just to explain, abilities like huge power/pure power/dead power multiply the stat itself, not the base stat. so mega mawile redux has an atk stat of 105 -> at level 100 with 252 EVs, it's 278. the latter number is what's multiplied by 1.5, making 417 (which is equivalent to base 182 atk)
I don't know if in Redux math works differently but it doesn't check out for me. 105 base attack has a maximum potential of 339 with a positive nature, max IVs and max EVs. I'm assuming you are doing the calculations without IVs or natures, which is fair, and then yes, it's 278. However, 417 with full EV investment, no IVs and neutral nature is closer to 175 base attack. The max attack after Dead Power is 508, which is off by a point from a Mega-Rayquaza with max investment, so it's still pretty bonkers. I'm sorry if I come out like a nitpicking prick, because your point is valid.
How the two work in practice (only the megas will be covered since the regular forms are not good even with what they have) Sableye: on paper it seems like an obvious upgrade to it’s normal counterpart due to it’s typing: However in practice, regular is actually better than this for 2 reasons. 1. Redux’s tying isn’t nearly as a hazard blocker due to being weak to important types, such as corrosion, ground, and fire, making it have much worse match ups into mons like lead Glimmora, hippo, lando, heatran etc. 2. It’s much more passive: Regular mega sableye not only has stab knock off, but that knock off is also boosted by noctournal (which also makes it more secure against dark and fairy) and analytic, the latter often being active due to msab’s naturally very low speed, so for a wall it actually hits decently hard. All redux sableye has is a 30% boost (since steely spirit got nerfed) to a stab type that isn’t threatening at all. Mawile is an utter monster that manages to rival her already broken original. While it is weaker than the original and lacks power up punch, it would happily take the fact that it is not just no longer slow, but actually VERY fast for its strength. It’s now all to free to abuse the tripped flinch chance from a bite it now has stab on, alongside a newly stab sucker punch and generally a much more offensively threatening stab combo. And the flinch does indeed become a problem: for reference, hydregion manages to be VERY annoying with 99 speed and a 20% flinch chance each hit off of a 125 spatk and an effective specs boost (mega launcher). A 30% flinch chance each hit on a Mon with 115 speed and effectively 2 choice bands (Dead power and strong jaw) is utter lunacy. There’s no question it joins its original variant in Ubers, even without the fact that all of this is not taking into consideration of its access to shadow tag. It likely even may find a niche in Ubers: with it being a booster that giratina wants ZERO part in dealing with and having a decent speed tier for the meta, it’s only flaw being how it gets noobed by yveltal.
Imagine all the things you could have accomplished in life had you decided to put all this effort into something meaningful and not a rom hack of a children's game lmao. Fucking sad man, I cant believe you actually took the time to write all that up when none of it actually matters.

mega mawile redux is very nice due to having 3 immunities and shadow tag. if the enemy uses a choice psychic, normal or fighting move it'll be locked into doing no damage and you can freely set up to +6 attack with swords dance and decimate the opponent's team with stab sucker punch. the only problem for this is if the opponent has scrappy or is a ghost type but she can out speed every scrappy pokemon apart from mega loppuny, swellow (who usually has airblower and has only reversal for a fighting move) and furret (who is speed tied and weak). for ghost pokemons she can use sucker punch, shadow fangs or shadow sneak to quickly deal with them. she isnt the perfect mega and loses in some parts compared to mega mawile but she can still be pretty useful most of the time.
