Can't wait for the looks at the servo when Benny's putting air in his fuel tank.
Came to write the same comment 😂
"You won't believe it mate, this bloke at the servo - his ute runs on air!"
or at knollywockas in sydney, my best cunt said it was sick
@@AfferbeckBeats .. seems legit .. i've seen less believable adverts .. lol
Can someone video this in action please? Definitely a meme in the making 😂🤣
‘Please don’t steal my wheels.’ 😂
I put airbags on my land cruiser - a mate gave me the best tip ever, get a set of staun deflators and set them to a daily pressure. That way after you have aired up for a load and need to get back to normal pressure, you can just wind them on and get back to a known pressure for normal driving. I bought a set of 4, so I have two set for 40PSI as a towing load with my camper, and 2 set at 20PSI for daily driving without the camper.
That’s a great tip, thanks.
Man you have good timing, I almost had to go do stuff, thanks for the great procrastination content!
We try :D
The valve stem location is awesome, love the neatness and stealthyness, awesome
Thank you :D the kit comes with tonnes of line also.
EL Zed is swapping a Bara into his fire sale Shelby GT350, raises lemon squash to the incoming phone call :D great video.
Watching it :D
Probably the best thing he's done on that channel since pissing off his attention-seeking, fame-hungry, unfaithful ex, and he's only moved forward since doing that!
Got a link?
8:00 I can already picture someone at the servo wondering why on earth you're inflating your fuel tank 😂
I like the work station drinks holder 😆
Love Little upgrades like this. The wheels are a cool flex, don't apologize!
quarantine game. take a drink every time benny says "so"
At add to my stupid comment, I did this before to my GTO (USA) with the air ride brand. Help the sagging springs in the rear completely changed the ride for the better.
Brilliant idea putting the fill caps in where the gas lid is. Stealth install for sure haha. This is a great bit of kit though. You'll definitely feel the difference towing a heavy setup and it's a big help.
I once saw dark argents on a maserati, ferrari wheels on a falcon seems reasonable
If Ferrari wheels are 5x114.3 with 30mm offset, I want them for my Mustang.
@@Mclaren302 "What? It's still a horse, close enough"
Love the fuel door install of the valves...very cool
I see that you too have experienced the sweet nectar of the gods, Mango Loco.
Fantastic putting the valves next to the fuel filler. Nice clean and neat. Love the wheels and your steel capped Dunlop Volleys!
Gotta love free sponsor stuff.
justgjt ‘free’
Just wanted to say thank you to Benny I'm just about to start a FG turbo build n you have been really helpful before I've even started.
Thanks mate, I appreciate it.
@@BennysCustomWorks no thank you keep up the good work mate awesome straight forward explaining 👍, especially with fg barra motor now I know to relocate the head temp sensor before I put the barra back in because I'm going a haltech computer to run the turbo setup you just saved me a big headache if it failed or broke down the track
Interesting video, thanks Benny.
I have a Honda CRV, and use it as the work vehicle for my second-hand bookshop. I also often go away on trips towing a camper trailer. With the weight of the books continually in the back, and the camper hooked up, blind Freddy could see the rear suspension was sagging badly. the attitude of the car was very nose up, and driving around in the wet was pretty sketchy as the geometry was altered enough to both move and reduce the front tyre contact patches. My first thought for a fix was airbags - but upon further inspection I found the CRV has struts in the rear (with the shock through the centre, as struts do), so airbags sadly weren't an option. On the advice of some of the very helpful guys in the CRV owners forums I went with 1 inch raised heavy duty springs and aftermarket gas shocks to replace the stock oil units. Rather than stiffening the rear up too much I found it tightened the feel of the rear up just the right amount. Apparently the factory springs are a tad too compliant, and the stock shocks (being your basic oil-filled units) have bugger all rebound so this was a good fix. I can now cart the books and tow the camper without any sign of sagging or wallowing around.
Just writing all this for anyone else who finds that airbags aren't an option, for whatever reason.
Cheers
P.S. How archaic are those Falcon utes still using leaf springs. Bloody hell. Even my bloody camper trailer has coil springs. Ferrari wheels and leaf springs, lol.
This falcon series has help with my build a lot! Keep it up!
Put a similar kit on my Toyota and with 95psi it brought a 600kg load back level. Quick and easy, great video!
I've had the commercial rear springs in my xr6 for years now, best thing I've done. I do have a constant load though due to carrying all my tools and equipment around.
You are def gonna find it on bricks out the back of Campbeltown . Nice wheels 👌
The wheels look great! I especially like the way the wheel fills out the rear wheel arch.
