Exactly this. I had health anxiety with obsessive compulsive thoughts, the googling of symptoms etc was relentless. I recognised the similarities straight away. When I think about what I thought was the truth then, it seems ridiculous to me now but at the time it was so real. I just didn’t believe the doctors that anxiety could cause all the physical symptoms I was experiencing. I thought I was dying. Awful place to be in and my thoughts go out to both of them.

Right away I could tel this mom was just being very over paranoid. I feel for her. But if she wasn’t being poisoned, and her shampoo being spiked, then she made that stuff up. I think she truly believed she was being poisoned, that she felt ok making up a few things to try and prove her story.

Sounds like the mother has paranoia could be schizophrenia or early onset of some sort of neurological disease. But also the fact that there’s people out there that are actually trying to poison their parents for insurance money etc is so crazy. Like when my mom passes I’ll personally get like 300k (what she told me) but I honestly dread that day because it’ll be the worst money I’ll ever receive. I love my mother and there’s not any amount of money on the planet that I’d trade her for.

I feel sorry for her daughter. Who wants that constant stress in their life. She almost seemed as if she was ready to put distance between her & her mother, even after the results. Like she prefers to love her from afar. I hope her mom has stopped accusing her and gotten help. Because that constant paranoia & those accusations, erratic behavior etc… every time you get suspicious, takes its toll on those around you. And her daughter doesn’t deserve that.
