You really don't have to worry about that... You're definitely not the only ones who shed tears over Ren. Ren always manages to touch people's souls. His music, his words, his authenticity... all of it touches and inspires. I'm 53 and have been listening to music most of my life. Of course there were many bands and artists that impressed and fascinated me. But actually I have to admit, no one like Ren. It's not even because he's the best guitarist, pianist, singer or performer of all time. That's not exactly what he is. But he is a lot of all of this and is always authentic and human. That makes him absolutely unique. For me he is the most inspiring artist I know.
I am so glad you were able to watch this. For those who really care for him, more than just enjoying his wonderful music, but really care for this beautiful, talented, cheeky human with a huge heart... well this is a really good example of why we love him. 💜☮

I know what pain is, I know how easily we are discarded from the health system and from those who have been elected to provide answers and solutions. I'm one of the "Thalidomide babies". My parents encouraged me to never give up. I went to school, then to college, graduated, worked as a tutor, translator, teacher and am still working for a public teaching institution. I travelled, dated, went out with friends, did most things young men do and learned to stay away from those that are a path to abyss. Then I learned that I need to accept Christ in my life so it would make sense. I was never recognised as a "thalidomider", because the doctor gave my mum a sample he received from the pharmaceutical company and never recognized the cause of my disabilities. So, I kept on trying to tell others that we all are, paraphrasing Ren, Human Beings, regardless (thank God!) of the diversity. Have been an active member of disability groups, attended meetings, spoke in conferences, gave my testimony to newspapers, radios, TV's, wrote letters to political parties, members of the government and MP's (in my country, Portugal, and those in Brussels...). Yes, Hope is the right word, otherwise we will only let things stay the same or worsen. I know that we have to do our best to use something bad to make a difference, even if it is a little one, and turn it into something good. Sorry for this long comment..., which you all the best my friends.
It's just amazing to see how wonderful people can be when they are intertwined with someone special. My fiance knew that much, and gave her hope and solace right until the end. My fiance passed away on March 1st after a yearlong battle with liver and kidney failure. Both of us got through the hard times by listening to Ren, and of course all of your wonderful reactions. It made the end a little bit easier to take. Thank you for revealing your heart as well as Ren has over the last year. I love you guys
