Glad to see you posting again. You need to get to work on the cabin...hopefully the water damage isn't too bad from the tarp ripping. I would hate to see this cabin fall apart after all the work you put into it.
Kyle good to see you again. Skeeter looks so happy, he will love being there this winter. Looking forward to seeing future projects. Stay safe and God Bless.
I'd spend some good money on a 10 cubic foot two-wheeled wheelbarrow which you could bring a lot of stuff in on and can be pushed or pulled over rough spots on the trail over debris (as opposed to a single-wheeled wheelbarrow), then you can use it to haul your logs and various debris. You're a young man but *use those powerful leg muscles to lift* heavy things while *keeping your back straight.* A thicker mil tarp is good for raking away debris. Just rake it onto the tarp, fold it over like a pierogi, and haul it off to your dump. I always thought if I had a cabin dog or hunting dog that I would train it pavlovian style to get a treat when it hears a police whistle and returns. It's not unusual for a dog to run off and tree some critter way beyond your sight and hearing but a dog probably can hear a police whistle up to a mile. Skeeter's still young enough to be trained to one.
Peaceful and serene, just the way I like it. lol What satifaction you much feel in regards to your build and not just thinking about it but actually doing it. Thanks and love the way Skeeter's ears flap about when he runs. He's one happy soul just like HIS buddy. 👍
A second building is a good idea. Maybe keep some clothes and boots out there if you're worried about anything happening to the cabin. Always try to plan ahead.
or find some metal boxes to store food and stuff in and put rat poison around your cabin until you come back. As long as skeeter can't get to it, you should be good to go.
Love your hat. That's my favorite place to shop L&M Fleet Supply. Love the one in Bemidji, MN. Sad to say when Menards moved in L&M took a beating. But there's still lots of things they have that Menards does not. I love Skeeter, he's so bouncy in the woods, kinda like Tigger. Stock up on beans too. Put a pot of beans on your wood stove. Yum. Good, cheap food. 😊
You need to be more careful. Kevlar chaps and ear and eye protection while operating a chain saw are a must. I was once young and strong and now I am old a deaf because I never wore ear protection.
Very smart to have a back up plan. When you heat and cook with wood, the danger is always there. We had a old building on our property we moved and made into a cabin. This summer we got a heater set up in it and 2 bunks and kitchen. Also moved a outhouse onto the property. So if it ever happens....we are covered. Looking forward to watching your channel this winter
Been eagerly awaiting the start of this winter for more cabin content. Only found your channel a few weeks ago but been really enjoying seeing the place develop and all of these wonderful plans coming together. Can't wait to see what you do this winter!
Wow so much snow! It hit us a week ago but not much came down. I'm enjoying the snow free time to finish off splitting my firewood! Great to see you and Skeeter again! And excited to see your new building. A friend of mine has an outbuilding for showering/bathroom/laundry. Other than someone doing a shit job on the pipes and it freezing last winter she loves it lol.
Its great to see the cabin again Kyle. Looking forward to following all your projects this winter. I really like the idea of a second, seperate building. Good luck with everything.
Awesome! I just bouhgt a cabin and placed it on my land! Building a food forest homestead! Just found your channel, if you're ever in the area you can come chill for sure! Eat from the garden !
Good to see you again!! That second building is a great idea, Kyle. Several functions. We have one here on the GFT that we can duck into in case of fire. Take care and give The Skeeter a pat on the head. I feel for you bringing in the new stove. LOL!!
So peaceful watching the snow fall on the screen. I live in Northern Ontario and we've had a dusting of snow here and there but no real accumulation as of yet.
I would look into a snowmobile or a four wheeler with a sled to help with hauling supplies up to your cabin, having something like that would definitely be a good utility. Great videos I look forward to watching the next project(s).
oh man winter is coming in like a wrecking ball! We are up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in a small cabin in the middle of the wilderness! Hoping to survive winter!
Man i admire your dedication and hard worker you are.and pet lover. Your very cool brother. Yeah it seems like 90's here couple weeks ago now its down low 40s and leaves are dead and fallin quick.i was hopeing to go on week camp trip before all this but nope.
Wife and I are looking into moving to duluth or two harbors and buying land up by Ely. Kind of a hidden gem up there. Not to mention all the fishing and winter activities.
The final shot of you driving away reminds me of Joe from JoeandZachSurvival driving the loop near his tent right before deer season. Can't wait for future uploads...
@@KYLESCABIN That's cool. I knew you were both Minnesota dudes. Didn't realize your places were near each other. I wonder how close Martin's cabin (TheNorthwoodsman1) is to yours.
Hi Kyle. Snowed like crazy over here in Otter Tail County today. I’ve got a couple brothers “a bit closer” to you and looks like winter there too. I’m looking forward to seeing what you accomplish next.
I like the welder’s gloves for working the pick-up. Good grip, great protection!
Sometimes I need to be reminded. I love your videos! I had to go back to the last few to make sure I gave them the thumbs up. Cheers
Ohhhh Skeeter is adorable!! I'm subscribing because of him!! LOL!! Love the way he hops!! LOL!!
Skeeter could also be named Bouncer!
What a GOOD friend!
The way skeeter BOUNCED over those logs to chase the squirrel 😂 glad to see the pup loves his cabin life
This is what I long for, a cabin like this to get away from all the nonsense.
This should be called "The Skeeter" channel. He steals the show every time. Keep up the vids
Such a beautiful place
Lucky to get layed off. Get a chance to enjoy life. I had to work year around all my life
glad to see you back at the cabin kinda missed you all summer.
Missed you too!
Man's best friend.
Good job Kyle, enjoyed the video! Glad to see a young man doing good things not burning buildings!
I must say Kyle, that I’m very impressed that as a young man you are a “Jack of All Trades”.
Great job mate, love your work !.............from Australia :-)
Can't wait for you to get back for the winter and see all the new projects taking place.
Watched all your videos last weekend, great job, keep it up.
Glad to see you posting again. You need to get to work on the cabin...hopefully the water damage isn't too bad from the tarp ripping. I would hate to see this cabin fall apart after all the work you put into it.
You get SO much done! I would be exhausted from the walk alone. lol
Looking forward to the projects..
Skeeter is beautiful, I had a Springer Spaniel like him several years back, their good natured loving dogs.
Congratulations! Way to go
That is one happy dog! Looking forward to the next build.
Kyle good to see you again. Skeeter looks so happy, he will love being there this winter. Looking forward to seeing future projects. Stay safe and God Bless.
Really digging your videos! I watched them all and sub'd. Thanks for sharing with us!
Like the idea of a heated escape building. Not stinking like a pole cat is nice too
Wonderful video, Kyle. Superb opening with Skeeter getting called and coming galloping 🙂
Glad your back to the cabin ... can't wait for you to get back full time for the winter and keep the videos coming !
Enjoy watching and waiting for future improvements. Great job!

