Watching you roll the stove up the hill, I wanted to step in and help! You should be proud of your cabin. It will bring you a great deal of joy. I remember one night I was in my camp sleeping. I had the window slightly open and could hear some branches break. I sat on the side of my bed with my elbows resting on the window sill. About ten minutes later I saw this big brown object move. It was a moose and close by. I watched it through the moonlight. With each step I could hear the thump, thump, thump of its hoof stepping on the ground. I thought to myself it must be a big moose. The next morning I observed its tracks only to conclude it was a yearling moose! Nonetheless, it was an experience to remember.
Really glad to see you will be on a lot now. As you were unloading and moving that stove, I kept thinking "doesn't he know anyone who can help? Then at the end you mentioned your dad." It is great seeing a hard working industrious young man do this though mostly alone. Thanks for sharing your life with us Kyle.
So many off grid pros commenting 😂😂. You got it to camp that's all that matters. That stove should blow you out of that cabin but I'd rather have the ability to do that than freeze. Love the cabin and the scenery up there. Got to my property in northern Wisconsin for a week but couldn't get my 16x20 off grid cabin rolling this year. Lumber prices are ridiculous presently but I sure wish I had it done. Looking forward to spending my winter's up there for my winter layoffs from work. Enjoy!
Hey Kyle, a lot of credit to ya buddy. I’m a photographer who’s bought land in Thunder Bay and I plan to start a channel similar about building my place... seeing your tripod adds a bit of perspective. Great job. It’s not about the gear but all about the storytelling or conversations you’re sharing. Cheers man
Will you pack a bag of zipties, plus a medkit, and maybe some ratchet straps and a comealong? I used to be a mover & personally I would've strapped up the stove to the sled then used a tree and a comealong to get that up there.
Way to power through and accomplish the task at hand. Very admirable. Start looking into ways to work smarter, not harder. Know you’re young now, but your body will thank you as you get older. Best to avoid injuries earlier on.
You'll get a lot of "you should of......" comments but impressive work grinding that woodstove up that hill. Nothing comes easy living remote and off grid and you're doing great. Thanks for letting us be a part of it all. Cheers from Wisconsin. :)
Haha no matter what there is always a lot of “you should of” comments. Thanks for watching and commenting. The stove looks really nice and heats the cabin well.
Whew. glad you made it up the hill, rolling the stove, and no back or other problems doing it. Lots of good comments on how it should have been done... My suggestion, find that Moose, put a harness on him, and have him pull the stove, no problem for the Moose. 😎👍😁
Dude, I’ve the same problem with a hill by my deer stand. Get a snatch block, a long rope, and pull it up the hill by walking down the hill. It works very well. Work smarter, not harder. As you get older, you’ll learn to appreciate things like wheels, pulleys, and levers...ramps too.
Hey Kyle good to see ya back. That was quite a chore getting the stove up the hill but, you did it and that's what counts. Now you and Ciera will have a nice stove to keep you guys and your home nice and toasty. Thanks for sharing.
Since the down trees were in the same spot it was probably from a root disease. Sorry to see you weren't quite prepared but that's also a good way to learn. You're young, so keep learning like putting your sled so you could drop the stove right into it. The difference of those that can and those that can't is those that can't, give up. Remember that your brain is stronger than your back. And Son, I don't see much "Giving Up" in you. You should be proud of yourself!
Yay, my husband and I are glad you are back. He is an Equipment Operator and celebrates getting laid off with a beer too..lol. Oh my...rough getting that heavy wood stove up that hill! Love your videos!
Those younger days, if something got in your way sheer brute strength and determination got it out of your way. You'll think of the easier ways the older (and lazier) you get, for now good work.
