There’s an app called Tubi where all of the Trancers movies are on there as well as other movies that GBF made videos about. I’m so glad I discovered this channel and these hidden gems.
I'd like to join others in congratulating you on 100k subs. I remember when you had only around 30k. When I first started watching a lot of RUclips, You were actually the first channel I subscribed to because I thought you deserved it so much. I'm confident you will keep growing and growing. Thanks for the years of content.
So glad you did this movie. More people need to be informed of this great series that, surprisingly, hasn't been remade yet. And Tim Thomerson is the man. He should have shot to B movie stardom just like Bruce Campbell. Let's start a petition to have Ash meet Jack Deth.
It's always weird seeing a hot chick who's now old enough to be your grandma. I mean, to be fair I felt the same about sigourney weaver in Alien. And signourney weaver in Avatar. And signourney weaver now.
She's still pretty good; better looking than any half-dozen real-housewives-of-who-gives-a-damn anyway. You should check her out in The Waterdance and As Good As It Gets.
I loved Trancers, or 2, cant recall. Stumbled across these in a video store back in the day. Tim Thomerson was a totally underrated lead man, made these movies.
I have never seen this but I adore Tim Thomerson, anything he is in is always worth a watch so I shall be checking this out. Thanks for the wonderful review.
A cult classic! We rented this on VHS back in around 84/85-ish and I loved it. I remember it also being on a show called 'Videodrome' one night, where Alex Cox introduced the movie before it was shown. I recorded it then and watched it a few times. I have a proper copy on VHS too. The stilted acting, boom mic's in shot and terrible stunt doubles all add to the charm of this film. Your overview of Trancers is great.
5:44 "You're the killers! Your whole sick society, thats who's guilty man! Were just your lousy escape goat." Half of the fun of these videos is just wondering when the next O&A reference pops up.
Love the film! I saw it in, I believe, January or February of 1986 a few months before I turned 12. I’d waffled on renting it for a handful of months. I was already a huge Blade Runner fan and already a fan of b-movies. I’ll never, ever forget that this same night, I bought the very last original Star Wars figure I ever bought: a Power of the Force Death Star Gunner. I was messing around with it while I watched Trancers. Heheh. Years passed and then I rapidly became aware of Band’s other work plus the then new Full Moon stuff. I was a huge fan right away, of course! 😁
Been enjoying your work and already subscribed. From now on I am clicking thumbs up Before i even watch the video on the Basis of The View reference alone. Well done.
I watched this movie couple of years ago because i wanted to listen to Projection Booth Podcast episode of Trancers. I had blast watchig it for the first time, nice blend of action, comedy, & sci-fi.
One of my favorites! The whole series is good even though in different films of the series they kept changing what A Trancer was. I was lucky enough to see Trancers at my neighborhood theatre when it was released.
I remember first seeing this movie as part of a bbc 2 videodrome evening. As a preteen at the time it made me both hide with fear and chuckle with laughter. the over the top acting is top drawer hilarious and the effects wonderfully low budget. I'm glad you put this on... It's long overdue for some good bad flicks treatment. 😀
I LOVE that episode of Quincy- my ex-gf and I from the mid-1990s had it on a VHS (we taped it off the TV). Episode is called “Next Stop Nowhere”, and the band “Fear” is in it- awesome mention!
So it was called Future Cop during a re-release? I've always been confused about that, because I saw the movie on the big-screen as Future Cop, and got confused later on when it turned up on cable under the title of Trancers. Where did I see it first? In a movie theater in Wilmington, DE, Concord Pike to be exact, the cinema is gone now, but I can't even count how many movies I saw there through out the 80s, and even into the 90s.
Remember on the old versions where you can clearly see the camera for about 5 seconds? Sadly it's gone on the new DVD. Any chance for an episode on ZONE TROOPERS?
Made by a company called Modern Props. The prop is described as, "dual generators with rotating neon lights inside an acrylic tube; light-controlled panel with knobs and buttons."
