is it illegal to have this mod??? need answers
Some states it is illegal. Check with your local state laws, however I could say that if you are keeping your stock muffler and resonator, chances of you getting cited for a modified exhaust are very slim. You go adding a blow off valve and aggressive sounding exhaust you will only draw attention to yourself. Again, do your research do not depend on anything you read or are told by someone behind a keyboard, as they are not going to defend you in court.
yes but its not like youll get pulled over immediately,, mainly have to worry about emiisions/inspections.

I loved the step by step video. Also I was always hesitant to do this change because I don't want to have a loud car or being stopped for having a loud car. I want the performance and not loud noise. The sellers should advertise it that way " performance and no loud noise"

A great video and very informational. I will be installing this on my 2015 Passat TSI in a week or so. My car currently have CTS CAI, and Burger Motorsports 93 stage 2 tune. Can't wait to have an unrestricted downpipe system installed. She will absolutely rip. Again, great video man! Thumbs up! :)

@@mxdaddy I have an Rline beetle. Your video directed me to a well quality DP that I can add on stock tune until I go stage 2. That way, I’ll already have DP. And also gave insight on what I might run into while doing install myself. Thanks !

Hey man quick question, so I have apr stage 1 on my car and it’s the same car, so I’ve had the dp for about a month now, and I got a cel once I got it but I put a cel eliminator and it took it off for a good month but recently the light came back on and ever since I got the dp my airflow doesn’t seem normal, I know I need a tune for it but in my state stage 2 isn’t available, has your cel popped up or how is yours holding up? Also any ideas of what I could do? Thanks and I love the car!

Do you know how different would the fitting be for a 2019 passat 2.0T? I can’t find downpipes designed for my car so it looks like I’ll need to get a previous version and maybe have my shop fabricate some parts
What is the diameter of the right angle spacer, cause I’m looking to also trick my Passat 2.0 when I do my down pipe

very thorough video friend. as far as the underside of the vehicle, can this install be achieved on a 2017 jetta tsi? or would the exhaust piping itself be routed differently? Thanks
I would contact CTS for a complete guide on the vehicles this pipe fits.
I have already done the full clod air intake. The next step is the the down pipe and catalyst converter. I am trying to increase my take off acceleration.
Look into a JB4 tuner from Burger Motorsports. All plug and play and is a great addition. I would say the best addition I have done. I will be adding an install video soon.

Hey man where did you get the right angle spacer?
Just a heads up. The O2 spacer helps but it almost never eliminates the risk of getting a CEL. Just installed mine 4 days ago. Same exact setup, and after about 200 so miles the CEL came on. No worries, it won’t damage the engine just need to get a stage 1 or 2 tune. Clear the CEL for good

When you where assembling the pipes how many inches did you let it over lap?
There is probably two inches. I would fit the pipes as best you can, drive the vehicle and recheck your work. I have another video showing the pipes came apart after driving. Check it out, there is some extra helpful information.

Did you have to use premium gas after the install of the 3” down pipe catted?. And did you ended up tuning
From what I understand 91 octane should be used if you are using the downpipe. I have added a JB4 tuner from Burger Motorsports and it requires 91+ octane.

The JB4 is a self tuner but not mapped directly to the ECM. It is a plug and play device and works pretty awesome. I have not done a video on the install yet but it is very easy and took less than an hour. I have a warranty on the car that I do not want to lose.

No, only a stage 2 tune will do that. I believe there is an O2 delete that gets rid of the CEL. I have just learned to live with it. I do a diagnostic check from time to time, just to make sure there is nothing else triggering the CEL. I can handle the pesky light to keep my warranty.

Yes, no modifications from the back of this downpipe

I am not...Holding on to that baby. Seems to be like gold since all the druggys are stealing them

I did not flash tune my car. I installed a JB4 tuner from Burger Motorsports. I will be doing a video on the install soon.
