I honestly think that hybe stans are deluding themselves into thinking min heejin is the only problem at hybe and after she’s fired everything will be sunshine and rainbows, except it won’t. From sexualizing minors, to stealing work from small artists, to giving awful vocal training to idols, hybe has many flaws and problems. Just because she is a bad person it doesn’t mean hybe is a good company.

As someone who listens to both (G)-IDLE's earlier and latest music, I think that the visual aspects of their creative direction has gotten stronger (e.g. MVs, stage outfits and teasers) but at the expense of their musical direction getting weaker.

Alot of criticism towards IVEs Baddie wasnt even about the actual song, but the fact they IVE 'changed' their concept and were just 'following trends'. Which is strange, because before Baddies release, I saw alot of antis calling IVE one trick ponies and that they were getting boring, but now that they switched things up, they should suddenly go back to the elegant concept? Secondly, IVEs concept was never just supposed to be royal and elegant, but to show several styles and concepts, which is reflected by the groups name, meaning 'Show what I have'. Thirdly, Baddie wasnt even following trends. When IVE released Baddie, there weren't alot of groups doing girl crush, as far as I know, but fresh and cute. Plus, its not like the girl crush concept came out of nowhere, we've seen this in songs like Kitsch and other bsides.
People made up their minds about the fact that ive had a specific concept (royal, chaebol crush, whatever you wanna call it) when in reality they never really did and then these same people lost their minds once ive tried something "new" (which wasn't even really new because like you said, they already hinted at this sound with songs kitsch). This is what happens when you put a group in a box: you will either start thinking they're boring and can only do the same thing or that they shouldn't even try to experiment and should only stick to one thing. Luckily ive was able to break free from that, or at least that's what i like to think.

Idk, but when I saw the MV for sticky, I got a little weirded out because they did sexy things, and even though they're all adults, Haneul just turned the legal age (19) which means she was a minor since debut and only turned an adult in July. I've always found it weird that when you're a minor (and you turn the legal age the next year), you do sexy things as a minor it's illegal, but as soon as the clock strikes 12 and it's your birthday officially and you turn the legal age, you can legally do sexy things when just a few seconds ago it would be illegal and creepy for you to do it.
Yeah that's quite weird if you think about it, it's like they were counting down the days to make Haneul do all that. There are many things that come into play when it comes to rapping, such as flow, delivery, charisma, enunciation...if you don't possess these qualities you're not gonna be a skilled rapper, no matter if you write what you sing.

I actually loved Bad Villian's debut and found it to be very different from the usual forced "girl crush" concept. I think people are over exaggerating the cute concept "epidemic". There are still more girl groups making girl crush music. YG is trying too hard to force Ahyeon into the spotlight. In K-Pop, although it sounds bad, male vocalists usually have better vocals than female ones, although female idols tend to be more recognized by vocalists like Taeyeon or others. I have never found a bad encore from a male group that is based on vocals or vocals. Even the ones that are not based on vocals compared to a female group, the only bad one I know is the same as El de zb1 and jimin's, but after them I don't know any because they are always the female ones and it has nothing to do with misogyny or nothing like it, but it is a reality.

I honestly feel like nwjs new cb lacked, one of the reasons i dont stan them anymore (especially the choreo, their was alot of hand movements and not much body movement except for how sweet). Newjeans has so much potential but the company it not pushing them to reach it. Ive and Aespa are my 2 fav groups from 4th gen and I don't think they have any weak comeback so far. I like let's say 65-70% of their discographies which is a lot and their title tracks are always amazing. Tbh I think lack of stage presence immediately makes an idol unready for a solo debut.
Alot of criticism towards IVEs Baddie wasnt even about the actual song, but the fact they IVE 'changed' their concept and were just 'following trends'. Which is strange, because before Baddies release, I saw alot of antis calling IVE one trick ponies and that they were getting boring, but now that they switched things up, they should suddenly go back to the elegant concept? Secondly, IVEs concept was never just supposed to be royal and elegant, but to show several styles and concepts, which is reflected by the groups name, meaning 'Show what I have'. Thirdly, Baddie wasnt even following trends. When IVE released Baddie, there weren't alot of groups doing girl crush, as far as I know, but fresh and cute. Plus, its not like the girl crush concept came out of nowhere, we've seen this in songs like Kitsch and other bsides.
People made up their minds about the fact that ive had a specific concept (royal, chaebol crush, whatever you wanna call it) when in reality they never really did and then these same people lost their minds once ive tried something "new" (which wasn't even really new because like you said, they already hinted at this sound with songs kitsch). This is what happens when you put a group in a box: you will either start thinking they're boring and can only do the same thing or that they shouldn't even try to experiment and should only stick to one thing. Luckily ive was able to break free from that, or at least that's what i like to think.

