows record if you have a monitoring setup done separately.
Also check out cue mixes - in your project audio I/O setup (Song > Song Setup) you can add mono/stereo input/output, named and color coded, and if you hit "Cue mix" on an output you get a ready to go send to that output from every track that defaults to your main mix levels, but can be unlocked and changed per track.
Great video! Entirely enjoyed watching someone unexperienced with the best daw in the world find it's beautiful features.
Bro I love Studio One! I switched from Logic and made a video about it on my channel. Love your video! Great camera work too by the way. SMOOTHHHHHH Lighting and a great set.
I'll have to absolutely say that Studio One is my go-to when Mixing or Mastering. The flow is quite seamless. The Plugin Nap feature is genius. I'd say when producing a track, I use Studio one 90 percent of the time as well. I use Ableton for the Time stretching algorithm as I feel it is a bit more natural on vocals than other DAWs. Very cool you did this video. :) It's awesome to see someone as knowledgeable as yourself start from scratch and show others how quickly an engineer can get to a good starting point in pretty much no time. I swear by this DAW. Good vibes your way man. ✌✌
I wish we'd see native vocal tuning and alignment tools like in cubase in S1 6.0 for example. Cause it's the only thing that's missing
LOVE LOVE LOVE Studio one!
Welcome!! We’ve been expecting you😂
😂😂
Studio One is definitely something you can master in few days. There are lots of tutorials that Presonus itself release regularly on its channel. Also it has 2 buffer sizes that runs simultaneously, the one you set was for recording. On the other tab there's the one you use for mixing and automatically goes back and forth depending on what you're doin. I wish they step up their game in the audio interface department.
REALLY?! THATS FUCCING FIRE OMG
I'm using Studio One for about 5 years now. I've tried logic, protools, reaper, reason and Studio One. I started on version 2 i think and i've fully committed for S1 now. The workflow you can get is insane, drag n drop, shortcuts. The Arranger is a beast, the way S1 handles crossfades and Automation is great. Putting each instrument section in a folder and go for choosing only selected so the other stuff gets hidden is great. I've even done some sfx stuff in S1. There is a video player (double rectangle icon upper right). So great. But it also has it's weaknesses. It hang up on my beforementioned sfx session that had 70 or so tracks. Funny fact is, when it froze, i could still get to the menu and safe the progress, open Task Manager, close and reopen it and was fine 🙏😂 Lifesaving DAW.
Well I've tied them all looking for the "right" one, there is no right one, Studio One has the most things I like. The more you dig in, the more you'll find, Oh Command click will split the track at the cursor, and there is a pack folder option in the add tracks menu :) Great video
glad to see this Studio one is amazing. I moved over from Mixcraft pro studio 8 and 9. Couldn't be happier with the results because my setup uses Presonus gear
I've used many DAWs but Studio One is my favorite among them. Just like you, when I first used it I didn't read any manuals, I just dragged and dropped everything from anywhere including finder/explorer and everything just works just as it would in a modern DAW. So intuitive, i found everything where they should be found. What takes 5 clicks in other DAWs would take 2 in Studio One. Also i love the ARA support. I'd take faster workflow any time of the day that's why I loved S1. It's not perfect though and there are things that I would like to see in the future like surround sound support, other panning modes/laws, and better macro customizability and documentation even though their macros are impressive.
You will love it man I can promise you that. It's like night and day.
Facts
Studio One is killer, man. I love it.
Great video! I’d appreciate a series from your pro tools background on all the other DAWs (Reason, Live, Bitwig are those I’d be most interested in).
Edit: I moved to Presonus from PT over a year ago. I don’t regret it!
Great to see you trying it out, if you need any help with features then just let me know.
Yeah, Studio One is very powerful. Just as an example, you can apply an effect only to a portion of the track by clipping it and dragging a plug in on it while holding alt key. In all other DAWs, you have to make an additional track. Hope by now you got everything worked out. Good luck! BTW, it's not just a mixing powerhouse, in my opinion, it's the best composing environment also.
I really enjoyed watching you enjoy Studio One. I have to comment, die-hard ProTools users that have never looked outside of their window crack me up when they discover there are competitive DAWs available that do things differently, sometimes better, and mostly cheaper 😜 I hope you continue exploring other options. ProTools shouldn't be the only name in the game like it has been.
