Google assistant is very underrated
You forgot to include the fact that you can ask Google Assistant to sing happy birthday and cherry on top is that you can even ask Assistant to sing for specific person like your mom or partner and it will sing it with that context in the song. It's a cool party trick, pun intended 😆

Cheers for this 🙏🏿. I actually don't use Google assistant enough. I'm always a creature of old habits but a lot of these come in handy.
My favourite command is lumos (the spell for light in harry potter). It turns on your flashlight and I actually use it. There are other fun harry potter commands too.

Here's one - You can actually humm with your voice to google and it will find the song you need to know the name of. Just say "Hey google, whats this song and start humming it!

Watching just 2 videos related to the Pixel phone and Google Assistant convinced me to switch to a Pixel Phone from Samsung. Google should definitely consider your videos as part of their marketing plan! :) Great Job!!
Samsung has this/ supports this. You can do almost all Google on Sammy Android.

The last time I had a Pixel was the Pixel 2XL. I have waited years for them to come out with this and since I have had my 7 Pro, it's going to be hard to get rid of it. The assistant features are too handy and Google knew what they were doing when they made it 🤣

If you mean nest hub then yes it has go be on the same wifi
You can control your google home remotely. If you want to cast from your phone to your google home devices then you need to be on the same wifi.

I just want to get data like from a chart or something. I hate how unadvanced technology is these days I can barely do anything. If you didn't use that function when you are using your new phone the first time, you're good to go.
Why would you NOT use Google assistant? Its literally amazing. Besides why even disable it.. just don't say "hey Google"
I've got my reasons. One thing I can't stand is as soon as I plug in my Pixel 7 to the USB I'm my car to play music the Google Assistant notification comes on. I don't want that notification period. It's in my way and so far I don't think there's a video to stop that. 🙄
Go to settings and change assist app from Google to 'None'

It has this 'Default Digital Assistant' selector
It gives option of Google, Alexa, browsers and None
So i think if you could find and toggle this to 'None'
You could disable it!!
