Charles felt a disturbance in the force; as if millions of mutants suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
I'm trying to decide if that scene means that his awareness of the event is simultaneous with last episode or if he is simply going back to the Astral Plan for the first time since leaving Earth and finding out due to the echoes across the aether.
@@hunterpdx7061 Since Storm's story happened concurrently with the attack, and they were moving between Charles & Storm which insinuates those stories happened concurrently, I believe Charles felt it either as it happened or very shortly after.

Storms moment was incredible. The Adversary is an excellent character. The music, animation 👌🏾 Storm's 70s outfit was just a great touch.
Its not just Sinister, he said OUR prologue... which I strongly believe hints to someone else working with him or he working for that someone...

Poor Ronan, he’s such a badass in the comics, but he just straight up stays getting washed every time he shows up onscreen in any medium
Ronan occupies the unfortunate category of characters that are incredibly powerful, but also jobbers.
Even in comics he's generally either used as an antagonist, or someone who gets defeated to showcase the strength of another character that's actually important to the story

Since they keep teasing us with the Phoenix in the intros, I feel like it was the Phoenix force that gave the psychic visions to Xavier, Jean, and Madelyne

The Storm stuff in this episode is amazing
I love that they brought back the 1970s goddess suit from when she first joined the X-Men. I love that suit so much. Storm always looked better in black anyway. The "say the quiet part out loud" did take me out of the episode because this is supposed to be 1997. That's too modern a phrase. Also, someone pointed out that Charles is exponentially more connected to Magneto than to Gambit so if Charles didn't see Magneto, it means that Magneto is likely still alive.
"Saying the quiet part loud" has its roots from an episode of the Simpsons from 1995.

Charles never actually married Lilandra, in here and in the comics he goes home to respond to a crisis, and Lilandra goes on the run with the Starjammers as Deathbird takes over.
I believe both Gambit and Magneto were missing in the intro.

Just starting the vid….I’m sure once you get into the ep you’ll realize, but just in case: Ep 4 (2 weeks ago) was half Jubilee (Motendo) and then the last half with Storm was Lifedeath Part 1

You absolutely should go back and inspect the intros. They have meaning. I think they've changed the intro with each episode so far. Though the two teams clashing at the end doesn't change. But yes, they removed both Magneto and Gambit's little introduction spots in this episode and it hurt me.

Charles leaves Earth in the last 70s, just before The Fall of the Mutants storyline, and doesn't come back until the mid-90s. Erik was in charge of the school, while the X-Men lived in Australia, and everyone thought they were dead. The original 5 started X-Force, pretending to be Mutant hunters, but saving young Mutants from the government. They'd a lot more, but you get what happened.
When Charles said "But they were dancing, drinking wine, making love..." was really sad...
I was totally nervous to watch this episode too! Ep 5 was one of the best episodes of anything I have ever seen, and I was not truly ready to watch this one.

Than you missed 9 of the best Episodes of the 90s series: "The Phoenix Saga" (5 Parts) and "The Dark Phoenix Saga" (4 Parts) in both stories, the X-Men must face the Shi'ar Empire. All 9 Episodes are within the 3rd season.

The season is going to end in soul crushing despair. Episodes 8-10 are supposed to be intensely grim.
Well, he didn’t marry her; he was meant to marry her but didn’t go through with purging his mind. The very last episode of the original 90s animated series, Charles was near death, but with the help of Magneto and his signal boost with his powers helped Jean, well I guess Madelyn, send an extra long distance call to Lillandra to help save him with, clearly, her and her people’s medical tech saved him. Sadly, he was removed for over a year from his X-Men. If anything, rewatch the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix sagas if you need to refresh you memory, as well as the final episode of the original run.

It definitely seems like storm finally tapped more into her magic side and thats why she could make the outfit and im curious if that means the anti power weapon wont work on her anymore if she can just reactivate her mutant powers via tapping into her magic
Unlikely. The device DID work when Forge used it. She just didn't believe it had. It was psychosomatic.
I loved the Storm conclusion but it’s a shame her story has to fight for time in both eps focused on it this season as it felt like rushing between plot beats even if most of the beats were good.
I also never liked the Shi’ar as a group in the original show so it didn’t help that they were stealing the Storm screen-time. Tho I wish Xavier had actually pushed back at the accusations of wanting Earth to control the Shi’ar cos he wouldn’t want humanity involved in all that nonsense and random chaos, like yeah he said she was “twisting [your] words” so you should untwist them silly professor lol
(Little nitpick: I didn't like Storm traumatising the poor horses. That was uncalled for )

yeah, magneto's not dead. He has the power to teleport /create wormholes. And save others at the same time, so yeah, it's rarely used but he has that power
Since when does he have that power? I knew the X-Men Comics pretty well, and read most from the 60s until 2012 or 2014 and I read House of X and about 10 Comics of each Series after that, but I have never seen him teleport or use a wormhole to do that.
My theory, how he could have survived: He used is magnetic power to create a barrier around him (like he did with Rogue and Gambit) and let Leech took his power, so that the Wild Sentinel couldn't detected anymore.
@@jaynecobb8356 I'm really curious about that. I don't think a barrier like the one he put around Rogue and Gambit would withstand a direct hit from that green beam. Some people say Magneto took them underground and then he had Leech hide his powers so the sentinel wouldn't detect him anymore
@@mrshade810 Than it's a newer Power from Magneto (or some kind late second Mutation). I've read at least 1000 up to 1500 X-Men Comics so far and I've never seen, that Magneto use some powers like that.
@@mrshade810It's nothing that complicated. After the explosion went off, Leech likely deactivated his mutant signature. No mutant signature means the sentinel couldn't detect him.
