10 years later, kind of crazy to think i've been watching for 10 whole years... still one of my favorite creators, and all of his content is still so fun to rewatch!
Yeah but GOG takes old games, re-writes the code and makes them work for most modern OS. Take a look through the library of incredible games that you can play today on your Windows XP, Vista or 7 PC and tell me GOG don't deserve that money. I recently re-bought one of my fav games ever, Giants: Citizen Kabuto. My disc version doesn't work with Windows 7 but the GOG version does. The cost? Just under £4. If GOG didn't exist I wouldn't be able to play this game. This is why they deserve money.
Ah, Dungeon Keeper. I played that for ages. The most useful thing, once you had a training room, was to train 1 or 2 of the imps first. I remember when I first found out that it was possible to drop the imps into the training room and they'd level up, get faster and bigger and tougher, and at level 10 HOLY SHIT THEY TELEPORT! That was awesome.
Not to mention that high level imps actually have a good chance to mob-rush lower-level enemies and mob them to death, and take dungeon hearts over quite fast.
WashclothRepairman because Reapers bitch and whine about everything, they're constantly on the rag.. imps you can slap the hell out of all day long and they'll still lick your boots.
@@washclothrepairman9826 They are only good to thin out a hard keeper A.I. with Mass vampires, dragons and Bile Demons. It's not really worth keeping them for a long time.
THIS IS IT! THIS IS FINALLY IT! I've been looking for this game for about 10 years! Saw my friend playing it when I was back in school and I wanted it so much! Forgot it's name before I had the money to buy it. Now I've found it again! My life is complete!!
True enough, I'd love to see how he plays these games. When I play the first game, since I have indestructible walls I make a massive spinning labyrinth that you have to walk through hundreds of traps to get even halfway through. How about you guys? I like being sadistic, but rushing in to smash things definitely has it's own appeal.
bloodrunsclear Yeah, that's true. I despise Windows, but a lot of the old games require it. So I play on my iMac using Windows 7 with Boot Camp. DKII installed and ran no problem, even on my 64-bit install. The original DK will work on Mac if you get it from GOG or if you use Boxer or DosBox manually.
Adolf Hitler hey, that is an insult to the borg hitler! at least the borg use the technology and biological distinctiveness of species to their full potential. EA just chops off the heads of the helpless companies and watches them run around like headless chickens! btw did your paintings improve since 1914?
Adolf Hitler Its not likely. E.A. tried to compete to steam, and failed, and lets face it, valve is the biggest pc gaming company. It isn't going down anytime soon.
This video. It literally just made me smile the entire time. I haven't played Dungeon Keeper since I was a boy. All the great GREAT memories just started flowing back. Thank you so much for posting! Nostalgia :)
For all of you who miss this game and wish for one like it, you should check out War for the Overworld. It's effectively DK's successor, it even keeps the old narrator.
Just to put the MOBILE version of this game into perspective, NerdCubed...within 20seconds of opening the level, dug out what would have cost £70 on the mobile version! Within seconds...
I own Dungeon Keeper, and unlike other DOS games I own on a modern PC... This one is the only one I consistently play. It just is truly something very special to me. So interesting, and little things like possession make it that much more precious.
Kyle Gordon SUbterranian games do not dissapoint.Theyre working as hard as they can. And once they are succesful in doing what EA couldnt.EA will do eveyrhting in their power to absorb the company into their own greedy hands.
You guys should check out KeeperFX, a fanmade expansion of sorts. With rewritten code, which results in fixed bugs and new functions. KeeperFX has custom resulotion and it has Direct3D support much like the Gold Edition of the original. KeeperFX requires the normal game installed. There's several fanmade campaigns to go with it also.
Bullfrog was founded by Molyneux, which technically is now Lionhead. How times change. But if you like this and you want an updated version check out War for The Overworld
I love dungeon keeper. and i can hear that you are British. So here is a funny little fact for you. I have 2 young children and i notices a little while ago that the level narrator in Dungeon Keeper is the same voice actor as "Daddy Pig" from Peppa Pig

Holy horse shit. Ive been looking for this video on your channel for like over a couple months I remember watching it vaguely and I thought it was the greatest game ever holy fucking shit yes
Dungeon keeper, a stallion of a classic that made its own genre. What's to be said that hasn't already by the old faithful? A keeper without the deeper dungeons is a sad overlord however.
After watching you play this, I've got a game suggestion for you.... Black & White. You have a large creature, and can choose from I THINK (not sure if I remember right...) a monkey,a cow, or a tiger. This creature must be trained like you would a pet, and can be good, evil, or neutral (neutral is difficult to train them to...). You can also do things yourself as a giant godly hand. Your objective is to take care of your village, and do the occasional quest that pops up. Oh, and you (Cont.)
It says in the wiki that notch was inspired by dungeon keeper. So yeah, dk was here first and mc was inspired by it. And by inspired I don't mean copied.
War for the Overworld is a pretty good indie revival of the game. It has basically all of these features, but a lot more features. It's amazing and I love it, partly because of love this game.
The wave of nostalgia I got when I heard that *jet engine* in the background
Literally my child hood
Yep

Its free for a limited time in "On the house" promotion by Origin (EA).

Oh my God
Worgen4ik Too bad Origin is a broken piece of shit, with shady plugins and chance of malware.
I find myself coming back here often
Ayo?
The corona era of the world is taking me back to a simpler time
I know it's a little old of a video, but would you suggest picking this up on GOG? :)
Pick up DK2 instead. It's also available on GOG for about the same price and it's better in pretty much every way.
CueBall909 opinion is not fact mate
DK2 is not for Mac unfortunately :/

I was so happy when Wizardry 8 and Jagged Alliance 2 finally came out for win and Mac XD
I'll look into a bridge program though if DK2 is good :)
i don't know why but i just love coming back to this video and watch it again
Poor bullfrog. They got absorbed into EA.
Glariey Smith So, just absorbed into EA... xD shut up, it made me laugh.