Idk, but when I saw the MV for sticky, I got a little weirded out because they did sexy things, and even though they're all adults, Haneul just turned the legal age (19) which means she was a minor since debut and only turned an adult in July. I've always found it weird that when you're a minor (and you turn the legal age the next year), you do sexy things as a minor it's illegal, but as soon as the clock strikes 12 and it's your birthday officially and you turn the legal age, you can legally do sexy things when just a few seconds ago it would be illegal and creepy for you to do it.
Yeah that's quite weird if you think about it, it's like they were counting down the days to make Haneul do all that. Now they're all legal adults and if they're comfortable doing a sexy concept i'm happy for them and i support them, but i just hope that their company will never make their sexiness the main focus and will keep their talents in the spotlight. Even though all of kpop depends on feeding into fans parasocial delusions, the way chan fed so much into it and acted like the fans were his close friends was completely unprofessional. Him complaining about a group not properly greeting him to the TENS OF THOUSANDS of fans watching was honestly really disappointing. Fans will always take his side and for someone "always watching" on the internet, he should've known they would take his words and use it against other groups. I won't argue with the fact that writing your own lyrics makes you more of a real and respectable rapper because i agree, but what i was trying to say is that rap skills have little to do with writing your own lyrics. I could very well write some amazing rap lyrics and make a song, but i have zero flow and technique so it would sound awful. On the other hand, someone else could rap to lyrics that are not theirs, but still showcase phenomenal skills...would you still regard me as the better rapper just because i wrote my lyrics?

If Min Hee Jin hadn't involved the groups and handled the situation professionally, I would have considered her a victim, but she is really manipulative.
I actually loved Bad Villian's debut and found it to be very different from the usual forced "girl crush" concept.
I think people are over exaggerating the cute concept "epidemic". There are still more girl groups making girl crush music.
YG is trying too hard to force Ahyeon into the spotlight. She would get so much less hate if they let her shine at singing without pushing it. There was no need to make her a rapper when there were already 2 rappers. There is also no need to give her such high notes to the point where she has to exceed her range every time to hit it which could damage her vocal chords. Ahyeon was a star then and will probably still be a star now, no need to force it so much.

In K-Pop, although it sounds bad, male vocalists usually have better vocals than female ones, although female idols tend to be more recognized by vocalists like Taeyeon or others. I have never found a bad encore from a male group that is based on vocals or vocals. Even the ones that are not based on vocals compared to a female group, the only bad one I know is the same as El de zb1 and jimin's, but after them I don't know any because they are always the female ones and it has nothing to do with misogyny or nothing like it, but it is a reality.
And I don't mean main vocalists, I mean average vocalists or lead vocalists

They’re talent has always come first, it’s one of the main things ppl talk about when bringing up kiof. Them being recognized for their talents and good music is what got them out of being nugu to begin with. If that’s all you see ppl talk about then that’s a you and your algorithm problem.
I honestly feel like nwjs new cb lacked, one of the reasons i dont stan them anymore (especially the choreo, their was alot of hand movements and not much body movement except for how sweet). Newjeans has so much potential but the company it not pushing them to reach it. I've also noticed that newjeans live stage performance on inkigayo ect. are very weak and their become slightly lazy with their performances compared to other artists/groups. Either way i still love ot5 newjeans and hopefully their next cb is more energetic and has more efforts put into it

As a fan since debut, these girls are so talented and it makes me so happy to see them get more popular especially with their first win, but recently their choreos have gotten more "sexier" with loads of twerking and sensual moves which are just straight in your face. People see negativity in everything because of 1% dululu people you can't neglect other 99% people those wants chan's room chan is the most comforting person in k-pop industry he is very genuine,kind and caring person i know. he give help and hope to the peoples, gives advice, talk about general life, about many topics that helps to grow as person he is like teacher, brother, friends with whom we spent time with. I am happy he always there for people who need him he is always with us with music, bubble msg or by insta live etc.

I understand what you mean but what you wrote is exactly the problem: people treated him like a close friend, a brother, a teacher but the truth is you don't even know him as a person. It's fine to find comfort in an idol and like to chat with him, talk about life, share common interests and things like that, but some stays did not just view him as an idol but almost as a family member or a boyfriend and this is why some unpleasant things happened. His lives were fun and i wouldn't be mad if chan's room came back in the future, but only if the fandom grows up and realizes that you can't just take everything he says and run with it, because this is just gonna damage innocent people, chan included.
Girl I love Chan's room but I gotta disagree. Bangchan has been doing it for years and now that Skz become more and more popular, antis and haters will do anything they can to tarnish his reputation by putting words in his mouth that he didn't say. I would rather Chan's room getting banned than seeing having to apologize again bec some dumb stans couldn't process his words and opinions.

59. I mostly disagree on badvillain. Everything about their title track was safe, generic and forgettable af including the mv. Their worst song imo and a crappy introduction to the group.
But their other songs have heavy rapping hiphop vibe which is still hard to find in kpop girl groups. XG's woke up is the only one I've heard that has a similar sound.