With those staggered wheels,
I think you’ll find the Ute will now “track” while you’re driving.
It’s had staggered wheels the whole time I’ve owned it, no tracking .
Having done a lot of air shock installations, we put a T fitting to run both out of one valve so that they both come up in unison. Of course if you need different weight distributions left and right this is fine. Just makes it easier to have a uniform lift. All the best from Canada
Dennis Bailey joining the bags together means less stability in cornering, the load will put uneven pressure on the bags during cornering and the bag under higher load will pressurise the lesser loaded bag forcing even more dynamic shift .
@@BennysCustomWorks With heavier loads I can see that making a difference. But I think it was more ease-of-use I'm referring to rather than performance. Very good point though.
Rear bags are the best. Most people end up putting em in their trucks in North America as the new half ton trucks have such soft suspension from the factory.
Nice ride and now safe with a load, has always been the downfall of the XR6 ute, nice addition.
Invisible caravan action, LOL
Nice bit of kit an a well thought through install.
The Ferrari wheels on the Falcon look the goods. They fill the rear guards nicely.
Woah it's now a Fordrrari. Now that's what I call a classy bogan mobile
Barrari
Fordarri
That T-shirt is SICK
I like those wheels
It's refreshing to see someone do the final torque by hand instead of ugga dugga the wheel nuts up the whole way
awesome Benny. Shoulda got it outside for a nice side shot of the wheels in place.
$4k is pretty cheap too as if you could find a full set in AU they'd be asking a chunk more I bet.
airbag helper springs are the best thing ever .. truck rides comfortably normally , but when you load it up it still rides nicely .... wheels worth more than the truck ?? rock on sir , or should that be roll on sir
That’s a nice looking Falconari you got there...
Great wheels, good to know they fit falcons
Just to be clear, this is a GVM upgrade, right?
yes, he said 8 times you can tow 5000kg with them installed
Came to confirm the same thing.
I have no idea, did he mention anything related to that!?!?
11:29 hes says its not a gvm upgrade
I’ve got a big whoosh to carry, am hoping this will help.
Come on guy, Ferrari wheels and no rolling footage???
Where do you buy the bags from if I'm up here in Brisbane
David Bell sparesbox ship aus wide, check out the link in description :D
Watch the video on your phone, put your phone on a flat surface on it's back, and then just spin the phone round and round ;)
Ade Matthews lmao! You win this comment thread
i actually like the wheels. The entertaining part is the replacement value for one with ferrari tax is probably the sum total of a barra ute
Love the 488 wheels, as you say it's neat to have something different, do something a little unique and they actually somehow suit the Falcon look
Great work again mate, and those wheels fill out the rear guards just nice.
The Ferrari wheels are boss! Nice touch 👌
Word of advice Benny, put some split tube over the lines, they will rub through and it’ll be a Kent of a time and place as per Murphy’s law.
To be clear, is it a gvw upgrade? Thanks for the content Benny your presentation and editing is coming along very nicely. Top notch
Says multiple times that it is not
Now i have to delete my comment, beat me by 45mins. Well done sir

@@CyberBeatAustralia I'm Canadian btw. Our sense of humour is dry like yours
@@mikehotchkiss8975 No don't blame Canada for your lack of humour!
Benny killing it with skills, Gian killing it with the edits and tunes. You know what I'm gonna ask? What's that tune Gian? Could you put it in description for future vids. Always good tunes!
These airbags are something that I should get. I've got a workhorse VU Ute that does much the same as your car and that would make a world of difference. (Also I thought it needed to be able to tow more so I'ma LS swap it for more towing capability)
‘Towing capability’
@@BennysCustomWorks yeah nah, I mean skids, 😂
Awesome videos bro. Keep it up =) loving the work done to the cars.
The easiest way to make Ford fans say "hell yeah" and piss off every single Ferrari purist in 5 seconds.
Thanks for my elegy, my favorite car
Nice plate!
Ferrari wheels on a Ford. That is pretty darned cool. Amazed the bolt pattern works or did the hubs need re-drilling? Either way I bet the ute looks awesome now.
I was expecting a small compressor install ! I used to drive a tilt n slide wrecker that had bag assist which was inflated via an onboard electric compressor, that was self adjusting & was controlled by the actual level of the bed.
I just installed a kit like that in a transit. You can get a compressor kit to compliment that kit.
It was a pretty easy install
Yes I was thinking of going onboard management but the Oneplus cordless compressor works well doing the bags, small volume and low pressure means they are to pressure quickly :D
@@BennysCustomWorks the compressor is a little noisy but it also install pretty quick compared to the bags
wild idea bro love it!!