That fricken red laser prop is in everything Star Trek, Last Starfighter, Hulk, The Flash Movie, and basically if it's scifi-y from the 70's and 80's that thing is in there. Trancers has the glowy laser thingy stamp of approval.
Oh and Congrats!! This channel is a pleasant escape from the cynical (jaded?) negativity that some reviewers get stuck in. You cover what you enjoy, it shows and is appreciated. Also have you seen Cast A Deadly Spell, the movie that kinda inspired the Dresden Files books? It's a pretty goofy made for TV movie starring Remo Williams himself.
I swear, you have a knack for reviewing every movie I've ever liked, that was filmed in the 80's and 90's. Have you ever seen Enemy Mine? If so, do you have any plans on reviewing it in the future, when we will all will have bad plumbing? It just has GBF written all over it and is ripe for review. Oh, and congratulations on reaching 100k subs!
Love this movie...my dad had it on VHS and i watched it many times ( along with another Tim Thomerson / Atr LaFleur film called Zone Troopers)...I didn't know that they made up to part 6 I'll have to see if i can find them...anyway Right On man I love your channel keep up the good work.
like 90% sure the car Jack Deth walks in front of at 0:41 is an actual car from blade runner. Just look at the windows and front bumper, they look really similar to one of the background venhicles from blade runner.
Congratulations on hitting 100K! I'm so happy for you. You definitely deserve it. Will you be doing a Q&A at some point? Overall, fantastic work as always.
Never heard of this movie. That's the beauty of your channel. Now i'm going to search for it. Oh, by the way, the outro music sounds awesome, it remind me of Painkiller's soundtrack (videogame)
GoodBadFlicks Okay cool man. Im a huge Metal fan and they sound like they have a cool style. I will check em out. Thanks again man, have an awesome day :)
When he used the time watch, that scene was so perfectly done. I love this movie:)
"Dry hair is for squids"...best line in a movie...ever!
Your observations are the best, both the UPS truck and toy car gags had me laughing. Great video as always.
:)
bakedspade :)
"...at the corner of Blade Runner and Rollerball."
It's the quiet quips you slip in that I really enjoy xD Keep up the great work!
:)
Then there's the "self cleaning trancer" MST3K reference. It's not who will get this, somebody will get his.
I like how there's no mention of Trancers in Helen Hunt's wiki page.
under career life look again...
The Maynard line floored me!!!!,
hats of to you sir!
:)
There’s an app called Tubi where all of the Trancers movies are on there as well as other movies that GBF made videos about. I’m so glad I discovered this channel and these hidden gems.
Tubi meu saco, vi nada disso não
2:05: LOL! When I first heard the concept behind Assassin's Creed, my first thought was Trancers!
same here.
" I guess Maynard got his wish" , nice
Yes! I was about to comment that! That felt like a neatly wrapped gift for those who got it!
@@cooperofnavarone8616 tool
Helen Hunt! Ah man, mad my day! She deserved to make much more movies...
I'd like to join others in congratulating you on 100k subs. I remember when you had only around 30k. When I first started watching a lot of RUclips, You were actually the first channel I subscribed to because I thought you deserved it so much. I'm confident you will keep growing and growing. Thanks for the years of content.
Just remember "Dry hair is for squids."
Yes!!!!! The best line in the whole movie!!!
The refreshing scent of pine. Props on the MST3K reference.
Good catch! :)
I'm good like that
Million-dollar idea; thousand-dollar budget. I love this movie so hard. God bless you, Charles Band.
In addition to everything else, this film basically single-handedly gave birth to synthwave.
2:05, its also the plotline of X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE'S PAST.
"....Maynard got his wish" ? Cecil, you keep knocking them out of the park - much love from a sincere tOOL disciple 👍
:)
So glad you did this movie. More people need to be informed of this great series that, surprisingly, hasn't been remade yet. And Tim Thomerson is the man. He should have shot to B movie stardom just like Bruce Campbell. Let's start a petition to have Ash meet Jack Deth.
