the original boat scene was completely improvised, when the people freaked out, they weren't acting they weren't told about that part, most of the stuff in the gene wilder movie was improvised
The scene where the kids are shown the inside of the factory, with chocolate river was never shown to them until they started filming. The kids reactions are genuine. When the actor for Charlie goes in at the end to get the chocolate, he was not informed that Gene Wilder would be shouting angrily, and the actor to his credit, was able to do his part on the first take, despite that.
The Young Cosmonaut I think what he meant was, the actors(with the exception of Gene Wilder) were not informed of what exactly was going to happen in the tunnel scene, so they went in not expecting the footage, weird lighting and Gene singing that poem from the book.
The scene of him coming out slowly and tripping only to roll and jump up when we first met him was Wilder's idea. He wanted this so nobody knew what to expect from him.
Good God, the faces. I just love how you guys react. Hell, it kinda looks like Mica's uncomfortable the entire time because of them! It's just hilarious
every time i hear "is the grisly reaper mowing?" i imagine a bear in a cloak that's to small, with a scythe in his mouth, mowing my front lawn with a push mower. (one of those tiny ones that hardly ever work) anyone else?
My reaction to the title: Oh no... what is this? No wait, nevermind. I don't want to know. I'll find out in a minute.... *sigh* Tom and Jerry was pretty good... Edit: After watching... I- I think that I need to lie down... I definitely won't be sleeping for a while.
Apparently the kid mouse oompa loompa is voice by the lady that did Phil and Lil from Rugrats, and little Muriel from that one episode of Courage. Why is her voice so distinctive?
...I always crank up the volume since you guys leave the original video sound pretty low, but then I immediately have to turn it back down every time someone deafens me with their laughter...
You guys should really watch the First Viewing of this. It has Doug, his brother who's name escapes me and their dad first watching this and it's great.
They really missed an opportunity here. If you're going to combine Tom and Jerry with a Roald Dahl property, why not use The Witches. Kids being turned into mice? Imagine the possibilities! Jerry could be confused with one of the children. Hijinks ensue.
Can somebody explain to me why using the Word "Hell" in this movie is surprising to anybody?! The original show had actual depiction of Hell. The animated images of hell were IN THE SHOW so why saying "hell" is a surprise in any way? ??
Well I haven't seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (seen the Tim Burton version though pls don't kill me) so I don't have any nostalgia for it but I do have a lot of nostalgia for Tom and Jerry. I used to camp out on Cartoon Network waiting for them to air those old shorts (as such I watched other shows as well even tho I understood nothing because I didn't understand english) and I also loved Tom and Jerry: Kids that later on aired on slovak chanels during weekend mornings. When I've learned about this I was like: WTF was the thought process behind this? What did this duo do to be relegated to direct to DVD shit? Some of the old shorts won Academy Awards. Whyyyyyyyyy?! I think that I've gone of the rails a bit there. Oh well... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Dáša Petríková *PLEEEEEASE!!!!!* For the love of God and Humanity.....*DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!!* Even if you are a fan of Tom and Jerry and the Tim Burton remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, don't watch this movie. *PLEEEEEASE!!!!*
Neo-Xgray87 Don't worry I won't. I'm not stupid. Only Tom and Jerry that ever mattered to me were the shorts and Tom and Jerry: Kids. Hey if you know any other T&J stuff that is worth it I'd like to know about it.
11:48 you know I used to do that I used to imagine myself or other characters from completely offensively unrelated stuff happening in the background in the movies I watched when I was real little because I was a kid who let my brain Wonder
I like how, since being noticed by sempai, you guys have been doing more reactions to Nostalgia Critic reviews. He's got such great material and is always fun to watch.
@@jamesmoyner7499 Yeah, that's the one I remember! It was a good one. And I didn't know that. Both it being the last film Joe Barbera personally worked on and that he died. Now I have another reason to love it

I'm not even kidding i have a feeling this movie was animated by the guys who made the Zelda and Hotel Mario CD-i animations just with a higher budget.
You guys have to react to nostalgia critic the haunting, saved by the bell, jaws 3, jaws the revenge, jurassic park, the lost world jurassic park, and jurassic park 3. Their all freaking hilarious!!

To this day, what angers me the most about this film is that, honestly, well, aside from them using the less accurate film adaptation as their inspiration, if you read the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, you can tell this book should have been given the animation treatment ages ago. It's written like a cartoon script. So the fact that they needed to insert Tom and Jerry into it to justify that honestly gets to me more than anything else.
You know Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory was rated G in the Tom and Jerry and the Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory is not rated so I guess they can say the word hell but then again Rated G he said hell
Why was this made? For one reason:
"We've got to have... Money"
Riku006 yyyyyyeeeeeeesssssssssss
"IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY!"

proof of that?
The tunnel couldn’t have been improvised, as the poem was in the original book

I think the best part was their reaction to the Creepy Wonka face.
"There's three beams now!" "We're moving up in the world"
Yep, the Renegades are going places!
21:31 Micah's just like, "I'm prepared for this shit now." XD
At 15:45 is when the tunnel scene begins for anyone interested.
i doubt it was to honor Gene Wilder. he let it be known that he found remakes insulting
Alice Delgado Well, he'd have definitely found this one insulting.

Weird to admit it, but I have a collection of soul-sucking faces from this movie that I use as reaction images

21:34, their best reaction to date.
I have a new idea for a crossover:
"God of War: ft. Tom and Jerry"
TheLoneLoony Oh no
Oh, dear lord...
Something that will probably happen Tom and jerry Sand lot
Oh no
Oh, why stop there? How about Tom and Jerry & the Avengers: Infinity War? Tom and Jerry & The Umbrella Academy? Tom and Jerry & Logan?
Tom & Jerry in Mouse Hunt. Now that's a movie that would makes sense.
I've never seen that, but I've heard about it. From what I know, it would work. XD
Why do I vividly remember Doug making a Phil/Lil rugrats joke when the tunnel scene happened, and it's not here?
IMVADER2 I think that was from someone else's review
Yep! Saberspark
"Honoring Gene Wilder...."
(Nate leaves)
"AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!"

John Aldridge Doug's brother is named Rob
16:10 this scene along with the prom I believe should be parodied in hazbin hotel as a character enters hell

ParanoidBigfoot The actress who voices the Oompa Loompa mouse also voices Phil and Lil from the Rugrats
Hope you guys can react to the Nostalgia Critic's review of the Ducktales Reboot XD

I like the Tom and Jerry film The Fast and the Furriest. It has the feel of The Great Race and It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World.
I remember that film! God, it feels so long since I've seen it. That was the one where one of the racers was a demon with a kinda nerdy voice, right?

Idk why I'm just noticing it in this video, but Micah is adorable!
Who wants to bet this is just this is actually Tom and Jerry messing around on the SET if the movie?
TFW you are in the middle of watching the original video and *ONLY THEN* does the renegades video come out.
