Lorne Padman is the Vice President of Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records, Los Angeles. Spanning across two decades, Lorne has extensive experience in the nuanced landscape of the electronic music industry, working internationally as a Record Label Creative/Executive, A&R, DJ, Producer, Songwriter, Artist Manager, Radio Programmer, Top40 Radio-Host, Radio & TV Promoter, Event Promoter, Music Consultant, and philanthropist.

I didn't skip or fast-forward any sentence during the entire speech. He is down-to-earth yet incredibly inspiring and intelligent. Listening to her address is like talking to a wise friend. Congrats, Lorne, and music graduates all over the world.
He's talking about managing expectations when he talks about timelines - so much better to tell someone hey i'll get it in at X date, later than when you think you can actually get it done. Set expectations low, get high results!

When he said it's not what you know, it's who you know is so valid. Most of the people in industry end up burning out but this guy is giving some amazing free sauce on how to MAKE IT!