Damn, Helen Hunt was hot back then.
Right! I mean, wow!
I rolled my eyes at this comment until I saw her in the video lol. Now I'm back to admit my mistake. Damn is correct.
I dunnow i find her more of... cute for some reason? Eh.. i dunnow Jodie Foster still looks great for her age
That Tool reference shows why I love this channel so much. Awesome!
Where else could you hear an "AEnima" reference? Only on GoodBadFlicks, thanks Cecil, you made my day.
Just came to comments to see if anyone else got psyched at the Maynard comment!!! Awesome. Thanks GB FLicks
I'm very happy you talked about this film. It's so 80's but that's the whole charm of it and I wished Hollywood used Tim Thomerson to better effect
Your intro never gets old. I’m always pumped when I hear it. 🤘
Between this movie and escape from la, Maynard got his wish. "learn to swim"
F'n love Trancers! One of the best B movies ever. Not spectacular, but good plot, good characters, and they CARED about what movie they were making.
I loved Trancers, or 2, cant recall. Stumbled across these in a video store back in the day. Tim Thomerson was a totally underrated lead man, made these movies.
Loved this when I was a kid, and had completely forgotten about it until I saw this video. Thanks!
Love Trancers. Tim Thonerson is the man
I have never seen this but I adore Tim Thomerson, anything he is in is always worth a watch so I shall be checking this out. Thanks for the wonderful review.

11:44 that orange/red energy tube prop in the background has been used in many Sci-Fi shows and movies; from Star Trek to V and The Last Starfighter.
Me and my sister would watch trancers over and over again. 1 and 2.
100,000 subs! Well done mate. Extremely well deserved. Here's to the next 100,000.
the trancers opening and ending themes are perfect.
Love the film! I saw it in, I believe, January or February of 1986 a few months before I turned 12. I’d waffled on renting it for a handful of months. That Maynard joke...why I watch this channel.
Yet another fantastic video!! I especially enjoyed the use of Ray Stevens' "I'm My Own Grandpa" song. That was very hilarious! :)
“I guess Maynard got his wish.” 😂 I got that reference! Learn to swim...
100k for the best youtuber! Well deserved Cecil
1 congrats on the 100k subs.
2 I literally thought I was the only person who liked this movie.
Been enjoying your work and already subscribed. From now on I am clicking thumbs up Before i even watch the video on the Basis of The View reference alone. Well done.
Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying them :)
I watched this movie couple of years ago because i wanted to listen to Projection Booth Podcast episode of Trancers.
I had blast watchig it for the first time, nice blend of action, comedy, & sci-fi.
I really want to do a serious look at Trancers some day
One of my favorites! The whole series is good even though in different films of the series they kept changing what A Trancer was. I was lucky enough to see Trancers at my neighborhood theatre when it was released.
I remember first seeing this movie as part of a bbc 2 videodrome evening. One of my favorite series, Jacks back, and he's never even been here before
This series is a personal favorite of mine after the El Rey channel had a marathon of the whole series.
How are the sequels? I grabbed the boxset from 7-11 a while back. Gotta find it and start watching soon!
I used to love Trancers growing up. Tim thomerson lol yes ! Lance Henrikson is another favorite campy movie actor.
I LOVE that episode of Quincy- my ex-gf and I from the mid-1990s had it on a VHS (we taped it off the TV). Episode is called “Next Stop Nowhere”, and the band “Fear” is in it- awesome mention!
1:30 Tool and Bill Hicks joke. Nice
:)
Aeternuss Ikr?
LEARN TO SWIM
Man, that sci-fi prop with the long red beams in it is in so many damn things. But I mostly recognize it from Star Trek.
You still got some of my tapes man ! 1985 wants its tapes back
100k subs! Grats! :D
Thanks!
FUCKING FINALLY,you've deserved it for a LONG time
this was one of my favorite films as a child. Some of the sequels were alright too. and remember kids, dry hair is for squids.
