It pisses me off that we’re associating innocent, cute stuff with sexual desires. I loved illit’s concept, and I hate how ppl think just bc it’s soft that it’s predatory. Like think about it; if you automatically associate cute things with being something sexual, aren’t you the problem ?? Why are u automatically assuming that something that’s soft is inappropriate?? It’s very hypocritical, especially if you consider the fact that kiss of life are praised for being grown but the oldest member of Illit (who is younger than kiss of life’s maknae) is considered “too old” for the group 😭
The funny thing is people call groups like Newjeans and ILLIT children when in both groups there are 3 members older than KIOFL's youngest member 😭

the other kpop groups like ILLIT for example and newjeans makes either cute (ILLIT) or Innocent Teen crush or aesthetic teeny (😭) songs
In fact, for Haneul from Kiss of Life, the only difference between her and Eunchae from Lessirafim is one year, but at the same time everyone demands that Eunchae not be given short clothes and say that they do not fit. Their dances are like Smart, but at the same time no one objects to Kiss of Life's bold dances, which doesn't suit Haneul either. No one says a word about it and this is literally a double standard
On one hand i get having this mindset because Eunchae is still technically a minor in Korea, while Haneul is 19 so is overage, but it sounds kinda ridiculous if you put it like that. Screaming about a 19 year old being cunty is just so weird 💀 she’s still a teenager after all, definitely not a grown woman like some of their stans paint the girls to be

I would prob call a group cunty when the youngest is 22 and the oldest is in their late 20s-early 30s. But again stans would also not tune into that so called group

@@slushiettemiracles right, as a KIOF fan myself, when i found a video made by KIOF fans saying "this is what happen when you debut grown women", someone in the comment section said "but their maknae just turned 18, that's not a grown women" and the video creator proceeded to answer "at least they're not 14 or something", I was like... what????? just because there minors out there who debuted as idols, that doesn't make a 18 year old women a grown adult, does it?
imo, no company currently really seem to vocally train idols well.

yg relies on the charisma and unique tone over technique
sm tends to look for good vocalists who already have technique down. its not like sm has really good vocal coaches, they tend to scout idols who are already vocally talented and knew how to nurture it
That's why the excuse of " It's the company fault " is not valid anymore, because girl, you are not a baby anymore to always depend on what the company gives you. Idols have a brain so they should start working to improve themselves even if it means without anyone help.
@ayanobadass949 idk vocals are smt which are very difficult to self train. Im not saying its impossible, but considering the already hectic schedule of idols (probably full of dance training) there's no need to be so mean.

@@brunetteartist2750 I know that the company should train them better but with the current state kpop is in ( the lack of strong vocalist ), i think companies are not as reliable as they used to be cz they know they can make easy money without giving their groups proper vocal training ( since 3rd gen ). It's time for the idols to start doing something on their own if they consider vocal as important, idk maybe with all the money they get they could hire themsleves some competent vocal teachers like some Skz and Exo members.

nurturing good vocalists is better than just being a bad singer so imo more companies should be doing the sm thing. Irris' company did it. Fifty Fifty kinda did it.

opinion #5: obviously, certain idols can't sing, telling the company to provide more vocals lessons isn't gonna help one bit, if the idol is a bad singer, training might make them tolerable to hear but they can't become mariah carey or some shit with 'vocal lessons', they gotta be able to sing the basics.

The problem with the singing ability is that SM chooses Idols who can sing and are really talented however they don't train their idols which is why a lot regress unless they seek outside training. HYBE does not focus on finding the best vocalists so after they debut if the idols themselves don't seek improvement they will regress and be worse than they already are. It's not a matter of training because everyone should realize by now that the "training" they did in rookie years is just performance practice. Being taught choreography and lyrics and then performing it back to whoever the judges are in the company. If an idol wants to ACTUALLY improve they have to go out of their way to improve. And yes part of improving is practicing but for singing (and dancing lowkey) there's a technical aspect that you can't glide by just singing songs every day that's not how it works.
Someone like Sakura who gets heavily criticized for her vocals will not just find improvement by singing live everywhere. That's gonna help her stamina but the problem lies in her actual voice, not her stability. A lot of y'all allow idols a pass if they're stable even though they still can't sing well. If an idol wants to improve they will invest in singing lessons. Sakura never had to improve her vocals before le Sserafim however now that the group is amassing more popularity and success she realized that she needs to improve her abilities which is why she recently signed up for singing lessons.
People also need to take into account that idols practice A LOT and that they go to A LOT of events. You should NOT expect them to sing live every time their companies literally work them to the bone booking gigs everywhere on top of having comebacks every few months. Yall can be understanding and realize an idol won't sing live EVERYWHERE and when they do you shouldn't JUMP at the chance to HATE on them.
Le Sserafim improved a lot in stability but they are still vocally weak. Their Coachella performance was very good the energy was up, the choreography didn't get messed up and they sang with no backtrack HOWEVER the vocals were very hit or miss. They should be praised for singing with NO backtrack while dancing because a LOT of artists don't do that but it is also okay to criticize them for not being able to sing well all the way through. They had MONTHS of practice and when the time came they fell short vocally. They should've been able to sing well throughout the performance given how much they should be practicing on a regular but don't hate on the girls they worked hard. Learn to criticise not hate.

