I'm curious, what's your highest selling day ever? Last year the attendance for Vancoufur was 1,528, meanwhile several anime and comic conventions are in the 10,000+ attendance ranges. Do you think furries spend more money/support their artists more?
@@nikkikah2356 my highest selling day is around $4000 at another relatively small, niche event! based on my limited data, I would say the furry community really showed up to support artists. this is a testament to the value of finding your niche events, vs blending in at more generic, larger anime/fan events. though, I think for people selling fanart, it's easier to reach higher sales numbers at those kinds of events. and that the niche communities really support original art! of course, it's a fascinatingly complicated data set - each event and each city is different in what types of items are popular, both merch type and subject matter. maybe I will do a podcast sometime really going over my observations! thanks for the idea!!

I went back to the con today to look at the dealer's den since I'd only visited Artist Alley on Friday. I expected it to be in another corridor type of room, but it was in a huge conference room upstairs with a ton more artists selling multiple products! I was surprised because I thought the Dealer's Den would have been smaller for some reason. If you're back next year, definitely check it out! Also your fursona is ADORABLE! 🦇🐈⬛🤍
I'm so surprised you hadn't vended at a furcon before since your stuff totally fits the furry vibe (and yup, a lot of folks at furry cons are super nice, it's one of the reasons I've enjoyed the fandom for as long as I have), and loving your bat fursona at the end!

I always re-fill my cash box post con and keep it in my stuff so I don’t forget, it dose men you have cash just hanging out but for some one like me it’s worth it. I also put a really colourful matching ribbon on all the containers so at a glance I know if there’s something left behind

furry like a great deal of stuff cute and or creepy or colorful or unusual if it somewhat animals themed it might sell better but many things go, art of furry shows always would go over well
I love the diversity of shows you go to. It helps me a lot as I’m just starting out, I’ve too thought about applying to furry cons as even though I’m not a furry, I make a lot of animal art and I’ve found that the shows are much more realistic in terms of alley hours and table pricing.

Aside from a higher level of friendliness, the only difference I could note, if I am honest, is the percentage of customer conversion! Way higher at the furry con - less people browsing and walking away, more people purchasing! Woohoo! 😂
that's so awesome!! i've been watching your videos for a little while and they've really inspired me to actually start up my own business that i've only ever thought about! i'm so inspired by your ability to talk to people so well i know it sounds weird haha but i totally struggle with that and you really encourage me to try :) i love the furry community and the conventions are so intimate and welcoming and fun! hopefully one of these days you're at a con near me and i'll be able to see you! maybe i'll even vend!