I’ve never really used PT. My best friend got it and we tinkered with it, and I’ll admit for audio recording, post production, I was impressed. However, the overall experience was lacking. So I stuck with Cubase until a friend showed me S1 2. I was impressed and it’s the only DAW I use. I’m glad you like it and I hope that you try creating songs from scratch in it. I think you’ll be further impressed.
I love how you are genuinely amazed at some functions that literally the entire competition has except Protools haha.
Avid needs to step up their game or be left behind.
Welcome to the club! :)
Bro...come on over to the s1 side. You'll love it over here🤗🤗
Surprised the reaper cult didn't show up yet. Love studio one, daw of choice for years.
I started out on Pro Tools before they had a number after the name. So, 1. Simultaneously, I used Cubase all the way up to 9 months ago. I still have PT but I never open it. Studio One Pro is my go to now. I can’t think of anything about it I don’t like. Good luck on your journey.
I switched to S1 from PT. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. PT made me frustrated and anxious. S1 is a joy to use
Been using Studio One since V4, such a powerful DAW especially after making the jump from Logic. Made the switch to UA LUNA for studio sessions but still use Studio One for live broadcast audio mixing.
After being burned by Avid too many times I switched to Studio One 3.O several years ago and it just keeps getting better and better. HOWEVER, now that Fender has bought PreSonus, I hope they don't try and change what they are doing. Time will tell. But I LOVE IT and have not looked back.
I did not realize you can setup the keyboard shortcuts to mirror pro tools. That’s very cool!
I'm re installing Studio One bcoz of this version 5 seems lit
I love getting to see you try out other daws. I'm a Harrison Mixbus guy.
Which is just a sexier Ardour.
I bought that when it first came out and never used it. I wonder if I’m still in the system
Learned on Pro Tools, but switched to Studio One since version 3 and it's only gotten better. Well worth it for me.
I have been using studio one for 10 years and have never had a problem...
Welcome to Studio One. I switched completely to Studio One because of that Pro Tools subscription. I become to realize anything i can think of, i can do it in Studio One. NO LIMIT in Studio One, No Limit.
After about 20 Years using everything (what was installed in the Studios I was employed...ProTools, Nuendo, Logic) I got 2008 my Hands on (in germany totally unknown) "Cakewalk: Sonar", when Roland owned it and made a big fuzz about it. I was blown away how simple the workflow was. One can say, that Studio One "borrowed" a lot of this. And even Cakewalk was dumped by Gibson, who bought it and is now owened by "Bandlab", totally free (and, of course, not so fast in further developing)...I still love it more than anything I worked with. After the last update, suddenly i can use the smallest latency of 32 ms (instead of 128 before) when I dont use softsynths. And because Studio One is in many ways a Cakewalk Lokk & Feel "Clone" I can assure you: YOU DID THE BEST CHOICE on the market, when it comes to workflow and stability with Studio One! When you wanna be compatible with MAC AND PC...you will see ;-) Subscribed...out of curiosity.
Greets from Germany
@@huberttorzewski Its still alive and regularly updates. Of course not in such big steps that a "commercial" software is , but somehow the good folks from "Bandlab" are really investet it. And they even employed some old cakewalk stuff. To this point, they eliminated all the bugs, and its now so f*cking stable and efficiant...did not see this coming, when I heard that Bandlab is given it for free now.
Welcome to the tribe bro 🛸
Thank you for doing this work. Pro tools leaves much to be desired.
save the PT session as AAF version and itll import to Studio One no probs. instant time saver
there are folder tracks that you can do from the top left plus sign for adding tracks folder should be within that list
I have Ableton live, but since I touched studio one I am hooked. The developers of studio one are ex-Cubase software engineers. So best of 2 world's 💪🥰
Hey man. Howdy. Get into S1 more. There is a ton of stuff you can do. eg, once you have mixed your session you can send that right over to the Project Page where you do Mastering. And you can switch back to a mix for some tweeking and update your mastering with one click. This DAW has been underated, unfairly so. The idea of protools being industry standard can simply no longer apply. Studio One has superior uncomparable versatility..just get to grips with it..its fresh, its a monster. All the best fellow.
The best DAW is the one you feel comfortable with, and whose hotline doesn't f*ck with you ;-)
I lost my apartment and have not been able to record my studio One 5 pro since last November and you forget a lot and I had just redone my home studio and I've forgotten almost everything and waytching you and how fast you got things going I will be looking over your shoulder for a while!!!
The search was over for me when I saw that it had the key commands from Pro Tools. That plus everything else it has made it my main DAW for years now
Hey man. Been using studio one since version 1. Came from pro tools as well. If you need help let me know. Love the channel! Cheers
You're just scratching the surface. Don't wait to dig deeper into it.
