Over the years I have tries many methods of having a hot meal on my boats ranging from a thermos to a gas oven and stove on the big boat. Of all, the gas oven and stove were the most satisfactory, however that is impractical on a trailer boat.
The average camping gas BBQ doesn’t really cut it for use on a boat. The first problem is that it is not intended for use in a marine environment and therefore rusts out relatively quickly. The second problem is that it is intended for use on stable ground, not a rocking boat which can have pots and pans sliding off and falling to the deck, quite dangerous when hot.
This is the best solution I have been able to find for a trailer boat. I got it a while ago and have used it for several trips before posting this video because I wanted to give it a good test before recommending it. It has performed flawlessly.
If you are overnighting and want to be able to cook a hot meal on your boat, I highly recommend this BBQ.
There are some links below where you can get one of your own. The top link is the seller that I bought off. They sell the BBQ and stand as a complete package and are the cheapest price I could find on or off eBay for this make and model of BBQ. These BBQ s are popular and sell out quickly, however they are also restocked quickly so you don’t have to wait long.
I have provided a couple of search links in case you are impatient but be careful which BBQ you choose, there are several brands that look similar but, in my opinion, they are not of the same calibre as the one I am reviewing. If not buying the same package as I am then you will also need the stand, carry bag, cover and possibly a spare rod holder to mount it in.

Great video. The mounting rack has changed slightly in the newest model, but now allows for rail mounting.
Thank you. That is a good improvement!
This was so enjoyable to watch. I've been looking through several videos trying to get the perfect son-in-law barbecue grill for his pontoon boat. And by watching it I've decided to get this one. I am wondering though that the propane tank that you have if it's possible to use those little green ones that are smaller. And I'm hoping that this can attach to my son-in-law's small pontoon boat because I don't know if he has those holes that are on your boat. Any suggestions? Thank you again these other videos I watch they're all bias and they do the same barbecues and then I research the reviews and they're not all that great
Thank you.
I'm not sure about the gas bottle you mention. This is the one I have: ebay.us/oaneT7 The gas fitting on the hose that came with the BBQ matches the one on the bottle.
I just put the BBQ in a standard rod holder. You can add a rod holder to your son-in-laws boat easily enough if it doesn't have any. I use these for the BBQ: ebay.us/FQY3oX You can get plastic rod holders that are cheaper but I think the stainless steel is well worth the extra.
Can you do a video of you assembling it on the boat mate ?
I'll try to do one next time I overnight.
Steak! What happened to a fillet or two of snapper. Thanks for the video.
😀 Sometimes it's hard to decide. Thank you.
Is this run gas tank?
Yeah mate, gas BBQ. Heavy cast iron grill. Cooks great. 😀
@@weFishAU I need electric on my freedom sport 610
I know you can get 12V electric grills but I haven't done any investigation on that since I wanted gas.