Beautiful place to escape to...and snowing too...all the best with your project..
I am excited to see the updates you are planning. You are living the dream my friend.

The snow around the cabin looks so nice.
Looking forward to some long, winter videos! All the best!
I see your wood pile outback, it would be kinda nice to have a roof over it to keep your wood dry.
Very cool to see you back at the cabin! Skeeter lol he is in heaven out there !!
Keep up the good work bro will be fun to watch you accomplish some
Stuff!!
Great to see you and skeeter again.cabin looks great still.enjiy and stay safe.

I was thinking the same thing, spare clothes and food. I hadn't thought about boots. And make sure the out house is big enough to do laundry.
Cabins are great places to take old donations, or old gear. A tote with some of your old clothes in it would be a life saver.

Hi Kyle, Glad to see a new video, thank you. The first snow, so beautiful.
Glad to see you back , take care
You are living the "Dream" Good for you

You never miss anything until it's gone. I'm in the same boat!
I’m excited to see the improvements this winter. Looks great Kyle 👍🏻
Looking forward to your return and roof development.
👍👍👍

Man I hope you can get a cheap used snow machine in the future, that would sure help with getting things back to the cabin.
Nice to see your ok.
It's good to see you back at the cabin..I've missed your videos..
Looking forward to seeing your upcoming projects. 😁
Great job on your cabin! An extra building IS a excellent idea, had not thought of that..things to consider living off grid in the woods. Thanks!
a file would go a long way on your chainsaw chain, makes life so much easier. Have a good season!
Its great to see the cabin again Kyle. Looking forward to following all your projects this winter. I really like the idea of a second, seperate building. Good luck with everything.
Enjoy watching your development of the cabin.
Love your place and video's.
If I weren't so darn busy I would drive the 14 hours to help you with the roof and love every minute of it.
Why mention it then?