This is an amazing DAW, i still need to update it 😆
I love Studio One!
I knew you would love studio one.. the only down side to studio one.. the only one I can find is it doesnt yet support atmos .. I pray it does soon.
So where can I hear and maybe buy a copy of that song you were mixing in this video? Sounds like a cool 'Jellyfish' kind of vibe, and I'd love to hear more of it. :)
You should try cubase, I originally used it and then switched to protools, considering switching back for cubases built in vocal tuning, and general editing features that would make drum edits and midi building 100x easier.
i love u so much bro, thanks very much
Looks like someone was having a good time.
Switched to Studio One back around version 2 and never looked back. Outboard gear works seamless, drag and drop features, you can take the mix window and drag it to another monitor, almost everything you can think of the DAW can do... and if not it's probably being worked on.
Sell the HDX gear, and get more mics or outboard gear. Or a faster computer. ProTools is a dinosaur.
Yes you can create folder tracks.
“Pack folder” and you can assign a bus to the packed folder track.
former hardcore PT and S1 user here! S1 is not fun and lags in so many ways... too many tiny fiddly buttons... the S1 browser is a joke compare with Media Bay.. Effect Channel Window is bad, if you have small Plugin GUis... scroll, scroll Tabs... and the S1 Onstock plugins are halb baked. Now I tried Cubase 12: and THIS is the real DAW! very stable, best Mixer on the market, Control Room, Channel Settings with EQ and all Stuff, great professional Stock Plugins!!, top multi track alignment, surround and Atmos and many more. Yes, highly recommend Cubase 12.
When you selected all the drum tracks I was really hoping you would right click and notice the option to "Create bus from selected"
Studio is VERY comparable to ProTools in so many BIG ways: the workflow inside of the DAW is very similar, and many of the shortcut keys are the same. The Smart tool in Studio One operates with the same basic commands for editing that ProToolls' does (Grab, Select, and Trim PLUS COPY and you only have to click and drag for that!) I agree with a lot of people's comments so far---Studio One takes the best tools from many different DAWs and offers them to us with very little pretentiousness.
and as an added bonus if your a shere member u get several other choices of "mix fx " on your busses and the softube tape works as a mixbus fx as well. but its not,or any of them just applied to the bus....its added to all the individual channels..im sure you got that im just puttin git out there
You've done the right thing. :)
You should definitely try out Luna… my favorite daw at this point.. however I use studio one periodically and logic for atmos…
after a long flirtation with Reaper I settled on Studio One as my new DAW and have zero regrets.
Studio one is the best
Great DAW I think.
I am using both, studio one, for composing and small mixes, pro tools for big, high track number jobs and recordings. The thing is, pro tools is really good in multitrack recording and editing, playlists ecc. Studio one has also a very good multitrack recording and editing ideology, but is too chaotic to my eyes and found my self making errors 😄. Though, I continuesly jump from one software to the other, some kind of love and hate relationship. Pro tools being the old-timer nice suit and all gangster, studio one being the new kid in the neighbourhood, has a skate, a pokemon, three cats, a golden chain, golden teeth and looks like the circus came to town, but always does the job.
I use Logic for creativity and Reaper for mixing projects because it’s so light weight. But every S1 user I know says their support is really good. Did PT ever fix the problem you were having?
Ive been using studio one since 13 I never crash I do lose files lol cuz I got so many tracks I got temples so many favorite sound I make samples in seconds I save channel setting it's amazing I got the atom sq and I/o station best work flow ever
I used all Daws, protocols was my bread and butter, then I found studio one. Insane. The installation threw me off. It was so fast 😂😂
Now I've sold my soul to studio one
Just wanted to let you know that this is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of workflow. Studio One has been a major workflow improvement in everything related to music production in my life. I work for Waves tech support and I know all the DAWs out there. Studio One is taking a massive lead since it was manufactured much later than the big leaders in the game. They imported all the greatest features from all the other DAWs and therefore wins the race to my taste. Studio One is much faster on my computer, you might want to talk to their tech support team to resolve this behavior. BTW, reach out to the Waves tech support team to resolve the graphical behavior you were encountering with the R-Vox.
