Cute
I made a triangular shaped one for g'son last summer and I stuffed it with that cellophane sheets that flowers usually come wrapped in. When his sister was a baby years ago and was very cranky in the car beside me on a 4 hour ride home from picking me up at the airport. We stopped at IKEA first and my daughter bought a couple plants. I was at a loss what to entertain an 8mnth old crying baby with. I tried everything until I grabbed the cellophane cone three plants were inserted into. It was a godsend. Happy baby for the rest of the way home. She loved the noise it made and threw it all over the backseat. Sooooo I stuffed the toy with it for her baby brother. It's great even comes out of the wash okay and the annoying squishy noise is just what the baby ordered. Hahaha
These will be great as a fidget item for seniors who pick at their clothes and their skin - thank you for this handy craft 🦋🇨🇦
I hand sewed a set of these (minus the sensory items) 35 years ago when my son was a baby. Your sensory additions are genius. Your explanations are spot on. This is the second video of yours that I’ve watched and I’ve already learned several things. Well done.
Clever idea. I’m also needing a baby gift soon.😉 Thanks for sharing your project.
This is adorable.
Added to my sewing list, you have such a knack for explaining how to do each step. 👏👏👏👏👏❤️
Aw thank you Darla!
I’m going to make one of these! Thank you for another great tutorial!
The block turned out very well. I added crinkle plastic behind one side and rattle pods inside. So proud I made this!
Another cute item to add to my 'do it soon' list - thanks 😍
My 9 month old grandson loves the ones i made for him. I even took a plastic easter egg and put a jingle bell in it then hit glued the seam of the egg to insure no water got in it when i washed them. Now he swings it around to the Hey Bear music.
What a great idea!
I can't wait to make these, we are having a baby wave at church!
This is so cute! 🥰 My local thrift store often has a good selection of fabric, ribbons and other crafting goodies 😊 so that may be a good way for people to get some of these supplies for inexpensive if they don’t have a stash yet. 😊
Darling project and such a well done tutorial! Thank you for being so clear and showing what you were doing the whole way through.
Darling! Thanks for the detailed video. I followed all of your tips and my tiny box is precious! It matches the nine patch quilt I made for new Great Niece, Peyton. I tied a small yellow rubber teething ring shaped like a pineapple to one of the sides.
WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY, PEYTON 🥰
Congrats on your new great niece!
Oooh my gosh...this is great , can't wait to make some of these. Thank you
Thank you for this video. I made it for my granddaughter who is due in the spring. You're instructions are so good and I am now an avid watcher of your videos xx
Great instruction, especially for those corners.
I wondered how to make the seams. Now I know. Thank you.
I can't wait to make one for my granddaughter. I'm sure I'll have to keep the seam ripper handy! Thanks for sharing this.
Brilliant
So cute!!
I just finished my first baby toy. Thank you ever so much for this tutorial. Very well explained and honestly I loved the whole process..you made it super easy for us. Thank you 🙏 ❤❤
I can't believe I just made one of these! I am a very novice sewist, I have watched this video at least four times and purchased your pattern and instructions from your shop. I watched one last time before going in to sew my squares together and I got NERVOUS. However when I got going it went great! I'm going to take it apart to fix some mistakes I made, but thanks so much for this!
Way to go!!
Great idea and so much fun! Thanks for the clear instructions!
Thanks! Adorable toy made and gifted! Very pleased - thanks for all the great tips and clear instructions
Thanks for the extra tips for creating those perfect corners, great tutorial.
Nice, clear instructions.
Very easy to follow the video, it was very helpful. You explained how to do the corners very well.
So cute ❤️
Thank you so much!!!🌺
Instead of the wooden ring, I'm using a silicone rolling pin guide ring. Softer and better for teething babies.
Omg I LOVE this!!! Thanks for the vid. Going to make one for my daughter 🥰
Can you share a video of your hand-sewing quilting blocks? I just learned about this technique ( crazy quilting), and I would love to know more about it!! Thank you
I love crazy quilting! I’ll put that on my list for a video 👍🏻
Great idea - thank you for a really good explanation on the box corners. Off to my stash to make one! (or two)
Absolutely LOVED this, thank you so much for the tutorial and the easy explanations~! 🥰
Thanks for the idea 💡! ⅓⁷⅔
Thank you, great video
Thank u so much! So helpful
thank you for tutorial . Just made one for my Great Grandson who is due to be born in 12 days time x
Congratulations in advance, that's so exciting!
I’ve seen trims and odds and ends craft/ sewing things at thrift stores. Could be a good way to use them. Hmmm. As if I’ve needed another reason to thrift things. 😂
Haha! You DO need them.
Never mind babies, these would be great sensory blocks for adults 😊❤️
Especially those with dimentia.
Very cute
Just found out that I am going to be a great grandma that on my to do list
Congratulations!!
Love It!
Ohhhh that is so fantastic! I’ve always wanted to make as a gift, but just never wrapped my head around it😝. I’ve included it on my wannado list.❤️😀
ahh, yes~ thank you for this
A bit long a video but nevertheless a very cool wee bubby toy. Thank you for sharing & I'm going to give it a crack for my bubbby boy to be!
Oh my goodness. I just went to Michael’s online and I am in the Phoenix Az area and the scrap ribbon is $10 a bunch! 😮 crazy
I've only ever bought it with a coupon! It really is a LOT of ribbon, and I use it for all kinds of things.
Wow!
Would have put bells in the center
These are really sweet. Do you need to wash the different laces and ribbon since the baby will inevitably chew on them?
I hadn’t though about it, but I suppose you could hand wash it gently with baby detergent once it’s made, that might be easier than washing each ribbon.
@PinCutSew I just thought about it. There has to be dye in the ribbon, especially. Just curious if anyone had washed it. Thank you so much for replying. 🌹
Hi! This looks great!
Is the finished product washable? ...and if so, how?
I think I’d hand wash it if possible, but the machine should be fine on occasion when needed. And I would air dry.
Bagus kak
This is such a cool project! are the blocks machine wash and dry?
I think I’d hand wash, but it could handle the machine if necessary 👍🏻
We love your videos. Please tell me, where do you get your labels from?
I would like to sell my goods at the market so I think it will look professional with a label.
Thank you so much
I’ve gotten them from Etsy, Hobby Lobby and Amazon. I’ve never had custom ones made, but I’d like to!
These are really cool! Thank you for making this video ❤ Happy Sewing ♥️ 🧵 🪡
So cute!!