I've only just noticed the BCW plates.
Are they vanity only or actual plates that happen to have your channel initials on them?
Works a treat either way!
Also digging the Ferrari wheels, smart move on finding out they fit your ute!
Great video. How is the ride with and without load? I imagine it would be smoother?
This is sick!
Nice wheels !
wish we had modern Utes in the states.
Love the shirt bro
I got myself an invisible 5th wheel caravan to eliminate the 'invisible caravan action'. On a serious note tho, do the Ferrari wheels have a load limit and does that limit match what you're after, Mr Mechanical Stig?
Lol, "they are insured.... Please don't steel my wheels"
Hey Benny love the content , is there an airbag kit for ta22 celicas, I'm in Ireland 👍
Sweet as bro! Is that your 7pin hanging down? I redid mine recently, 2nd time
You could've had the second stage of the leaf springs upgraded and reset so when loaded it still sits level, and still avoiding the ride of heavy duty leafs.
Don’t know if I missed it but what’s a good brand and where to buy the ab kit? Oh sparesbox... my bad to fast on the comment, your trailer plug dangles like my dangly one.
Yeah mate , check out www.sparesbox.com.au/bcw
Would love to have these Ford FGs or Holden Commodores i sweden
100 PSI in the bags replacing the bump stop. So how much do you have to reinforce the chassis to stop it bending on a new fulcrum point ?
So essentially what you're saying is it's an upgrade kit 🤔😉
Any reason you didn't go with the old style air shocks instead of the airbag setup?
It doesn't put the weight back on the front wheels though, you need Springer bars on the trailer to move the weight back on to the front wheels
Give her a wash Benny
Hi Ben, just wondering what your best time down the quarter mile in the double unicorn is? Videos online show it at 12.50ish? I have a stagea I'm swapping a turbo LS into, I'm curious what it might do. Cheers
Dadul Ludad best so far is 12.0
Remember kids, you can always slip it in there and pump it up if you have to
😂
I've watched Nik Blackhurst fab so many captive thread brackets that the imperial-sized self-tapping bolt is traumatising.
Yeah boi 👌🏾 keep it up.
I wonder if you need to change the shocks to a stiffer type to match the bags?
Swap the caps out for some FG caps. Make it super confusing.
Grate video
When is Sparesbox getting parts for Stageas :o
I see this car on bricks in the future lol!
Yeah sick, hows the IS200 going?
20% off at sparesbox storewide until 24/05/20 - got some new bilsteins for my ute :) - no I don't work for them I just order parts 'cause they come quick.
I've ordered parts from them, and it took over a month, I actually had to ask for my money back.
Lol ( plZ don’t steal my wheels ) lol
Just got a set of Monroe air shocks for the rear of my Datsun truck. They supplied a T to tie in both lines to one valve stem.
I read a bit and it seems its better to keep the lines separate but Monroe only gave me 1 valve so I'll be T-ing the lines I suppose.
Any thoughts on this debate?
klav07 i’d separate them. You should be able to order more valves
@@BennysCustomWorks Id like to as well. But the valve seems like a bit of a specialty piece that I can only find by buying another hose/mount kit. Ill look into it a bit further. Cheers!
What trans fluid would you recommend for the 6 speed in the fg?
Whats the load rating on the Ferrari wheels ? suitable for towing etc ? (unlike Tesla wheels)
where do you get self tapping bolts? are they good enough for car seats? I don't have a tap set
They come with the bag kit but no I wouldn’t recommend using them for seats .
They both start with the letter F, I suppose. But that's where the similarities begin and end.
Same stud pattern also :S
What height leaf springs are those? Low/super low
Would a kit like this be useful for towing a small caravan or parts trailer?
100%
@@BennysCustomWorks thanks Benny, I'll have to look at a little upgrade for my rig 👍🏻
Anyone know where I can get a bracket kit? I have a set of bags but can’t find only the brackets to suit the fg ute
Space for a stealth mid/rear mount turbo under there? Always wondered...
Heaps of room for activities all through the back apart from where the tank is
I know this isnt GVW upgrade, but can You load 1,300kg in the back and not have the frame sit on axle?
What are the Ferrari wheels/tyres rated at load wise?.
If the cart springs where too soft for what you are carrying around, I'd be worried about the wheels falling apart.
Stupid question are you towing with that wheel and tyre set up ?
Great place behind the filler door...
Do they fit on a lowered ute mate??
Wouldn't stress about the wheels being stolen, I'm sure Ferrari already have the letter in the mail stating, "Stop this, Right Now!"
