I've always loved Eve's distinctive voice. I also love the decor of that era and although my condo building is not vintage, I have redone the interior to look like the coziness of the 1940's-1950's.
Hey thank you to whoever uploaded thisq I love this show. You don't find a lot of people in their '20s that like stuff like this but I guess I got an old soul 🤭
Joan Crawford was so sympathetic when Eve Arden was contracted to do this show. She thought that Ms. Arden would be slaving away many, many hours and for almost no money. Arden pulled her contract out of her purse and Crawford was amazed at how lucrative the show would be! Arden owned some of the show and when interviewed she said she only worked three and a half days per week. ❤
When they said in the dream they were married 25 years, the episode aired in 1955. They couldn't have even imagined how clothing and music styles would have evolved between 1955 and 1980, so they just stayed where they were.
I wish I can locate that episode where it was a scene where the older lady was listening on the phone line Mrs Brooks was talking to someone and she said she's probably listening again to the person she was on the phone with or something like that and the older lady said came in on the phone and said ( That's a dirty lie 😭 😂 ). I would love to locate that episode I have no clue which one it is but any who ..
Incredibly, while this was being filmed, some U.S. school districts would not hire married female teachers. Even when married women were more accepted and hired, they had to give up their jobs if they became pregnant. By the way, note the absence of the word "pregnant" in this episode; its omission was par for the time.
The 50’s were a wonderful time when everything was good and all the people were free and happy. What a difference from today! Oh, don’t I wish that I could live back then.
This show is a click because they look good together aside from the funny lines of course. In the Eve Arden show, there was no chemistry with the potential love interest. Probably why it wàs only for 1 season. Just too bad. I love Eve Arden.

Me-TV used to play the show every morning at 5:00. I will never forgive them for discontinuing that practice!!!!
What a great display of talent with this cast! Playing all the characters in a dream sequence was a riot, and so well done!
Eve Arden was always one of my favorite actresses. I've heard of this show. Always wanted to see it. Thanks for posting it.
I watch this show most everyday at 4am...When you talk about the great funny women of T V. You can't leave Eve Arden she was one of the greats.RIP
Thank you for this episode of Our Miss Brooks. Hopefully it's the first of a long list of episodes to come. Thanks
This video was published a year ago but I remember I put it in a schedule to sent this out in the public
I also have two episodes left of The Millionaire which I'll release it in some day

Joan helped Eve adopt her children.
Love this! Thanks for posting. One of my all time favorites!

Just so cute when she is called Mrs Boynton by Harriet and Walter.
Very funny show! Thank you for posting it 😊

They did an astounding job of depicting what 1980 would be like.
This was great!!!

so funny watching crenna playing a 30 year old teenager
Yeah. He did look old. I like how in this series Walter Denton, the student, was always hanging out with two teachers and the principal.
Originally telecast on March 11, 1955.

I'm surprised they even said obstetrician.

Hello again!
Hello!
I googled it and it said that they did get married in the series, but I can't find the episode.
