I was born in 1966.. This is all new to me
This americans version of on the bus they didn't Have americans version blakey
"Skipperrrrr!"
If Norman Lear had produced this show it may have been a hit.
The steam shovel! 😂
Olive has the same clothes and hair style as in England!
Olive has the same clothes and hair style as in England!
Olive has the same clothes and hair style as in England!
In America Stan has no hair and Arthur has hair?
❤😂🎉👍👌
The Skipper with a mustache looks like Chef Boyardee!
"Well I never!" "I don't doubt it!"
I have been watching all his stuff lately on RUclips, Hollywood squares, and his 1976 Halloween special was great, I never saw this show when I was a kid, my family watched something else, I am now seeing it for the first time....
Uncle Arthur, Mr. Whipple & the Skipper!
I remember this show! Thanks for posting.
I just grabbed it off the shelf without looking...the same way I got you!! 😂 This show is so cringeworthingly over the top, but some of Paul's lines are hilarious!
LOVE this show! They should reboot this, the only thing is that these comedic shoes will be hard to fill 💋
I remember this when i was a kid.
Great! Merci'!
Seriously?!?! Secured to a... a... towel rack!?!?!
That`s a nice.
Pat Conway is a jewel!
Anson williams was already 23, looks like he's playing 17 or 18
Could you imagine if they made 2 1/2 men in the 1970s with Jack Nicholson and Paul Lynde and Danny Bonnaduce ? That show back then would of been a juggernaut of a hit. Paul Lynde and Jack Nicholson are very similar. I think they would have haf great chemistry on screen Nicholson as the straight serious with Lyndes comic timing.
Those of us who liked Jack Lord, even years before Stoney Burke and Hawaii Five-O, can see the star quality about him. Good looking, a fine actor, with a real screen presence. This is a more complex story line than the usual MILLIONAIRE scripts, and Lord carries it off well, being completely believable as well as touching...
The set looks like the inlaws
This funny show is on par with *ALL in the FAMILY* . Paul Lynde and Carroll O'Connor, dealing with their no-load son-in-laws, is hilarious.
I love this show! I too noticed the similarities with this show and All in the Family. I wished it had a longer run.
Oiginally telecast on January 7, 1959. Robert Leslie Bellem and Whitney Ellsworth previously wrote various episodes of "THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN" (eith Ellsworth as producer).
The background of the house is all blue that would drive me crazy..
❤😂🎉
Oh Howie
Potsy who later stars on Happy Days, in this episode appears as Jimmy, PL’s youngest daughter’s friend.
I can't stand that little girl, and she's been in so many tv shows and movies!
If he doesnt want his wife I'll take her
If he's not careful his story could be narrated on 48hours
Is that the actor JAMES GRIFFITH. One of my favorites growing up.. this show was so cool in the 1950s. I watched every episode.
Yes that is James. We worked often especially in episodes of various television shows.
I really liked James Griffith, too. Class actor.
I had a bad time in NYC in 2007 because they didn't have this show at the TV and radio museum. BOOOOOOOOOO. Thanks RUclips. Never need to leave the house again.
@23:08...The "Skipper" still knew how to bellow out his famous *Giliigan's lsland* "doops".
Paul Lynde is fab!!
Onslow of the British sitcom Keeping Up Appearances seems to be very similar to Stanley .
I googled it and it said that they did get married in the series, but I can't find the episode.
I actually found the series on dvd
This show was criticized at the time and through the years. But watching this, other than the over-done flirting scenes by Paul, this had some good writing. I think it could have lasted if they didn't go overboard with some of Paul Lynde's scenes. It was awkward watching him look at that young girl's breasts. Nevertheless I laughed a lot, especially the last scenes.
When they said in the dream they were married 25 years, the episode aired in 1955. They couldn't have even imagined how clothing and music styles would have evolved between 1955 and 1980, so they just stayed where they were.
I actually think that he looks better bald 😊.
The best show ever
The Mayor was on Seinfeld 😂
Of COURSE he was, ya IDIOT!! Are you stealing from me??* *Not YOU, just riffing on the old man shut-in character he played on the Seinfeld episode...he was hilarious
Love their backyard patio and pool.
It probably didn’t last because nobody took Paul as a father figure seriously. Also the slapstick didn’t work; Paul was a dialogue comedian.
That was The Episode Of Dennis The Menace
