I have a mid 2012 15 in Macbook Pro. There seems to be a piece broken on the logic board connector where the keyboard ribbon connects. I think it was broken from a previous speaker replacement job I did, but the keyboard was still working since. Last night I replaced the other speaker and now the keyboard isn't working, only the trackpad. I'm not sure if the cable is all the way in the logic board connector. If the logic board piece is broken, do I need to get another logic board? I don't have the tools to try and replace just the logic board connector, and it looks like a pretty intense job to remove it and connect a new piece. Anything else to try? Thx!

Note the idiotic routing of the PSU cabling - effectively right in the way of any add-in cards (did the fans actually still spin after fitting the GPU ?) . 473a/673a are much worse because of them being smaller. But the factory cabling could just be routed differently (I know - because I've done it) - the factory layout is just lazy on the part of Qnap.

Where does the camera cable connect to the motherboard? My camera failed all of a sudden and talks with Windows and Lenovo customer care indicate I might have a harware issue.

I was just lecturing my nephew about his broken hinge on his laptop recently, about always opening it at the center of the lid. He broke his left side one once before and i epoxy glued it back. It failed again, but surprisingly the previous work held and it was the other side. And then... Today it happened on my personal device lol. damn it.

Hi, great video my friend, I have that model of laptop and the display doesn't work, at first it had flickering and adjusting it to 60hz fixed it, but it doesn't work anymore, I would like to know how to fix it, I don't know if it's software, the GPU or the screen

I rarely saw a compound based fix for a broken hinge to work as long term solution. If you want to be sure the fix will hold strong, and don't mind the cosmetic look, best to drill 2mm holes throught the top or botom panel and secure it with M2 nuts and screws. For this laptop, I drilled 6 holes through the top aluminium panel. At least I know the hinge will last a long time.

Can we add another nvme ssd , with inbuilt ssd?

hi there, the motherboard on my matebook d14 is dead. do you know if i can change the motherboard from bob wah9 with Bob wah9q. i cant find what's the difference in that one letter q at the end.

My laptop freezes when i pick it up , And something rattles when i shake it even gently, I huess the rattle is due to the CMos like thing between battery and free ram slot in the video, But i am afraid if the freezing is due ti damage in currently used ran slot, Or also could be a problem with one and only storage slot😭

Just got this laptop, so far so good.. Mine also has the same ssd (micron gen4 512gb) but there is no thermal pads or any way of heatsinking the ssd - the metal chip on the ssd gets hot even on idle. I am weary about this issue for now!