Me too and I’m 74. One idea also was to leave it in the sled and do the suggested previously with a rope and pulley or just push it a foot at a time using something to brake the sled in back. Hopefully he learns something from this. Get that snowmobile! He sure is a worker! I call him Seal Team Kyle!
I have seen a lot of comments saying how you should get that stove up the hill. Personally, I say you got the job done, it didn't roll back on top of you, and by now you are enjoying the heat. I would suggest a few ideas for that hill, as it looks to be a continual issue. You could dig it with a shovel into a gradual slope, lot of tough work. You could collect all the rocks around and pile them into a slope part of the way then shovel the dirt on top to make your slope. Take 2-3 long logs and make a bridge to gentle up that slope. Or continue to fight it, realizing if you hurt your leg you are in trouble or at least unlikely to be able to stay there to recuperate. I enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing
I have a come-along that has saved me many times moving heavy things (since I'm not really all that strong). You can usually pick them up for under $50. Good luck with your project!
Nice video. You will save a lot of time and money not having to go to the gym. I hope you get a road built into you cabin one day. Keep that positive attitude going and you'll look back on this and laugh. It will be nice to have the videos to refresh your memory.😉
If you can't afford a come-a-long to attach permanently to a tree to help with those heavy loads, then maybe get a cheap boat winch. Lag it right to a tree at the top of your fun zone. Glad to see you remember the coffee, that cheap Mexican stuff is just...not good.
I moved one last year. I had 8' ramps coming off the pickup bed. The big decision was whether to be above it or below it. 'Below' seemed like a good way to really get hurt. A longer sled (weight distribution) and rope would have helped.
Hey Kyle Great to see you again. Just wanted to say you made me laugh a couple times and I admirer your determination. Nothing wrong with a little hard work. Lesson learned, rope and pulleys next time.
More trees down: When a tree is blown down it opens up a channel for wind to take down additional trees in the same spot. Keep that in mind whenever you're tempted to clear a tree across the road while the wind is blowing. I know of a man who was killed when a tree fell on him as he was cutting a "first fall." After the storm quit there were half a dozen trees stacked up on the same spot.
Hey you are should be given full marks for effort thats for sure. Your camera works just fine for your videos, why spend your hard earned money on something that isnt broke, your content is great, always look forward to your videos, it sure was a long 6 months without them. From Western Australia, no snow here folks.
I've watched this one a couple of times and learned from it. If I had a heavy object to hoist uphill, I think I would have to use a rope and wrap it around one of those trees and tried it that way.
Hey Kyle! I finally got caught up on all your videos! Ok some thoughts. Hurrah for coffee! Keep lots of it around. That Folgers Black Silk is pretty good too! Keep that chain saw sharp. I keep a spare chain ready to swap out too so I can keep at it. If the ATV or snowmobile is not in this year’s plans at least rig yourself a shoulder harness with the sled. Everything looks beautiful! It really does. Makes me wish I was back at my camp back in WV. We often call our cabins camps in WV. However, got some rambling and camping to do here in FL in the parks and other areas. Have yourself a time of it! Get that stove going, coffee brewing and cowboy chow ready. Too bad your little shadow is not with you and hope Cierra visits soon too. Rock on buddy!
Man watching you get the stove up the hill was both excruciating and hilarious! Be safe hon, cuz remember you are way in the woods should you injure yourself. Looking forward to seeing that chimney smoking! Thanks for filming. On the trees downed on the same spot looks suspiciously like the work of the giant forest beings, just sayin.
Nice! I put what I think is the same stove in my cabin in Ontario. Regency? You are going to love that upgrade! I found it much easier to regulate heat with it than the old cookstove I had. Uses at least half the wood as well! Great work pushing through to get it in! Adds to the satisfaction of accomplishment!
