I am actually writing a scene for my Dark eye pirate campaign based on this Clip. They will have to save imprisoned crewmembers like this. And a NSC of their crew is telling that he was rowing with one Hand when aseked to be a witness. 2 years ago for christmas i based one on sulphor ahoy.

Why are so many people commenting that these guys and girls aren't taking themsevles seriously? To me it seems to be quite the opposite. I saw them live several times and I realized that they are very, very dedicated. They live their characters and the are absolutely SINCERE. They play their roles seriously in order to create humor. So they take their craft very serious, even if this results in very funny songs and performances. But I also saw them perform "Death of Bellows" live, between some rather comical scenes and it was one of the most intense and sincere performances I ever saw. These guys and girls are among the most serious performers I have ever seen and I would love to work with such professional and dedicated musicians.
There's a difference between not taking yourself serious and not being serious. You can very much be dedicated and giving you all while not taking yourself too serious

Underappreciated bit of acting from Maynard at 3:15. He perfectly captured that feeling of when you injure yourself and it doesn't really hurt _yet_ , but it gets worse the longer you look at it.
The video director of this really took the spotlight. This video amplified the enjoyment of the song so much, I may not have liked the song if it weren't for the characters that I now associate with it. I didn't really like it the first time, but after coming back for the video a few more times I've now looked at all of Ye Banished Privateers stuff haha
I like sea chanties/pirate themed metal and I've seen a few bands that do it, but so far only Alestorm did it well. And now this band goes slightly more Yo Ho than metal and this precisely hits the spot.
Being too serious about life sucks.... life should be an adventure and they make it feel like that... just listen and enjoy! stop being too serious and use the day you have too enjoy while you still can. Great musi video, awesome song. but i can tell you guys from experience, this band is a must have experience live. saw em at annotopia 2019, they made 3 concerts on that day, we stumbled across the first by chance and didn'T miss the other 2, pus we came back the next day just to see em again and it was 110% worth it. Thanks for this awesome experience
Ye Banished Privateers, Alestrorm, and The Dread Crew of Oddwood, need to all come together and tour the states, all 3 of them kick so much ass that it should be counted as the most bad-ass of pirate crimes! Running Wild is the OG pirate themed band. Although they are heavy metal not power metal.

Actually Dread Crew of Oddwood will share the stage with Ye Banished Privateers at a pirate festival in Zülpich. That's Germany.
Would love to see them come to the states for a show durring Gasparilla (Tampa's annual Pirate themed festival). Would road trip for that.