Side note…… you guys have any openings over at Waves tech support? Ya comment left me thinking.
dude! nice. you can pack folders to make folder tracks :))
mix bus is awesome
there are folder options, came from sonar, exept for Mixbus for stem mixing, not found a DAW with a smother work flow
ive worked with pt, reaoer and s1. i honestly think s1 is the best overall. i just wish thier resource useage was better and im not gonna lie the fender buy still makes me nervous. and its stll crappy if u dont use pro tools u dont get taken seriously despite the fact if u use aiff files u can transfer sessions just like if it was pt to pt..and always thanks for the content
The best daw!
I have Pro Tools, Cubase Pro, S1 Pro, and have used Logic and Reaper many years ago. In my experience, Pro tools still beats them in editing for the most part. If PT had an easier way to do slip editing (move the waveform within the clip) other than key modifiers I would say it's king indefinitely. Mixing is easiest in PT for me as well. All the plugins are right in front of you. In other daws you have a lot of clicking around to get to plugins, especially cubase because of the folder system for the left panel. Pro Tools absolutely sucks for other things than the other daws. Production sucks in PT. Takes forever to navigate. They recently added workspace, but that thing is trash. Sad attempt. If they upgrade it and pay attention to it more, it could be great. PT doesn't crash for me ever (windows pc) but man does it suck at utilizing cores. It's the worst of all the daws I have. Studio one isn't the best either, but it seems to vary from version to version. And don't get me started on the new pro tools subscription nonsense. Studio One is great, but still misses a bunch of feature sets. Also, this may be my biggest gripe, it's terrible at editing. I don't know how many times I've been editing a session and the come to find out that a bunch of my fades are moved and changed in length. That's because when you select clips it edits all of them. They claim that this is better and "no other daws do this", but for me it ruins sessions. You literally have to either click in an empty space after editing, or use the keyboard shortcut de-select all. What kind of crap is that. So, when you do certain macros, like maybe for stripping silence, or doing something similar to beat detective, you have to add de select all, or else it wont work right. And no good shortcut for collapsing folders. Only, collapse visible folders. What is that!? Why? How about collapse and expand all folders. Simple. Cubase does not have the shortcut, but if you hold control/cmd and click on a folder it will open all or close respectively. Pro tools is shift+F. Very nice. I hate that PT doesn't have a control room feature, and that the master fader is pre plugins. Dumb. Cubase has the most clicks. It is the most feature packed though. Cmon, vocal/pitch editing built in, not to mention auto aligning audio. Huge time saver, and money saver. Very customizable. Both S1 and Cubase have great slip editing though. For me the mixer in Cubase takes a bit of getting used to, but man, isn't it great that it's fully scalable. Wow. I also love that cubase has eq, comp, sat etc built into every track. So, if that's all you need, it's already there. And the fact that it handles big session and lots of plugins (cpu usage) better than the other daws, foe me, says something. All that under the hood and it still wrecks. Cubase also has the best midi editing. PT sucks at that. PT does have some surprisingly nice shortcuts though. It's still blagh though. I can't believe there isn't a daw that took PT approach of having all the plugins and volume/pan available on one screen. And I mean all tracks at once, not each track you click on. It makes so much more sense to see everything. I know the mixers do this, but it's just extra clicking. I know tons of people that use PT and never even use the mixer bc they have no need, and that is awesome. side note, automation in Cubase is not the best. you really gotta dial it in if you want to make small moves. Also, if you have the volume set to say negative 3 db, and make a small automation move to say plus 2 db. Then you decide you dont like it and hit ctrl/cmd z, it will actually revert to making the whole track to minus 1 db instead of leaving it at minus 3. So, if you werent paying attention, and do that, you wont' know what you had the track set at. The only work around is to click on the automation line after the end of the song. That will save the current volume you have it set at. What a pain, I can't believe it's that was, even today. Theyve had like 40 plus years to get this right. Cubase is my MAIN Daw btw, I use S1 sometimes, and PT when I'm doing studio work at other studios because of the ease of transferring session. Also another feature I can't believe any other daw had not adopted. Now that I have this off my chest I can be at peace. Thanks for reading.
studio one is great easy to use
Mostly I care about the super-fine editing. Does crossfading, nudging, micro-copying, file level changes, pitch control, etc. work the same as PT?
dear teacher...how to make the program change work?.....in studio one 5.......to control the articulations in kontakt,.? ?........thank you ..
I would suggest giving Reaper a try. It's affordable, versatile, powerful and there is a very helpful community on their forum. ( Reaper fanboy here :D )
I plan to for sure. It’s the most daunting for me I think.
Stick with S1 it's user friendly
