This is quite literally everything I hoped it to be. Brilliant use of everyone's talents, thinking outside the box when it comes to the folk instruments and not holding back on the heaviness. Great sign of what's to come.
it reminds me so much of slania days,where it was melodic death metal infused with folk elements. it was perfect,everything kinda went downhill a few albums after that - makes you think that ivo,anna and merlin were dragging the band down,if i may phrase it that way...now that they seem back on the track,i really can't wait the next album!

Man, how is it so many people are so blind to a band's history? Did all of you just see the singles off the last album like "man this new band is pretty cool" and just never notice their entire back catalogue? THIS is Eluveitie's bread and butter sound. Their acoustic stuff is fantastic as well but this is the more 'original' sound for them...AND IT'S FUCKING AWESOME!!!

These guys are great AND versatile and that is what makes them unique. Other bands always belt out shit that all sounds the same but these guys go somewhere different every album! This is amazing!

This felt like someone took a bunch of classic Eluveitie songs and mashed them together, in the best way. There's little hints that it's a new lineup, but it's still distinctly Eluveitie. Cannot fucking wait for the next album.

Nah people refer to lack of melody in rampage part. But song is cool.
People were also complaining that Evocation II wasn't metal enough (even though it's not supposed to be). It's like some people just like to complain.
Although there is more metal in this song than most others i still enjoyed it. Its a nice combination.

There are no blast beats, breakdowns and Melodeath guitar solos in Inis Mona if I'm not mistaken

This is the best Song I heard from Eluveitie since Anna left the band... not quite sure about the guitar solo yet, but 4:17 gives me goosebumps all the time. THIS ist the sound I love about Eluveite... and I am glad they still have it. To be honest, I thought when Anna left that it will never be the same... I am happy to see I was wrong and I can listen to two great bands now.

I felt the same way, because songs like Call of the Mountains and Omnos are some of my favorites, so I was worried about what they would do for clean vocals.

Oh my goodness. This band is just everything. Very proficient musicians, very nice mix between the celtic music, and the metal, and boy, they rock. Just started listening to them, and now I can't stop.

Well, from my point of view, it just shows that Eluveitie's fanbase is very divided. I discovered this band a few months ago (with their song "The call of the mountains"), then I listened their songs of every "period" (from 2008 until now), and what I love about them doesn't have anything to do with their degree of "metal" of their songs. I love the variety of their subjects, of their themes. I love their ability to destroy stereotypes about metal, combining harp and flute with electrical guitars. Even without Anna, each song purposes new ideas. For instance, Lvgvs is one of my favourites even if it is more "folk" than "metal", simply because I enjoy its rhythm and melody.
Because no matter what a band can release, at least one group or people, will not be happy with it haha

Mhh, I don't know. Michalina didn't seem to contribute that much to "Evocation II" and "Rebirth" also lacks hurdy-gurdy-harmonies. It's one thing to learn an instrument and cover your favorite tunes by your favorite band but it's trickier to write your very own stuff and enhance your favorite band.

Did you not see the stuttering effect she did on the hurdy in this song? That's very unconventional and Michalina has done it before in her (non-Eluveitie) covers. She did indeed not contribute a lot to Evocation II, I will definitely give you that, but she gives a stand-out performance here.

GREAT WORK GUYS! You guys experimented a lot in this song, which should not go unnoticed, and I think it paid off! Since Ana departed this new singer has been doing really well, and I must say this is my favorite of hers. Just fantastic.👌👍 The second guitar solo was 10/10 and 3:30 gave me chills. Thank you Eluveitie for consistently making fantastic music.
I have loved Eluveitie since the EP days. You are my favorite band by all standards. So diverse, yet.... (no better word to describe but: metal and) musical perfectionists. I was so worried when many members quit after you fired the drummer, but you have found your sound again. Nothing but love for the song. You will forever be an inspiration. Celtic Darling will always be amazing as well. Nobody harnesses voice and hurdy like Ana.
Good luck, Eluveitie. You ARE the quintessential of folk metal. Nobody can mimic your sound without failure. I love each and every one of you and the new members as you continue your epic traditions. Rebirth is the perfect name to a new song of epic proportions from a new band following the same path after the hardships you have bridged. I will always follow you and support you.

Been on their concert a week ago, and it really was a powerful, amazing experience. They are not slowing down, but have even more energy then ever before. And what amazes me is, that we were able too hear each instrument, and at some point there were 9 of them :-) so it is a nice experience and since they are here every 2 years, can’t wait for next concert...
While i was fine with Eluveitie with Anna, but with Fabienne and Michalina and such sweet return to more heavy sound? I dont miss her at all. I really hope Eluveitie's next album would be like this single.
Goddamn I can't help but find the way the women headbang to be really smooth and how the lead female singer moves during the chorus to be incredibly hypnotic.
It's contrived from when Anna Murphy did that and now its coordinated which is awkward. It's like they're too self aware and trying too much to formulate a contrived essence of themselves. I don't know, something is off from before. There is something that was way more natural before Anna Murphy left and before she joined to when they started, but this newer phase something feels off to me.

This song is till my go to song. I maybe studying biology and medicine now and adopting homeless dog but I still feel the low life vibes. I also genuinely feel more comfortable around addicts and homless people that I ever will the majority of the population
They are the best folk metal band in my opinion
I love Fabienne's voice in this song, it perfectly "calms" down the "heavy" metal riffs, and gives a beautiful folk sweetness to it 😍
Except of the heavier parts of course, which are amazing too 😁
Am i one of the only people who honestly LOVE Fabienne's voice, she fits so well with the group. And i kinda like her better than Anna (lynch me now bitches! :P)

I prefer fabienne, she adds to the folkish, lyrical elements super well, I understand the people who like Anna, but I do prefer Fabienne in general :)
Been listening to these guys for... just about 10 years now. Finally got to see them in concert recently. It was absolutely surreal.
The drumming on this song is absolutely ferocious. Nevermind the the beauty of the folk instruments that I'm already used to
