It’s great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Of course, I'm pleased with the outcome and this Ryan’s ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans was extremely useful to me as a guide.
Hug skeeter close man, i just lost my dog who i had for so long it's hard to remember what life was like without him. Skeeter really completes your family
Sorry to hear about your loss buddy. I don’t take a second with Skeeter for granted. Time goes by fast and it’s too bad dogs only live a short time. They deserve more.
My beloved Grizzly Bear passed away peacefully and comfortably in my arms on November 18th after 14 Long happy years. . I feel your pain brother I am very sorry for your loss . We will always love and miss our fur babies with all our hearts. 🙏💐🌄
You are a special young man, please don't let the world change you,the way you meet your goals& take care of your lady, dog shows one goodman,I've been around fireplaces all my life & that one is very nice
I don't comment much but I had to just let you know I think you are a stand up young man and your father must be a very proud man.Keep the vids coming please
I love the way you treat your chickens Kyle it’s really nice that you’ve taken them in the winter time when it’s that cold Have a nice day all three of you hugs
It’s always a joy to watch your content! In such a negative & crazy world, it’s awesome to get away from it , watch your projects & listen to a young guy who has a positive attitude in everything.
Just a thought, but, if the wood shed was closer to the house you could make an insulated hatch on the outside of the house and an enclosed bench on the inside that you could fill with wood directly from the wood shed. This would give you an extra seating space, or even a reading nook with a few days supply of wood underneath the top of it.
Enjoy watching all your videos. For many years I enjoyed the area 25 miles north of Orr in a cabin 10 X 24 5 miles out in the woods. So many memories of that paradise. I enjoy your enthusiasm for what you are doing.
That is a very nice touch for storage of your fire wood inside. Looks great and will look even better after Cierra gets done with it. As for your boo boo, if that's the worst it gets, you're doing good. Thanks for another great video.
The hubs and I really enjoy yours and Cierra's channel. It is actually super relaxing! Living vicariously through yall! What a blessing to be away from the rest of the world and enjoy God's creation! Skeeter is adorable, too. You are very talented and have definitely found your niche! Keep em coming!
You have for yourself a very good burn.....a great way to relieve some of the itch, pain and discomfort is to take 1 to 2 egg whites, froth them up a little and apply directly to the burn and let it dry...works wonders! I love your videos....keep them coming!
Nasty burn but coulda been worse! Friend of mine stoked the wood burner in the middle of the night..... naked... burnt the tip... ya.... neck aint so bad dude!😂😂😂
Great video Love shelf for your wood and kindling Your girls are looking good and still laying eggs in the cold Skeeter and Cierra are looking nice and staying warm Take care Kyle See you all in next video
Nice cabinet to store your wood you really did a gread job building it. Always glad when you bring your chickens out of the cold. I just love watching the channel you're such a real and positive person. All three of you take care.
And maybe on decent days you could still haul in a load and save the stuff in your bin you made, for really bad snowy stormy days🤔🤔. Thanks for sharing your awesome videos Kyle. 🍻🥂 here’s a couple of beers and a couple of glasses of wine for you and your wonderful wife !! 😜🙂🙃
Looks like the burn hurt “ouch”. Your girls left you a gift for taking such good care of them. Skeeter say “ come on just play with me it’s not that cold” . Ohh yum , great tasting scramble. Take care Be safe. 👍👍😊
I'm glad you can tolerate the cold cuz that's really cold! Nice storage for the wood. You're right, 60 more days and things will get warmer! Stay safe, warm, and look forward to more.
Sorry about your burn, once it is scabbed over if you use Comfrey salve on it, it will keep the scarring down. You are so talented; my husband is like you can think of something and then build it and nobody would know he just sort of threw it together. Love that you brought your hens inside, they have a great home. We are in MT and had -42F windchills with ambient air of -34F and we were always so glad to come back into a warm house.
Thank you so much for the video. And for a clean video as in not swearing because this means I can show this to my students. Being in Australia they are so mesmerized by the snow! Thank you !
I live in Alaska and we were at -38 degrees fahrenheit last week too. You guys really should save up for a catalytic wood burning stove. It'll save so much time and wood. We fill the stove before we go to bed and then get up around 4 am to refill it until mid-morning. When the temperatures warm up to around -10, we don't even get up during the night. We love our stove. It's called the Blaze King Princess. We live in a 550 square foot cabin and we stay toasty warm. We do have a fan now that we have electricity on our property and that helps keep our lower cabinets from freezing our food stash.
I just knew those chickens would have been having another warm holiday lol . That wood bin looks beautiful all full and inviting . Skeeter makes me chuckle just sat out in the cold ignoring the calls to come in , I think he must be related to my Moo Moo , who has the habit of doing that when we are having a downpour of rain the lunatic. Hope the burn heals quickly for yiu it looks sore , and lovely to see Cierra back x
