The part with the weapons was brilliant.
+Absolute Absol where did he get a sword?
+Jack Lovejoy Actually it is not that hard to get replicas there was this mall I would go to down in Mississippi where they had a store that sold sword replicas.
+Absolute Absol okay, most of them may still not have seen it, but there was a script.
+Absolute Absol was that guy's shovel also a gun?
When the guy cocked the shovel I lost it
I honestly think the Prequels get way too much shit. Are they perfect? Of course not. Is some of the dialogue bad? Undeniably so. Doesn't mean they're not good films. Star Wars has never been a masterpiece of film-making, let's be honest. It's just a fun sci-fi romp with likable characters, good action, and a lot of heart. And personally, I think the Prequels delivered that.
CaliberStone truth be told I find the dialogue fine, actual people don't talk perfectly.
CaliberStone I completely agree.
and the made CLONE WARS happen
I know i am getting tired of fucking dorks just shitting on something just cause its NOT THE ORIGINAL
Compared to the BS that Lucasfilms is putting out under Kathleen Kennedy's watch, the Prequels are practically Oscar worthy.
Personally, I can't really hate the prequels. The main reason is that I grew up with them around. Today I can see every flaw of them, but despite that I'm willing to watch them when ever. Except Jar Jar, I hated him even back then as a child.
I actually remember watching the prequels more than the originals. I'm not ashamed to say that I can actually follow the political talk and can tolerate a lot of the bad moments (yes, including Jar Jar) even though I now acknowledge they exist.
everyone will hate this but I didn't mind Jar Jar as a kid now granted the star wars series came slow for me and I was introduced through the clone wars seires though when Jar Jar was in the clone wars every so often i found him funny because I never felt like he was intended to be a hero he was the loser who got roped into everything because he's clumsy being a girl who played video games, and tried to get into star wars back on the 2000's I kind of related to him in the fact that he just wanted to look at everything but things he couldn't control liked to push him back. I'm 18 now and understand why others hate him but as a kid I just sort of found comfort in the fact that maybe losers could join in the fun too.
I too grew up with both of them. In my childish mind Jar Jar was just a cartoon character that I saw everywhere else.
History According to Slim same
same. and there's CLONE WARS to be better
Guys, real talk? The part where you guys grabbed the weapons and Caleb cocked the shovel is pure genius. Not kidding.
They all have weapons in their hands
I love how you guys reahersed and edited the picking up of the weapons~ It looked hilarious, caught me by surprised~.
That was already in the original video
They absolutely planned that
They also repeated what he said during Jar Jars part...It was a fake reaction
One of my favorite scenes from the prequels was "Order 66" in the originals all we were told about the jedi being wiped out, when the Emperor starts initiating his final plan and kills nearly 90% of all jedi through the clone troopers, plus it also shows kinda how the Clone Troopers turn into Storm Troopers.
it's cool but I wish it showed the Jedi actual killing Clone Troopers instead of dieing so easily it made think the Jedi were kind of lame especially that one that didn't eject from his burning ship
Cristian Barbosa thats true
true, but when your own soldiers suddenly turn on you, the brief confusion alone is long enough for you to be killed. Plo Kun's death, now that you mention it, does seem kind of stupid considering the beginning, but for jedi like, Secura and the one of the speeder bike, it's totally understandable.
Gray Christian especially considering the romantic relationship between Aayla Secura and Commander Bly.
@@gavanhill5132 Plus the troopers were trained to form up and fire at the jedi's chest where they are most vulnerable to close range concentrated fire
0:59 That cocking the shovel always gets me! :D
Ballistic shovel
0:57 That jump cut was so brilliant, I pissed myself laughing.
Jesus! A bat, a wrench, a shovel and a katana!? Goddamn! Lol
Team Fortress would be proud.
unicron3000 a shotgun shovel apparently.
300-I.Q. Prower ...And now RWBY would be proud.
