“By the grace of God and King George’s arse! We are releasing a new video, and our next album is officially on the way! “No Prey, No Pay” sets the stage for the album and describes how times suddenly had become more difficult for those sailing under the black flag. More than ever, piracy had become a hazardous task, many times with the sole purpose of getting enough value to guarantee a decent meal for a couple of days.”

It took me too long to realize this entire album is one big story arc, starting with this, the journey into piracy, then blaming the ransacked town on the British, turning down a pardon, fighting sword and gun, getting caught, trial, verdict: Hanging, being hanged, then a somber song about the death of a crewmate.

I think these pirates are disgusting enough to actually be historically accurate.
They still have a lot of teeth, but other than that it appears to be accurate.

I would like to compliment them on their incredible pieces of prop material....the costumes are one thing, but getting a search warrant drawn in 18th century style for Dirty John ist just surprising. You blink and you miss it, but they took the full effort here. Remarkable.

These guys are brilliant but I feel like the vocals need to be ever so slightly louder than the instrumentals - they're a bit difficult to make out as it stands.
agreed, hopefully when they're doing mixing for the album they up the vocals a bit, really quiet during the chorus

In dire need of a quick escape the captain evokes a strange ritual he learned from a double peg legged man he met behind a brothel in Jamaica. after much determination, delirium, and hopping, they are successfully transported back to the safety of there vessel. While never looking at meatpies quite the same way ever again, the captain and crew were thankful for there salvation and immediately set to plan the rescue of there recently captured crewmate.

These guys are great! At first I kinda compared them to alestorm, but that’s silly. They are their own sound and it’s good. Yeah at first it felt like I couldn’t hear the lead singer but now I’ve got used to it and it really works for me!

For who says "They are like Alestorm, but worse" did you ever listen Alestorm? Yes the theme of the songs is pirates in both groups, but the music is completely different, even when compared with first Alestorm albums, it's like comparing 2001 a space odyssey and Interstellar: both films are about space but they are completely different.
And, just for information, I also prefer Alestorm, but, I repeat, Ye Banished Privateers aren't like Alestorm.
privateers are literally not even close to metal :) They play medieval intruments and a toy piano...
Very true. Completely different music styles. As for their abilities to play their instruments, they are probably about on par. If we compare historical accuracy, then YBP are very good and Alestorm are some silly clowns that would not even be good enough to play as their opening act. But that comparison isn't fair either, because Alestorm don't aim at anything remotely resembling historical accuracy, they are just about fun
Yeah I really don't like alestorm, might be that besides their music, 95% of people on their concerts are too drunk to remember how to use vowels and behave accordingly now and then

The whole album is about this guy named Bellows (Random member in the crew of the ship, and the guy who was getting chased on the beach) Getting chased, caught, and hung. The album is called Hostis Humani Generis.

You know, I always wonder seeing these videos out there... Like, why would anyone eat oranges like apples? It's not the first time I saw people bitting into oranges in videos or movies. Do people do that in real life as well?
Well you can eat the peel (if it isnt covered with pesticides), its supposed to be more nutrient rich than the innards actually, but sour and harder to digest. So I can see people in this kind of (scurvy plaqued) setting actually digging into them like this.