Superb i would be there every weekend. The trees at the start wood bonus. You should see about getting a digger and making some sort of path for the car right to your door. A block and tackle round a tree woulda hauled that stove up for you
Plenty of time to build a ("Ray's") bear fort around the cabin. A thicket of hundreds and hundreds of hand-sharpened sticks stuck in the ground placed around the cabin. Mr. Bear saunters over cabin way ... >DOINK< ... "Ouch!," says the bear. "I almost got my eye poked out!! Gonna leave that cabin alone." 😀
You are indomitable. Try a portable winch puller to ratchet a sled up a hill next time. You can go up a steep hill easier on a slanted route (longer) rather than dead on. I offered to send you a beautiful handy Bahco 30" bow saw back when, but you didn't reply. You need a CO detector for Christmas.
the multiple trees were due to the 1stt tree failing, trees, especially relatively young, are only rooted in the top layers of forest floor, the roots don't go that deep, and once the first tree weakened the surrounding flor, the trees next to it become unstable.....smartest thing you could do, is find the bases of those trees, look around and if see any oother weakened trees, cut them down to prevent further falls
Hi Kyle. I can’t recall if you mentioned why you don’t have/can’t use a 4-6 wheeler with a snowplow and a trailer. It would save so much time. Perseverance ! I admire you.
Hello Kyle - As you were first loading the stove into the sled, it appeared to me that a small part fell off of or out of the stove. I checked the time on the video and it happened at 5:20. I did not see you go back and pick it up. It fell right between your feet and got pushed into the snow. It was at the right rear of the sled. New to your channel, just subscribed today. Hope you can find the part. Regards, Randy in Arizona
Well young fellow save your back i had a back operation because i spent many years lifting & bingo now my back is deteriorated. I pray you will take some of the good advice I see here. New watcher
Hope you get that chain sharpened soon.also wish you could find an old three pulley to use at that steep uphill, sure would give you some more leverage for heavyweight items.
I gotta say this didn’t seem to suck as bad as the first stove you brought in, you’re an animal. A block and tackle set would be nice for a lot of things out there, sooner or later mind over matter is gonna matter if you know what I mean. Love the camera tripod.
That looked like hard work pulling the stove up the hill. Maybe a pulley would work & make it easier. Other than that great to see u back at the cabin. The metal roof looks great, 😁
Kind of gives one a whole new appreciation for the pioneers who homesteaded the land.
Watching you roll the stove up the hill, I wanted to step in and help! You should be proud of your cabin. It will bring you a great deal of joy. I remember one night I was in my camp sleeping. I admire perseverance and hard work, sadly lacking in so many younger people these days!
Really glad to see you will be on a lot now. As you were unloading and moving that stove, I kept thinking "doesn't he know anyone who can help? Then at the end you mentioned your dad." Enjoyed the video. Thank you for posting it. Brings back memories from when I was young at my cabin.
It’s good to see a young man that is a extremely hard working go getter like yourself! Keep up the good work my friend!
Kyle you are an amazing young man!! Love your positive attitude!
Oh man, you scared the heck outta me when you slide down the hill... you are strong and stay safe my friend...
Wow! It has all been said. I have no advice, just admiration. You will love that stove. Hello from Alberta 😉👍🇨🇦
Hey Kyle, a lot of credit to ya buddy. Good job.
You have a great attitude.
Looking forward to your next video. 👍👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Nice job Kyle. Glad to see you back at it full time. Enjoy that new stove. Looks like a dandy.
I think the quality of your videos given your equipment is fine. Love watching your progress.
Way to power through and accomplish the task at hand. Very admirable. Start looking into ways to work smarter, not harder. Know you’re young now, but your body will thank you as you get older. Best to avoid injuries earlier on.

