- In the season 3 episode "The Big Jump", school principal Mr. Conklin (Gale Gordon) plans to jump off the school roof...for a civil defense demonstration. However, he gets cold feet and tries to get every other male teacher to take his place, with no results. The last resort...our Miss Brooks. Will she take the leep?

I have listened to old-time radio shows for years, but I just started listening to this show lately and it's really grown on me in a hurry.
She is remarkable! Wonderful actress!
I am old and used to watch this on tv with my parents and loved it. Eve Arden was wonderful.
I was born in 1946 and watched this show. Minerva the cat's meow sounds like it's done by Walter Denton 😄
I was born the day this first aired. I also remember watching the reruns in the very late 50's early 60's. Yes, my memory does go that far back.
I always kept a count of all of Miss Brook's sarcastic comments. Eve Arden was a real pro at the art of delivery of sarcastic remarks.
She was just brilliant!
This is my favorite show
A new veiwer , and appreciator of , " our Miss Brooks " . 💐💐🥳
Richard (Dick) Crenna, Walter Denton, was Luke in The Real McCoys…another hilarious show!! The voice he uses here is so young and goofy! Love these.
I like the way she smiles and nods at the end of some of her comic lines.she is THE champ!
None better!
I love that they kept the radio show's entire cast when they did the TV show; I wish Fibber McGee had been able to do that. Wild bith how different some look from what I pictured over the decades.
when they moved fibber to tv, they changed the entire format
it's why it wasnt a success
Always loved Eve Arden
Without a doubt the best oldies
Eve arden is so attractive and a great actress
Many episodes of this series were photographed by one of the greatest cinematographers in film history. Filmed METROPOLIS, KEY LARGO and THE GOLEM among many many other classics.
yes: his name was Karl Freund
I was between 1 to 2 yrs old when this was airing on TV .
Did you watch this show with your mom?
I used to watch "Our Miss Brooks" all of the time, and have been watching re-runs on TV, but I don't remember Walter Denton always coming by to give Miss Brooks a ride to school. I don't know how or when this became written into the script. I also don't remember Mr. Boynton and Miss Brooks ever calling each other by their first names. Very funny show.
I can't remember a time when she didn't accept a ride to school with Walter, her car was always in the shop
This episode aired the day after I was born!!! 😮
Hmmm ... I guess that was meant a tribute to the former "Mr. Boynton" at 17:10
it is voiced by Richard crenna who also voices MacDougal the frog.
And Walter denton!
crenna may have been able to sell his youthful voice on radio, but here he looks ever bit the 20 year old
I’m only 56 years old and this is a very good show anything this garbage that’s out today
I don't think this was aired in 1955. The copyright at the end of the show is 1957. MCMLVII
Richard Crenna has to be the oldest looking teenager in the history of television 😂
Why couldn't Richard Creena have spoke in a normal tone instead of having to elevate his voice so high?
@@jimharding3639 yea but I can imagine Richard must have gotten tired of this after a while!
@@calvinjackson8110 because he was portraying a TEENAGER
@@calvinjackson8110 not as long as those paychecks from a #1-rated tv show were rollin in 😊
I imagine the long time fans of the radioshow wouldve been disappointed at not having him keep Walter's voice.
Urkel must have heard Walter’s voice as inspiration for his! LOL
Lol Walter looks OLD enough to be a teacher NOT a teenager show did NOT transfer weel to TV
30 years later Gail Gordon was doing that stuff with Lucile Ball!
You mean 20 years later.
lucy wanted gordon to be fred mertz
Not like this show . Gordon was top of his game here on the Lucy show he phoned it in .