And about regressing.. it's upto idols if they wanna continue to improve or not after success and the one who seek other vocal couches may not prefer style of vocal .. Like SM had vocal couches like yoo youngjin and many others
Ok here’s my ranking of le sserafim at coachella from best to worst
1.Chaewon: literally carried, sounded good most of the time
2.Sakura: (shockingly👀) sounded almost too stable, the backtrack must’ve been LOUD during her parts cause you couldn’t even hear her breathing once, but still…
3.Yunjin: she’s supposed to be a main vocalist but it’s always 50/50 when it comes to her. Either great or awful. No in between
4.Kazuha: usually the most stable during lives, idk what happened here
5.Eunchae: couldn’t hold a note, constantly out of breath, sounded genuinely terrible, i felt so bad for her
PEOPLE SAY KURA IS THE WORST ONE FOR SINGING LIVE WHEN EUNCHAE EXISTS, SHE LACKS SM BREATH CONTROL

I disagree with the part where you said training can't make idols sing good because singing is something anyone can learn with proper coaching and training. Yes I know some people are naturally good singers but the bad singers can compete them if they are given training.

I thought their performance was solidly okay, but I’m pretty sure I would have thought of it as better if there wasn’t other k-groups also at Coachella. On one hand, that is because in a huge ateez and the rose fan, but I feel like ateez performing the day before might have set expectations high, at least for me, thereby making lsrfm’s performance seem even worse, despite the fact that it wasn’t. Also the one about speculation on idol’s love lives !! Its genuinely insane how I’ve seen people come up with elaborate and explicit things about idols sleeping with another of the opposite sex but then jump on someone for saying that they related to an idol in a way that involves their queerness 💀

Even chaewon is struggling at the last song, her high note is weak. Le sserafim known for their hardcore choreo, like even in this coachella performance they reduce a lot of dancing and it's still really hard and tired af. Ok really unpopular opinion here that most people seem to disregard: kpop and politics are two things that should not be put together. It’s just never going to work because no company will allow their idol to openly support a side as to not lose fame or popularity. It’s the harsh truth and we have no choice but to accept it. Another harsh truth is that a lot of people aren’t willing to participate in the boycott. Some people just don’t care enough and that is that. Kpop fans cancelling idols for purchasing items/subtly promoting items from boycotted brands isn’t going to help Palestine the slightest. At the same time, kpop stans also shouldn’t try to desperately trying to find "clues" that their faves support Palestine, because were probably just never going to know. If you want to support Palestine you could donate or, if you don’t have the money, you could at least spread awareness through social media apps. However, cancelling idols and even other celebrities isn’t going to do shit.

Wait a minute, i’m fully convinced Sakura either lip synced or had an extremely heavy back track even if technically coachella only allows live singing. The other girls voices sounded wobbly as they were moving and dancing but kura’s didn’t and it sounded unnatural compared to the other members.
There were some moments when you could hear her singing live but other moments made me wonder if she was somewhat lip syncing 🤔

The backtrack was just very loud in her parts in order to help drown out her voice. Maybe they want didn’t want her to get dragged all over again for her vocals