We are retired military. My boys FAVORITE tour was when we were stationed @ Ft. Wainwright in Fairbanks!! Alot of great memories and experiences that they wouldn't of had in the lower 48!!
Kyle, I love the lifestyle you live, your humbleness, and your knowledge. Don't worry about what we think about your voice or the war marks on your neck. you're a good person and we love your videos. I always learn something from you. Keep on living the dream brother!
Skeeter is such a goof lol.... he really helps make this channel with his antics lol. Huge thanks for another video and a happy new year to you and partner
Dam that must of hurt. I would have not put the skinny shelf, I would of left it open, so you could pile more of the thin wood higher, so you don't need to fill everyday.
Having the ability to store firewood neatly near the woodstove is essential. Cleaning up after it is a never ending chore. Want to "refresh" your broom and make sweeping easier? Cut off those stray bristles. It'll work like new and you'll stop flicking stuff around the floor as you sweep.
Throughly enjoy your videos. Skeeter is obviously the star of the show!! 🤠 Here in Ontario canada we are going though a cold snap as well ...last night as -37c. My husband and I live a 512sqft off grid home in woods. Our wood stove is working hard!
Kyle, I love the videos! Skeeter is awesome and I enjoy watching him visiting the chickens 🐔. Great to see the wonderful care that you provide for them. I only have one problem with your videos. You should make more of them haha 😆. You keep us waiting too long. 100k subscribers coming soon. Congrats 🎊!!
Been burning wood for most of my life and just in the last couple years i put in a pellet stove. Hasn’t been a winter that I haven’t given myself a burn or two. I have always kept a aloe vera plant just for that reason. Definitely helps with the healing
Oh, I understand the cold snap you're experiencing! I'm also in northern Minnesota. Been fighting damn ice dams on our house. Whoever built this house didn't insulate it right. We stay warm, but so does the roof! You're having the mustache frost just like me. Your firewood stacker is a neat touch. Instead of a fireplace under the mantle, you have your firewood supply! Skeeter does the same thing my dog does, has to be right there with me but doesn't help at all! LoL! Thanks for sharing your experience and story with us! You're doing a great job with your homestead! Well planned out and prepared for the winter! Nice to see you cooking with the cast iron skillet. Good healthy meal for you guys! Great job!
30°c here in Australia but I'm enjoying your cold weather videos- trying to convince myself I'm not so hot! Your chickens show you how much they love you as they continue to lay eggs for you. Those are well loved chickens.
Hello Sir Kyle, stay warm when u can, don't wear yrself out mate. Enjoy and take it all in. As u do. 🤙💙 Also for Scooters coat and start ur mulching pile of waste, throw egg shells in there and his food. If not ok too.
I said before your doing fine for a young guy and a nice wee build plus it looks good neat and tidy and I liked the bit you had the chicken’s in the cabin big thumbs up ok stay safe peace and love from Scotland 🏴 and a happy New Year 👍🥃
Hey Kyle I whine when it's been getting down to -18f at night and -3 during the day, but you know, I think secretly loving the survival challenge. Spring will come soon enough.
Kyle, you are Amazing! You build, chop wood, sort the heating out, forage, collect water, move the chickens, build fires and cook! What does Ciarra do?! Just saying
Always like seeing your vids pop up on here. Watch your burn for infection. The rack project turned out great. Plus gets you game system off the floor. Y’all have a great week too! 😀
That's some cold stuff buddy. Stay warm and stay safe. So beautiful where you are but we all know beautiful looking can sometimes mean harsh reality. Just gotta be smart like Kyle here and be prepared. Thanks again Kyle for always putting out such cool content. I really enjoy seeing what you guys are up too. May your New Year be blessed. 🙂
Coming from upstate New York, then moving to Texas 45 years ago, winters in Central Texas was only about 3 months, but still not enjoyable! Glad that we finally moved to a tropical location, in early 2020, and NEVER have to deal with cold temps! I feel for you both! Thanks for posting your life challenges and endeavors!
Kyle that’s the best hickey story I ever heard! 😂😂. Seriously, have an idea for you for the chickens. What about a couple of low wattage heat lamps powered by a solar panel next to the chicken coop. Even regular low wattage light bulbs. Maybe use a Marine battery. There’s a solution there somewhere.
Jealous, keep livin the dream my friends! Love watching you guys!!!!!!
Same here.....:)

Thanks for making the extra effort for the little ladies. I'm certain they appreciate it.
True dog lover when you dig out to recover his toy
It's nice to see someone esle offgrid on RUclips. We are offgrid in Tennessee for 10 years still learning everyday

Skeeter is so damn cute, I love how he prances around. Kyle you're a good cook, among all your other accolades.

It’s amazing that the chickens can handle those cold temps.

Live and learn, you nailed this concept at a young age!
Love how you both utilize your strengths doing the different things in the cabin! Boy. the wood looks so nice on the new shelves you built!!
Dam that must of hurt. I would have not put the skinny shelf, I would of left it open, so you could pile more of the thin wood higher, so you don't need to fill everyday.