Dragonstar RWBY: where _EVERYTHING_ is also a gun
300-I.Q. Prower Exactly.
Omg I almost died laughing when they took out the weapons lol
When that part came on,I grabbed a letter opener from the house office. Because that's where I was when I first saw this video.
24:40 The Prequels surprisingly had a good amount of practical effects despite the common consensus believes. The Boonta Eve Pod Racing Stadium, Petranaki arena, and Mustafar environment was done practically.
Nate = Scout
Ben = Engineer
Caleb = Soldier
Micah = Demoknight
Make it happen.
YAS QUEEN!
yes yes yes yes yes yes YES!
Luke Fletcher YES!! XD
14:19 "He's like the Tim Curry of the Star Wars universe."
Interestingly enough, Tim Curry voiced him in the animated series.
0:57 this is why i love you guys
TOTALLY didn't expect that! Hahahaha xD
laugh my ass off, it was funny.
but... how did they know when to do it.
first i was thinking ok ok maby there fast.
but before 0:56 you see one of them going for the weapon before the joke lands.
anyway great show.
+Douglas Boekhoudt They saw the title of the video and waited. did you notice that Micah really looks like Kenshi from mortal kombat with the katana he holds like a badass.
BladeTheDarkWarrior holy crap he does
I had a double take and kept rewinding to this part. What the heck? Bros chill! BTW I liked the prequels myself. Mostly because I grew up with them. I don't think JarJar was annoying and the Clone Wars was the most epic thing ever in this franchise.
You guys should watch his lists about Avatar: The Last Airbender.
yes I would love to see them react to this
funcoolfunfun YES.
0:59 That timing though.... XD
There's a REASON for the monotone delivery, the whole philosophy of the Jedi is distancing yourself from emotions, of COURSE the delivery is going to be emotionless, that's the IDEA.
Why are none Jedi characters acting the same way though?
+Ted Gonzalez If you don't like the meant delivery then that is your fault. The characters were MEANT to be monotone, they hit what they wanted to. If you cannot understand that being a Jedi meant being emotionless (just like Yoda which everyone likes) then that is your problem, not the movies.
+Sky Chaser When Mace Windu is supposed to be authoritative towards Palpatine in saying the oppression of the Sith will never return, he instead comes off as shaky and undriven by any real motivation. THAT is why it is monotone, a monotonic personality does not exist, you're describing a hardened serious personality - which Mace Windu certainly has, but is one that's both written and delivered poorly.
0:58 That weapons part was so out of nowhere, you can't help but laugh.
George Lucas: "You want to buy some prequels?"
Me: "You don't want to sell me prequels."
Lucas: "I don't want to sell you prequels."
Me: "You want to go home and rethink your life."
Lucas: "I want to go home and rethink my life."
Lucas: "I want to go home and rethink my life."
And so Lucas went home, rethought his life, and sold Star Wars to Disney.
Lord-of-Change and got 4 billion dollars and a royalty check for each Star Wars film made by Disney
Yea and rewrite the current trilogy and finish with JarJar becoming Snoke then Darth Plaqueis!

If only...
Would have added the Clones and General Grevious to the list somewhere.
Mustafar too. Lava planet for the win.
Those didn't get any real development until the tv series.
But the movies laid the groundwork, no?
Honestly I think the Tartakovsky version of Grevious is the cool one, which came out before the movie, though was made at the same time.
the clones where probably number 12
0:50 I freaking lost it. God bless you all you geniuses.
Wait did he just cock a spade?!
Midi-Chlorians are just what bridge the gap between life-forms and the Celestial Force, they just build a bigger bridge making it easier for some to use the Force
yeah I don't understand the hate for it either.
If we explain love on a hormonal level does it run relationships
+Ginger Daikaiju Oh, is that the horseshit some EU book writers came up with, to explain away that particular turd nugget from Lucas?
98% of movie goers will never read the books.