That line always confused me, my family has alot of sailors and navy vets who're called "squids".
“Arrived at the corner of Bladerunner and Rollerbar.” Damn I lost it when he said that.
I'm mad at myself for not finding your channel earlier, the joke about the view was the best softball I've heard in a long time.
Better late than never!
11:42 how many films has that orange light tube prop been in?
Its surprising how good this cast is.
Hey 100k subs, congratulation Cecil, good to see ya gettin' more popular.
So it was called Future Cop during a re-release? I've always been confused about that, because I saw the movie on the big-screen as Future Cop, and got confused later on when it turned up on cable under the title of Trancers. Hell yes "Trancers"! Love this channel.
Great episode, loads of good gags. GBF is always on top form with Full Moon movies!
Remember on the old versions where you can clearly see the camera for about 5 seconds? Sadly it's gone on the new DVD. Any chance for an episode on ZONE TROOPERS?
holy shit dude, my new haircut - I didn't think anyone remembered that...back when the internet was still beautiful.
congrats man 100,000 subscribers
glad i watched the movie while with your commentary. hope to see other movies in the series.
Congrats on 100k subscribers!
I loved this. Great casting.
Just received my 4K Blu-ray! 😃
This flick appears to have everything I could want in a movie! What is the reason that films get lost so much... and found again if we are lucky?
I always enjoyed this one I don't remember to munch about the sequels but I would love re-visit them someday? Another fun episode Cecil
Omg....the Quincy reference was spot on
2.30 another great cameo by the "futuristic lasers thru a tube" prop!
Made by a company called Modern Props. The prop is described as, "dual generators with rotating neon lights inside an acrylic tube; light-controlled panel with knobs and buttons."
I love Trancers, actually saw it in the theaters. At the time it was called Future Cop.
I need to master the alcohol powers :D
your channel is a great way to rewatch movies and get additional information.
Love it!
That fricken red laser prop is in everything Star Trek, Last Starfighter, Hulk, The Flash Movie, and basically if it's scifi-y from the 70's and 80's that thing is in there. Trancers has the glowy laser thingy stamp of approval.

I just watched Trancers and it was a good time, Tim Thomerson is badass. Not a classic movie but enjoyable with some cool ideas.
"Right next to this toy car is the High Council headquarters." "It's only a model." "SHH!"
Great video as always and huge gongrats on 100k subs
Literally watching this movie right now.
So is it just me, or, at 1:50 did he make a STAR TREK reference ? ( Klingon ) "High Council" headquarters, even the angles are similar.
I love Tim Thomerson. He works with Michael Worth a lot now who's a great indie writer/director.
LOL still true about The Spew, featuring Joyless, Whoopi Cushion, & Eclipse.
This was a fun flick fr
Congratulations on hitting 100K! I'm so happy for you. You definitely deserve it. Will you be doing a Q&A at some point? Overall, fantastic work as always.
I remember being here when you had, maybe 8,000 subs, awesome to see what the channel has become man, keep up the work!
Was that a sneaky tool reference?
Congrats for the 100k subs!!!
have you seen District B13?
This is a great film. Always loved it. Had many funny moments too
Never heard of this movie. That's the beauty of your channel. Now i'm going to search for it.
Oh, by the way, the outro music sounds awesome, it remind me of Painkiller's soundtrack (videogame)
The car Jack walks past in the beginning at the diner is Dekcard's sedan from Blade Runner. Cool.
*BOOOOOZZZEEE!*
What was the name of the Band that does your theme song again? Do they have any albums out?
Psychostick they have a bunch ruclips.net/user/RobOfPsychostick
GoodBadFlicks Okay cool man. Im a huge Metal fan and they sound like they have a cool style. I will check em out. Thanks again man, have an awesome day :)
You'll love em then. They have songs about Bruce Campbell, Mega Man, and other awesome things. Great bunch of guys too. You too. :)
100000 subs! Congratulations! Not a day too soon.