I would also like to add the responsibility regarding your own vocal health (especially if you are a main vocalist). If your work needs you to sing 90 pcg of the time and your company is not providing anything for your vocal health, it is time for you to step your game up, especially when your fans are constantly warning you about that for a year and you are about to perform at bigger events. You should respect the things you are making a living out of. IVE vocal improvement from after like to I'm is incredible(the company and the girls both worked hard on that). Seungmin from SKZ attends a vocal coach outside the company as soon as their main vocal left the group putting him under tremendous pressure of being the main vocal(He did it all by himself and now lee know and I.N both attend vocal lessons as well). If these people can improve so can Lesserafirm especially when they are about to perform at Coachella. The performance is embarrassing to say the least and people outside will not know what company they belong to....they will criticize them, understandably so.
Thank you so much for speaking about that it`s not the companys fault alone that an idol can`t sing. maybe the comparison is a little bit weird but maybe it`s not but Su-Metal, the main singer of Babymetal, also started her career very early when she was a child/teenager but her voice was very good at that time but you can still hear in newer performances that her voice became even better. So i wonder why Su-Metal was able to get a even stronger voice but Sakura is a bad singer for 10 years. I slowly start to think that if she really would care about her singing ability, then she would take every chance she can get to train her vocals but i think she doesn`t do that because she`s famous enough even though she can`t sing. the kiss of life one makes me sad bcuz i was literally there when they were dropping teasers. i was there when sugarcoat came out. i waited excitedly for the rest of the solos up until their debut. im happy theyre popular but some of their stans need to shut up.
Finally someone is saying it, It annoys me when an idol gets called out for their terrible vocals and everyone is quick to blame the company. Every idol knows the requirements of their job and one of the requirements is to sing. For le sserafim situation even if the company wasn't willing to give them proper lessons the girls have money and connections where they could go out and find someone themselves or pay for it. If they wanted it badly they would have found a way.
FINALLY someone with some common sense😭 people focus too much on private lives instead of real life problems, they just pretend to do activism but never actually do it, I deleted Insta and X bc of the hate tweets and how toxic it is, and I’ve finally opened my eyes and I have started to boycott the big 4! 😭 People just hate to hate, they just like to bully the idols atp 💀

No because the way singing is both a passion and a talent, unlike other arts I'd say singing is the hardest thing to train someone to be good at, and with less-than-mediocre vocal training in these companies it's no wonder 50% of the industry can barely hold a note for 2 seconds. The majority of the best vocalists in the industry were already amazing before they even became a trainee, so it just goes to show how little training actually plays in K-pop.

I've been a kiof fan since pre-debut, Haneul had just turned 18 a few months before they debuted with Shhh, I feel like so many Kissies like to the flex the fact that the members are so "cunty", "sexy" and how they're "grown women" when their youngest member was literally born in 2005 and the oldest being born in 2000

As a Kissy, it's like people just stan them as a way to feel better than other fandoms like Baemon or new jeans (I'm a stan of both btw) and only focus on the fact that the girls are overage. It's like okay that's good but what else? They have so much talent and we don't need to ONLY focus on their age!
And KIOF isn't "better" or "different" from other girl groups, all groups have something unique about them and we can praise all groups without belittling one for something they can't control (age). Be better Kissys

And about Sakura, Its true she debuted 3-4 times in j pop and K pop but her vocal quality degraded time to time. She was an icon in J pop, because her vocals were trained to sing like it, people and these fvking companies just vote and debut those who are popular not them who have the real talent. I must say Le sserafim's dancing style is amazing but the vocals lack, except eunchae and yunjin. Also the fact Sakura's vocals were great in IZ*one but in Le sserafim her vocals are literally sound like someone Novice singing.

The only things I have to say are about Opinions 6 & 7
6. It’s really unfortunate that the lack of Vocalists have been declining, I agree that it always isn’t the companies fault but they put themselves in the position and set themselves up for the future issues cause they are the ones picking the members who will be part of whatever group they decide to make. I also partially agree that regardless of how much an Idol practices to sing there sometimes can’t be certain changes, but growth is possible, they just need to find their weak points and be aware of them in order to grow as a vocalist.
7. I agree that Queendom Puzzle did everyone no favors, however I partially disagree about Queendom being a waste of time, in any case yes it didn’t give any group a ticket to stardom, but the groups did gain some exposure for their stages and in a way it did bring more attention to certain groups, so in a way Queendom was somewhat helpful. However Queendom Puzzle was really poorly thought out, on paper the idea sounded great, but you need to do more than just picking members from different groups to be apart of something, it was kinda like the same with Girls Feverse :(