Scottoest It isn't EU, EU isn't canon. Clone Wars implies that The Force is still celestial energy(Especially in Season6 when Yoda met with the Force Priestesses), "All energy from the Living Force, from all things that have ever lived, feeds into the Cosmic Force, binding everything and communicating to us through the midi-chlorians. Because of this, I can speak to you now."
―The spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn, communing with Yoda
+Ginger Daikaiju Also, if midichlorians weren't formally introduced (apparently George Lucas had thought up midichlorians along with the original star wars movie), then it lessens Luke's and Leia's significance as the only hopes for defeating Vader, because then they could have gotten any regular jackass to become a Jedi and fight him
Zoey Holman yeah duh. Anikin was "the chosen one" and look at what happened to him. Nothing is set in stone.
0:54 NC: "There is one other thing to talk about: the good stuff."
*weapons appear out of nowhere*
Me: *laughs hysterically*
The best thing to come out of the prequels the clones wars cartoon
Gideon Horwitz the 3D or the tartakovski mini-series?
Victor Riquelme both.
Jimmy Reyes Animation which one did you like more?
* cartoonS
To address the question of why they didn't clone jedi, I remember a section from The Force Unleashed 2.
SPOILER ALERT(If you even actually care about this game)
Vader talks about how when cloning Starkiller, the vast majority of the clones went mad and died, with the explanation being something about how cloning doesn't mix well with the Force(can't remember the exact wording as its been a very long time since I played it) and even the ones you fight near the end of the game are very weak compared to you, the ONE successful clone. In fact the game even hints that the Starkiller you play as isnt even a clone but a mind-wiped/brainwashed Starkiller from the first game ie. the real one. Now it was a fairly mediocre game and they first one was too, but I personally enjoyed them(The first game more than the second)for the lore that it added and how it bridged the prequels with the original trilogy and showing how the rebellion was formed.
Tarknaal wasn't a fan of Force Unleashed II. They kinda....well...."Shadow the Hedgehog'd" Starkiller in that one
I can replay the scene where they all simultaneously pull out the weapons over and over again
I would have to say another scene that is rellg good in this trilogy is the opening scene in attack of the clones. Not the scene where the attacks happens but the scene where they fly in to the landing pad. Just everything about that opening 2 minutes just looks so cool. From seeing the convoy of ships fly into the city planet, to seeing the ships fly into the fog, to seeing the ships land, it really sets the tone of suspense. I actually like this scene and I think this is one of the few scenes in the prequels that are done just right.
Very nice touch with the drawing of weapons moments.....
Love your work, boyos....
0:58 hold on don't mob out yet I haven't lit enough torches yet
Jacob Saunderson *Don't forget the pitchforks!!!*
🗡️🗡️🏹🏹🏹🕯️📌✂️🥊🔪🔫🔪🔫 🔪🔫🔪⚔️ ⚔️🔫🔪🔫🔪🔫🔪🔫🥊✂️📌🕯️🏹🏹🏹🗡️🗡️
Will this be enough?
HE SHEATHED THE KATANA PROPERLY. HALLELUJAH.
When everyone pulled their weapons out I was rolling on the floor laughing for almost 5 whole minutes. Thx for just that moment :)
My god you guys are hilarious. Everyone had a weapon in sync with the video. Priceless! I honestly had to rewind a few times. Keep up the great work fellas!
I would love to see them react to the unusual suspects, things the original star wars trilogy did wrong. anyone else?
+Loch Mon thats nice video... also Unusal Suspect isn't full of himself like Doug Walker.
YES YESYES YESYES YESYES YESYES YESYES YESYES YES!!!!
Yeah, also nice Faiz pic
+Loch Mon yap i love unusual suspect
They should rename the prequels to "Sitting Wars" they sit 80% of the time in the movies.
Add 15% Standing
And 5% floating.
true, but there's a lot of politics that goes into waging a war and manipulating the downfall of an ancient order and government.