The moose idea is the best one I’ve heard so far. I’ll try to tame him down. I could use one around here.
Best comment here! Use the moose haha 😂
That whole stove debacle was painful to watch! Lol I wanted to jump through the damn screen and help ya! Hahaha ✌🏻🇨🇦
I remember when i was your age and had the strength you have shown.
Do not take it for granted.
YOU GET YOURSELF A BLOCK N TACKLE TO CONQUER THAT HILL 👍👍❗❗
Cause you know you've got more HEAVY stuff to bring up to the CABIN 👍❗❗
I really enjoy watching your videos you have a great attitude and drive that a lot of younger people don’t have ..
Dude, I’ve the same problem with a hill by my deer stand. Get a snatch block, a long rope, and pull it up the hill by walking down the hill. It works very well.

thanks for the pro tip.. i'll keep that in the back of my mind if i ever own a cabin..
Was torture waiting for a pulley system that nvr came out for that hill. Next time. This will be a fun adventure to follow
I was thinking the same thing to get it up there. Use gravity, don’t fight it.
The dedication for that stove, good on ya!
Great perseverance. Love watching your progress.

Wonderful to see you back in action, Kyle. I hope Skeeter joins you soon. Looking forward to your forthcoming posts 🌟
Bless your heart that was a work out and a half getting that fireplace up that hill I watch all the adds hope it helps your channel 😁
I think I can...I think I can! I knew yah could!!!! Good for you...carry on.
Man you need a comealong for bringing stuff up that hill. My ack hurts just watching you. Of course I'm 75.

I love your initials. I bet they are the same as mine!
Remember your young and bulletproof, love the snow too !
Omgoodness watching you trying to roll the stove up the hill.... you did well I would have given up lol. Watching from Perth Australia
Nice work Kyle, getting that stove up the hill was like getting stuck in a rugby scrum!!
Get a nice Arctic Cat! Not only will it help haul things in, but viewers love too see stuff like that! God bless from Northern MN! Love the videos!
I was just thinking, kinda want to offer him a Pantera 2-up or 500 quad with chains from the neighborhood....that hill is a bugger
Good to see...my next project to get a woodstove to my remote cabin. Just finished closing it in.
Nice to see you again.lots of luck.

Good job Kyle. Glad to see you back at the cabin.
Great video, Kyle! It is always fun to watch you come upon the cabin for the first time each trip and say, "Yeah, it's still there!" :-)
Nice piece of work there Kyle. I think you should open an Etsy store and market those iPhone camera mounts.
I have a come-along that has saved me many times moving heavy things (since I'm not really all that strong). You can usually pick them up for under $50. Good luck with your project!
Great to see you doing well kyle keep up the good work and ill be watching best to you and family and be well and stay safe.cliff from new jersey.
That was very funny. ‘Pretty much sums up this channel right there’ Trying to catch up. Good work
New subscriber from Iowa here. I like your cabin, looks like you really enjoy it and the woods. Have fun, be safe out there, keep making videos.👌😁
Lol, loved the tripod. Bout sums up this channel right there. But for real, a block and tackle.
Nice video. You will save a lot of time and money not having to go to the gym. I hope you get a road built into you cabin one day. Keep that positive attitude going and you'll look back on this and laugh. It will be nice to have the videos to refresh your memory.😉
Morning Kyle been watching for a while love your videos watching from England keep up the good work until next time
Your living the dream.... you sure worked for it. Love your vids.

I bet you slept really well after that hard work! Can't wait to see it up and running for the winter
Hate watching you struggle. Wish you had someone to help you with jobs this hard.
Love the makeshift tripod my friend!
Great video man and loving that cabin but I'm thinking watch your back while your loading that stove into the sled !
Hey Kyle

I like how you do all the weird stuff that rest of us people do. We just don't film it and put it on utube.
Hey you got it in there and i bet your sitting next to a nice warm fire looking foward to seeing more

Good job, way to improvise adapt and overcome.
Glad to see you brought the coffee this time
YOU ARE ONE STRONG YOUNG MAN LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEO I JUST JOIN YOUR CHANNEL
Well done - thanks for sharing - really enjoy this channel.
I sub'd when I saw your home made tripod lol.

It was a handle I think. Or a piece of fire brick. You’ll want to check if something’s missing for sure.
Your authentic and we love it Bro... keep it up 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Well young fellow save your back i had a back operation because i spent many years lifting & bingo now my back is deteriorated. I pray you will take some of the good advice I see here. New watcher
Just found u and subscribed... watching from Jamaica 🇯🇲
That’s awesome! Welcome
Where's Skeeter? 🐶 I'm so sore from helping you push your stove up the hill!! Haha 😄 Looking forward to the ride this winter! Stay warm!☕🔥
I was clapping for you when you made it to the top of the hill.
I'm glad to know that you could use a 4 Wheeler. That's definitely the way I would have done it but I am a lot older than you are.
Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
This is exhausting to watch. Good luck.
love your videos man. I check once a week to see if you uploaded!
Just started watching your videos
That's a nice stove! I like the window on 'er.
Great way to end up with a hernia. Once you get one of those your brute strength is forever gone. Be safe and use a come along.
Stay safe.
Suffering madness! Good can do attitude
That looked like hard work pulling the stove up the hill. Maybe a pulley would work & make it easier. Other than that great to see u back at the cabin. The metal roof looks great, 😁
Kyle You are a rockstar
