... thanks ... great tv show ... lotsa luck to you on you ch ... you got a new sub from me 😆😝 ...
Why this show didn't last more than one season is a mystery to me; The writing is outstanding, the acting is spot on, and it's got Dom Deluise starring!
I remember listening to this show when I was in bed as a child (I could hear the TV from my bedroom and I had to go to bed early, so I lied in the dark listening to the shows and imagining what was going on).
Now that I'm finally seeing it, I see everyone is exactly how I pictured them, only I always pictured them living in an apartment
.
I was 11 when this show first aired in 1973. I remember it well.
Boy i remember this show we used to. Laugh so hard. His sister with glassess.reminded me of my cousin Nancy rest her soul.
Great show, remember watching it as a kid. Never found an audience and lasted one year.
I love this show and The Paul Lynde Show and mad because both shows are funny and didn’t get much air time and should’ve but I’m glad I’m able to see them and enjoy them here👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Hello I absolutely love this show it warms my heart it makes me remember back in the my whole family all together in the South Bronx
I love Kathleen Freeman! ❤❤❤
She was a gem. The night I saw her in The Full Monty on Broadway she actually slipped and fell. They had to bring down the curtain. But she recovered quickly and did the rest of the show to tremendous applause.
I love this kind of comedy!📺
This was a US adaptation of the UK sit-com On the Buses.
Sheriff rosco p. coltrane Wouldve made the perfect American 'Blakey', Who's character was omitted from the u.s. version.
Where's Blakey the inspector?
And the buses?
@@ACNC1 Yeah possibly, tho its widely acknoledged that Blakey was a minor character in the writing but was made major purely through Stephen Lewis's performance and add libbing, i feel they either just had no1 in mind there who could carry it off the same or It could also (more likely) be that such a role didnt exist the same stateside (im no expert on how american bus companies were run ie yes there would be bosses but would they be out in the field so to speak?) Just like there an no conductors so again there is no "out in the field" relationship with the Jack character so hes just another driver and thats why there are no buses as he would just be out on his own with only passengers, it was one of the dynamics that limited the US show much more :)
Does anyone else remember that Dom DeLuise also did the voice of the landlord Mr. Evictus in that splendid Hanna-Barbera cartoon series "The Roman Holidays" in 1972-1973? The Holiday family and their pet lion Brutus lived in the Venus De Milo Arms, and Mr. Evictus was often snooping around trying to find some reason to evict them. The cartoon only lasted for one season, and some thought that it wasn't as good as "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons". But I liked it, and so did my Mom. Her favorite character was Brutus, but she passed away suddenly at the age of 45 before the series left the air. 😢
TY for posting these. They are GREAT.Im surprised this show wasn't far more popular. Many tnx.
Hi there Michael! Unfortunately, I believe this show wasn't more popular and didn't last for longer than one season because it faced stiff competition on Friday nights, where it was up against "The Six Million Dollar Man" on ABC, and "Good Times" on CBS ..Hope that helps a little, and take care! Ms. Elizabeth 📺📼📀📺📼📀
😆Thank you so much!! I just discovered this show on Antenna TV in 2018. It's not the funniest show but it's silly and I love their house! 👍🏾🙂
I love this show
I was like 7 when I saw a couple of these episodes so some of these jokes flew right over my head.
I couldn't remember the name of the show. Though I did remember that it started with the Letter L. And I also thought the title was one word like Lazalack. Then I went on Google and searched one season shows from the 1970s. I found it!
I remember this show. Autumn 1973. I was 13 and living in Indiana at the time. I thought it was pretty funny at the time.
I use to watch this show on Antenna TV Saturday Nights after The Paul Lynde show back in 2019-2020. I liked that Saturday Night Line Up: Betwiched, I Dream of Jeannie, Paul Lynde Show & Lotsa Luck.
I loved the Paul Lynde Show and Lotsa Luck... Paul and Dom Deluise were my favorite comedians in the seventies!
The mother was the voice of Mama Crackshell on DuckTales and Peg Bundy's unseen mother.
80s DuckTales. Sorry, forgot I have to specify on that one now.
To me she'll always be the Penguin from Blues Brothers

Duck Tales - weee-oo!
Kathleen Freeman was a popular character actor for decades.
And she was hilarious in the Dragnet movie.
Best show on T.V.
Classic Dom deluise.
I watched this when new. I never thought Dom was fat. Hell, on several eps of The Honeymooners, Jackie didn't look all that fat. This show would be considered bigoted today, even though Dom's mom was talking about her own self being Jewish. I recall this episode from when new.
I remember this show and enjoyed it. How sad and scary to realize that Dom DiLuise, who was known for his comedy *and* his weight, looks relatively svelte compared to the obese people of today.
This show is the precursor to married with children and other sitcoms. Dom is the Al Bundy character while his mom on the show plays the Peggy role minus the marriage part of course. Other than a not so memorable theme song, this show had potential to be moderately successful if they had developed the characters farther. It still has funny dialogue after all these years.
Even Kathleen Freeman played the voice of Peggy’s mother. Likely not a coincidence.
Dom is Constanza
13:27 Lotsa Luck Reference
Amazing that they would use that phrase.
Carl reiner was a genius like Mel brooks.
Google were in the hell is my dam library
Hmmm Carl Reiner as producer
I can see why this didnt last long.... its like trying to do an american version of Benny Hill or any of the 'Carry On' Movies... the comedy doesnt cross over very well.... but the audience seem to love it
I think it's canned laugher
This show was blue collar New York before more gentrification.
Happy ground hogs Day.
I found out Leto was also panoramic name regards
Saalok ji jjang haha.
Laugh track is too subtle. Needs to be louder and more incessant.
Sarcasm?
Can you post The episode Olives Present?
Do you have any episodes of " Our House" from the late 80s?
I don't think I do
Released 10 September 1973
I think they might not shown Olive's Present and just head on to The Bare Facts.
Yeah maybe but I'll see next week
Do you know that this Sunday is daylight savings time so in the schedule there's no lotsa luck
Actually it appeared as in the Dennis the Menace, when I saw the other cities they all had lotsa luck on 1:00am
Ahhhhhh🫶🏽☺️

I notice most successful TV show has that iconic theme song that everyone remembers.
All in the Family.
Hawaii 5-0.
Adams Family.
Beverly Hillbilly.
Dragnet.
Alfred Hitchcock.
Johnny Carson.
Bewitched.
Barney Miller
Mission Impossible.
So on….
Just about everyone knows the theme song of those shows.
That said the theme song for this show was bland.
The show Lotsa Luck
is a funny show.
With the right theme song
this show could of lasted longer
than one season.