I really liked Jarjar, I really don't know his hate, but blah, I guess cause I am not a true starwar fan, I just enjoyed all 6 movies, that it.
+TJ G i understand you liking the prequel, the fight cinematography on light sabers fight were great, the space battles were great
but jar jar?
jar jar? he's a menace
+dsniper17 a...phantom menace?
I also don't hate him, but I can see why he is disliked.
That's normal. some people love him. Usually younger. I'm 15 and I don't really hate him
crazyjohnb22 I am way older, lol.
Like I said before, I think you'd really appreciate NC's "review" of Mad Max Fury Road.
+Sperium3000 I agre!
agreed
Funny how people bitched about the lack of review in that video the same way that people bitched about the lack of story in Fury Road. XD
That feminist pandering review? (shudders)
Luiz Antonio It's a feminist pandering movie.
You guys should react to Cinema WINS next. Specifically, "Everything GREAT about Episode 1".
I love that you all had weapons at the ready, absolutely brilliant. And Micah's katana :3
Okay at the 0:56 mark, That just escalated very quickly. I mean yeah using a baseball bat and shovel is one thing, BUT A FREAKING KATANA SWORD! That just overkill, just a little bit.
Only 11? Id have trouble finding 11 bad things.
Guess half the problems get solved with a different synchro.
No mention of the order 66 scene?
I actually like the prequels
Summer Rose Circlejerk?
@Sammykid 2 I also really like them i mean i can acknowledge the bad parts but the visuals, dialogue. world building, acting and action were really good in my eyes and tbh i prefer them to the originals for that
🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🕯️✂️🥊🔪🔫🔪🔫 🔪🔫🔪⚔️ Can you repeat that?⚔️🔫🔪🔫🔪🔫🔪🔫🥊✂️🕯️🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹
@@a.mseymour180 I love the prequels
which one ❓
Heheheheh, that guy's laugh is great! xD
He's really the "Rich Evans" of Renegades React ;-)
The best is at 14:20
One of my favorite things about the prequels was the lightsaber duels. It's absolutely amazing.
The part with the weapons legit scared me the first time.
subscribed! (long overdue)
Next time, an actual review. Like Son of the Mask, Cat in the Hat or hell, I'll settle on Stephen King's IT or The Shinning mini-series, he reviewed. But, regardless, excellent video. You guys are awesome!
the weapon part xDD
XD I was not NOW expecting you guys to be brandishing weapons
Years later the prequels is the best of star wars and gave us the most star wars content
During Luke and Vaders Death Star fight in Jedi there are voices in the music, as well as anytime the Emperor is on screen.
I actually enjoyed the prequels more than the originals cause they gave the start of the story of Vader vs. Kenobi and the empire coming to fruition so to say the prequels are bad is wrong their good and deserve the respect they deserve and if you don't like them then your missing out on three great movies that deserve at least two or three watches to show them the respect they deserve.
8:03 if they were the Mafia
“Take That back or we break your kneecaps see?”
Wait, is that an actual katana?
yes
Cuz he's a ninja
Joshua Seagondollar Why wouldn't it be, lol? I have two myself.
The commitment to the weapons bit is amazing
Please react to his "Food Fight" review. It's one of my favorite reviews of his.
Perhaps they should even react to the Unusual Suspect's "Top 10 Things Star Wars Ep. 4-6 Did Wrong"
+Max Walker I love his Phantom Menace review when Obi-Wan goes Thug-life. They should also react to the Jar-Jar theory.
+Hobbit Love I'd say go for Jontrons review instead.
Madison Hobbs they already did it
They suddenly whip out weapons to beat up Critic. My reaction: "Good God they were ready for it!"
I must be one of the few people who really likes the prequels, and never minded Jar Jar lol
+JHowesitgoing123 I didn't mind him either, I even had a Jar Jar T-shirt.
+777 MangaKing 777 i loved the prequels but i despised jar jar
+JHowesitgoing123 I liked the prequels!
