I born in 2001.Eluveitie since 2002.I am also glad.Eluveitie is the best.
Yeah, I'm happy these instruments and genres still find way into today's latest music. It would be absolutely depressing to see it all lost forever to purely digital synthesized instrument production (nothing against many artists from those genres either). The authentic medieval instruments and earlier shall always live on in the mystic creativity of artists like those in this band.
But at the same time, it is the worst moment of humanity.

I'm beginning to think Anna quitting Eluveitie was a great thing. The new singer is rather good and is a great replacement for Anna. Also Anna went and formed Cellar Darling which is also a great band. So with Anna's departure, we kept one great band and got another great band.
Thank you for that. I'm gonna go and check that band out now. :)

Seen Fabienne Erni live and shes perfect entertainer, completelly enthusiastic with dancing and running all across the stage. I really god damn enjoyed the show in czech !

Ever since Evocation I was even anounced, Chrigel more than once stated clearly that it's a two-part project and that they will definetly continue it at the given time... but people don't seem to listen... :D

I had the good fortune to meet Anna, Merlin and Ivo after a Cellar Darling gig in Manchester last year - they're a lovely trio, Anna in particular; she certainly seemed to appreciate the sentiment when I said it was good to see them back in Manchester after several years (the last time was a double headliner with Epica back in 2015)
I think it worked for both of them.

This is incredible. Shows music is universal. An ancient language that only a dozen people know yet, it is still amazing.
I just love Fabienne. She has such a great voice, and her beauty is beyond words. The band did well with her.
What I love about the fandom of Eluveitie that sooo many are so thrilled about Fabienné and don't dispise her like other fandomes did with new singers.
I loved Anna's voice, but Fabienné is such a good singer which made me realy like the new songs and the "tone" of them.
It is because Fabienné's voice is actually more suitting to the band theme than the previous voice, this is one extraordinary case where changing the vocalist was actually upgrading the band sound, don't have nothing against Anna, but honestly this lady is a great adding to the band.

This is as eluveitie as it gets :D Especially Epona had so much vibes from "Ven" and "Spirit", in my opinion...
I don't know what people were expecting. The original announcement was that the new album was called Evocation II. Have they not heard Evocation I? Regardless, I'm glad that Eluveitie writes both folk metal songs and pure folk songs that are still dark in nature.
I like how even in their acoustic songs, their drummer goes hard as hell. If they even decided to make a metal version, he probably would barely change his parts.
Songs like this featuring rare languages are a rare priviledge to behold. Also why I love songs by Tyr sang in faroese! x
i'm a fan of them since the first album and i like the loud albums, but i think THIS song describes eluveities style as a folk metal band at its purest and most impressive core...i love it

Well, releasing something different after a big lineup change is an intelligent move. This is Eluveitie, the folk side is what many of us love and this is an album full of it, is something great to receive and must be appreciated.

I thought Eluveitie was dead when I heard that Anna Murphy was leaving the group. The news kind of shattered me as they are my favourite metal band. Well, I'm very happy to say that Epona and Lvgvs proved me wrong, very wrong. I'd been waiting for Evocation II to be released. This is everything I expected and more. The song Epona has been in my head for an entire week now. Thank you so much. Your new singer rocks. You'd better keep making music until I go deaf!

Ah, the good old Son ar C'histr has been finally reborn, recast and restored into its PRIMAL form!! Eluveitie forever!
For the anecdote the melody come from a Breton song create in 1929 by two young farmers, named "son ar chistr" ( "song of cider" in Breton language) :).
Isn't the melody a folk song (from Netherlands, I believe) called "Wat Zullen We Drinken"? If not, that riff is pretty much alike
@@MegaGandalf15 Wat Zullen We Drinken comes from Son Ar Chistr, popularised by Alan Stivell, but written by two young farmers (as Blevek said) from "Morbihan" which is part of Brittany, country situated on the western part of France. And yes, country. Used to be a Kingdom before France took it by force.

Je savais bien que je reconnaissais cet air! Par contre je crois bien que je la connais plus par "Sieben Tage lang" du groupe néerlandais Bots. Content de voir que c'est d'inspiration bretonne :) Son Ar Christr date de 1970, alors que Sieben Tage Lang est sorti en 1976.

I love that she has a similar but different style and sound in her voice so that she doesn't stray too far from that of Anna's singing. Nightwish had to make changes after Tarja left and Anette was okay but Floor amazingly compliments the band much better just as Fabienne does for Eluveitie. Amazing song.

Normal,it's in gaulish language,a celtic continental language spocken in Gaul (now France) and Helvetia (now Switzland) in antique times and which deasappered quickly after Julius Caesar's conquest of these 2 lands in 52 BC .

Amazing how you can recognize so many songs within this song it’s incredible. Personally Eluveitie is one of the bands I can listen no matter songs and no matter who’s singing. I love both singers and harsher vocals and it has a nice dynamic.
