    Your PC can be turned on via wake on LAN - even from an off state, but you need to disable fast boot/fast startup.

    Google Assistant has very recently modified their API, it's no longer possible to pass variable parameters through IFTTT 😢

    I got it to work with MacroDroid, and the trigger phrase seems to work, but Google Assistant just keeps spinning after acknowledging it understood "Active Computer". I am trying from sleep mode.

      After pasting the link you need to enter the name of the computer as well. In my case it was "the beast" after the link

    Okay, if people have problems seeing the "wake on magic packet" in device maneger even WITH the bios setting turned on it could be a driver issue, let me explain cause I have just sat and solved this myself, not a fun experience... (this might also help you @TechGsdgets since you say it happend to you and you are on win 11, as am I, also might fix it so you can turn your pc on from a complete off state, cause that is what this "fix" allowed me to do) chances are if you go into device maneger and find your ethernet adapter and click update driver its gonna say it's on the latest driver as it did for me, I wouldn't trust that outright! I searched up on Google on the name of my ethernet adapter which is something like Intel(R) Ethernet connection 1219-v Im pretty sure, might be different per person, just depends on what ethernet card is in your motherboard, search for a newer driver and if there is one download from a trusted source, no automation is worth malware! In my case I found one, directly from intel and after installing, it popped up with the setting, I didn't even have to restart my pc, tho might be needed in some cases, HOWEVER it's not over yet, new driver also came with new settings in my case, and some of them had to be turned off before I could wake my pc, there are 3 settings I had that needed to be off, I had one called "ultra low power mode", one called "energy efficient ethernet" and one called "system idle power saver" I had to turn those settings off before it would work, but now I can turn on my pc from a complete off state no sleep mode or anything, hope this helps!

      Thanks again for sharing, I will give it a go as well. I thought I had driver issues as well so I downloaded the latest one for my motherboard from Asus.. however nothing has changed even after installing that one. I will have a look on intel if I can find something else.

      @@TechGadgetsMediayea definitely do, I just searched on the adapter name itself and then it came up, hope you can find a solution to it aswell

      hi how do you turn these 3 settings off?

    • @Cinnamon_Shaey
      @Cinnamon_Shaey 6 месяцев назад

      @@thuando7000 should be in the network driver properties, if it's not then either it might go by a different name and most likely also is a different network card you have in your motherboard, I realize now that my "guide" is a little limited, sure it's fairly detailed but it's limited to my hardware or similar to it, pretty much every pc is different, and that makes stuff like this incredibly hard, some hardware are even incapable of it, even with this RUclipsrs video I had to find out a lot for myself, and basically educate myself on drivers... Which let me tell you... Is DRY reading!