You are most definitely not alone, friend! ^_^
*raises hand* I liked him more as a kid, less as an adult, but I never HATED him.
8:00 was the perfect response, and it matched the video perfectly
00:56 I love how you guys went so quick into the gag. Love it XD
well, there was one big of chorus in the original trilogy: when Palpatine was electrocuting Luke
Weapons bit would've been funnier if at least two of you hadn't been playing around with them in plain sight, anyway.
I liked the mythos as he’s was once the apprentice to plaugs until mauls defeated is when he killed his master plagues.
Do a reaction to "Top 10 Things Star Wars 4-6 Did Wrong"!!!
the shot gun shovel gets me every time I rewatch it.
Can we please have every video feature your guys' arsenal? That was HYSTERICAL!!
I just now realized all of those weapons can be found in Team Fortress 2 (Scout's bat, Soldier's shovel, Demo's katana, Engie's wrench).
The part where they got out their weapons was brilliant and hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing!
0:57 I am dying of laughter!
Okay I've been watching you guys ever since the begining of Volume 3 for RWBY started. Only 1 minute and a half into the video but with the whole pulling out the weapons thing I think I should make it official now. This is definitely my favorite reaction channel. Sidenote: Where did you get the sword from?
Yes there was choir in John Williams score for the Original Trilogy.
#1 "Jedi Fury" this score was used when Luke attacked Vader in Return of the Jedi in the Emperor's throne room.
#2 "Emperors theme" this was used when the Emperor was shocking Luke to death. Just before Vader turns on the Emperor you can clearly hear a choir in the background. In fact this same score was used for the Revenge of the Sith Trailer.
The final comments in this video did not age well
That weapons part was brilliant!
That weapons joke was perfect.
You guys are one of the best RUclipsrs out there! May the force be with you!
im on the floor crying when every one pulls out weapons the only thing near me was my dog so i used him XD
We have four guys with objects that are known as real weapons. A katana,a shovel,a wrench, and a baseball bat. Me though? I have a letter opener.
Please do the NCs for Star Wars Holiday Special, The Force Awakens (both the trailer for the review and the review itself) and Rogue One. Thank you.
I love how they’re all holding weapons.
The best version of the pregnancy reveal is still HISHE!
Did he reload that shovel? lol
For me it will always be like this (this is biased and is really just what I like obviously, also not 11 cause I can't think of 11 things I REALLY liked about the prequels, and besides after what I'm about to list the gap between how much I like the entry is huge. Honorable mentions go to things I just can't NOT bring up)
Honorable Mention: Order 66 (would be on list if all the Jedi didn't go down without a fight)
HM2: Jango Fett. Awesome in concept, but his death was a letdown (like father like son).
HM3. Qui-Gon: I just always REALLY liked this guy, I don't know why.
5. The clones: Ep. 2 is my least favorite of the prequels, but the entire part where the clones are revealed is awesome to me. It's exposition sure, but it still seems cool. This is probably just me though.
4. Opening to Return of the Jedi: for exact reasons described in the video.
3.5 This is a total chest hence being a .5, but the end of Lego Star Wars episode 3, where instead of Vader going "NOOOOOoooooo...." he just goes BERSERK. I played the lego games before ever watching the movies, so that stupid line is even more of a deal breaker. The freaking comedy Lego game perfectly conveyed what was going through Vader's mind, it was much more powerful than his movie counterpart.
3. THAT scene (rethink your life) but also Ewan Mcgregor in general as Obi-wan, again for reasons stated in the video.
2. General Grievous: I shouldn't even need to explain why this guy is awesome. The concept alone is enough to make him one of my favorite characters in the franchise. Bonus points for probably inspiring Alice Twilight.
1. Death Maul and his accompanying fight and music. It would be practically perfect if he didn't suddenly lose all skill and just practically let himself
Now if only George Lucas would Acknowledge the Old Republic....
