In reference to people at Fort Sumner not caring about Billy, I can understand it. I grew up next to Bath, NC, where Blackbeard the Pirate lived for a little while after the Governor pardoned him. Of course, he later went back into piracy and later killed by the military. When I go home for Christmas, I usually ride around the area where he lived and there are always people walking around reading the landmarks. But as a kid, I don't ever remember any locals talking about it. No one I knew really cared. I also think about the first time I went to Washington DC and was so excited to visit Ford Theatre where Lincoln was killed. The girl I stayed with couldn't have cared less about it. I think if you lived in a historical significant place for a long time (or all your life) it's just a normal thing and no big deal.
Awesome stream, Gentlemen. Thanks for the great info. I knew almost nothing about that area, the LX and LS Ranches. Last time I drove through the Panhandle I was not up on my BTK.
another informative great show, I missed the live show as the show starts at 6.30 am Mondays in Australia and sometimes, I am in a rush. In regard to Fort Sumner, I have been to the cemetery, and they have a good tourist centre next door and its awesome to stand beside the marker where Billy was killed where the Maxwell house once stood. but I do feel that the Government of New Mexico could do a heck of a lot more in the historic Billy sites including Lincoln, Blazer Mill and many other sites. In Alburquerque airport and the hotels there are no tourist brochures on Billy the kid, Lincoln etc. I haven't been to Tombstone or Cody, but they do a great job in keeping the legends alive and generate a lot of tourism. Thank heavens the Coalition is finding the old, neglected place such as the ranches and putting up grave markers etc.
In reference to Billy's hair being saved, why would someone do that? I know people save locks of hair for keepsakes but not usually handfuls. Wigs usually require at least 10 inches...so it seems unlikely to me that handfuls were saved from a relatilvely unknown cowboy. Are there other reasons to save that much hair?
I live in North Dakota and worked with a woman whose husband used to live in New Mexico and I was telling them about my interest in BTK and would like to go to that area when I retired. Well anyway he wasn't too interested and all he said he was a frkin killer. So there was another disinterested person. I pretty much ended the conversation right there. But I'm still not going to throw my BTK scrap book away with hundreds of pictures in it.

Missed the live but catching the replay
Good show boys. I was really enjoying the photo video comparisons.

Billy could dance to anything but his hair was strictly rock & roll
I appreciate people who say it like it really is. Don’t change, Josh!
Thanks brother. Sometimes I just can’t help myself lol
@joshslatten8109 PS, I love the photo comparison. It's like a time machine to me.
Yeah it’s really cool to see the side by side comparison
Crap, I missed it again.. me and the fam are at Panama City Beach…
Thanks guys 🤠 👍
I heard that hat BTK had on on the photo was a hat supposedly furnished by the photographer.
Siringo also said there was grass behind the fence at the Maxwell house.
Who said there wasn’t?

Good question. I'd like to know the provenance of the hair. Seems like if it was definitely his hair a collector would pay big bucks for it.
@@ninjaaitools Agree. And, the museum could still save some for display - and be thousands richer.
@@honeybee1888 Must not be very good provenance.
Coke

Unfortunately people are ignorant to who Billy really was. I run into that all the time
@@joshslatten8109 I agree. Just a boy trying to survive in the days of no food stamps, social programs and they lived and died by the gun!
Damnit I missed it!! I tried my best to make it and real life was an ass. I will watch it now though. Do you only do Sunday shows
Our live shows are only on Sundays, yeah. I find that real life is an ass most days lol
