5:29 Is it necessary to reapply thermal paste there when it is opened? :( help me please ty
I would advise you do reapply the thermal paste since air could get trapped between the thermal paste and cause heating problems
i believe it's not per se terrible.
it's also not necessary either but i'd recommend always reapplying if you can.
The reason being is because you'll have less thermal efficiency since i believe air can get trapped inside and the cooling efficiency will degrade over time.
so if you have to not clean off the thermal paste, i think you're fine but you should consider reapplying in the near future
Just got this laptop, so far so good.. Mine also has the same ssd (micron gen4 512gb) but there is no thermal pads or any way of heatsinking the ssd - the metal chip on the ssd gets hot even on idle. I am weary about this issue for now!
how hot? ssd are made to run ""moderately"" hot, 60C up to 70C under load is good.
@111Xumi111 80C while running benchmarks on cdm! I have added an aluminium 1/8" thick above the thermal pad to absorb the initial thermal uptake but it just adds more mass to the chip and there is no active heat dissipation!
I am not sure if this much was enough so far temps dropped by 15C already
Hi so I have the exact same laptop and apparently it only has 1 RAM stick of 8gb ddr4 3200mhz, and i want to upgrade it to 32gb (2* 16gb)

Sir, has it got the 2nd ssd slot? Just anove the first one? It looks a bit different though.
My doubt- will i able to expand victus 15 fa0666tx (just colour difference from fa0555tx). It has just 512 gb default storage and people on internet say it has no 2nd slot but in this tear down video it is there but i think without holding pin?

Hi. Space for a second ssd (NVME) is there, the problem is that some boards (as in the video) do not have a slot soldered in

The slot name is: m.2 NVME, the same one that you already have. But not suche if that work… it should, but I’m not sure

Last yr they kept an extra sdds lot for expansion of storage but on newer versions of the same lap they removed the extra ssd slot..bad move though..
I don't see the bluetooth card. Mine is having issues, so I wanna know where is it located ?
BT is in the wifi card, they are a combo

pasta, el metal liquido se lo ponen al high end no más y suelen venir con barreras para que accidentalmente no haga corto si es que se sale