John Stark
well at least there is one excuse to ignore the old republic
the technology is much more advanced then in most of the expanded universe to the point where you question if it is in the future or the past
Anthony Rodriguez oh...
I love how everyone has makeshift blunt weapons but the one guy in the back has an actual katana
I remember when there was the pause before you grabbed the weapons that where placed down before hand.
And on the prequels, I know there’s some problems with them. But I still enjoy them. Good visuals, it built up more of the world before the rebellion and showed the rise of the Empire.
It took the ‘Clone Wars’ in an interesting direction. But I feel It should’ve been two clone armies fighting. One mixed with regular people wanting to protect the Republic and give some worry for common people against a threat that would be like an infinite wave of bodies crashing down on them.
It also gave a bit more on the Jedi, showing they weren’t perfect peaceful protectors. More focused on the light than just the force as a whole and understanding it as a neutral entity that coursed through the galaxy and united all life. And how much they where set in their ways that then literally made a blood test to go out and find children to steal instead of acting like a school and treating force users like actual people, instead of indoctrination children at a young age to fear the dark side instead of looking for a balance between both the dark and the light.
I also like the politics they did show, it could’ve been worse and been more of ‘Star Senate’ than a war. It was expanded upon to show the corruption of the senate and how easily it was turned by a threat to their position of power and the propaganda against the other. Like World War 1. Many said the Germans where doing horrible things as the pushed to France and that the Russians where to Germans.
I can see the unused potential and still enjoy what there is and what was expanded upon in shows and books.
But metaclorians and still a big steaming pile of horse **** to make and explanation for the force instead of a mystery for all to ponder upon.
0:57 lol I felt like I was going to get mugged XD. Man I love you guys, no homo.
(I love the prequels TBH and I also love NC's review cuz even though he doesn't like them, he can acknowledge the good things in them, which I appreciate)
Anyone else jump like hell when they pulled the weapons out? This is why this is my new favourite channel!
The weapons bit still gets me. I think it's the dramatic gun cock with a shovel XD
how was order 66 not in this video
I always thought it might have been better in Episode 3 if in the opening Anakin got injured in a way that made him have to wear a half face mask so he can breath and giving him a voice closer to Darth Vader's played by someone else. That way we could of gotten better line delivery but still get the emotions that Hayden dose great at but still keep the end when he becomes Darth Vader.
the makeup they used to make Ewan Macgreggor old was great as well, they made him look like a older version of obi wan from phantom menace, and a good resemblance to kenobi from the original trilogy
Fun Fact: Most of the worlds people think were CG were actually miniatures. Theed, The Pod Race starting line, the Kamino hallways, the Geonosis Coliseum, those giant Kashyyyk trees, and Mustafar were all practical effects.
Also whenever you saw a ship being blown up in episode 1, it was a miniature being blown up. Even Sebulba's pod racer crash was practical.
17:28 Even Gilbert & Sullivan, you could argue, indulged in this trope, with the fable of the magnet and the churn in _Patience_ , and that of the “Darwinian man” in _Princess Ida_ . Though arguably the tale of the king who treated everyone equally in _The Gondoliers_ could be the closest to a G&S equivalent of Darth Plagueis.
haha where you all pulled out those weapons. You guys just get funnier and funnier. This is why you're one of my favourite channels!
Please do more Nostalgia Critic episodes! I advise doing his reviews of Alice In Wonderland, Top 11 Best Avatar: The Last Airbender Episodes, and also his review of the Mad Max saga.
The Prequels are getting a lot of love thanks to Disney. Oh right, thanks to Disney's Star Wars in particular and just how awful it is.
14:21 - To make things even funnier, Tim Curry voiced Palpatine in Clone Wars from 2012 to 2014.
Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One are my favourite Star Wars films ever made! Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One are both underrated Star Wars films also.
14:24 I see what you did there, Doug. I gotcha. Full FORCE. Funny.
watch an actual nostalgia critic video like son of the mask or cat in the hat
