I've been to all of these locations. For anyone thinking that the drone is exaggerating the beauty of Iceland it is not. It is completely realistic. Beautiful place.
Nice part of the world, nice composition, transitions around the water, id be nervous with my new drone....you really should have more subs i think your stuff is good…..
Wow!!! Absolutely incredible footage!! Seriously amazing!! I'm going to iceland in a few weeks with a DJI inspire, any places you recommend I see!? Did you need a 4WD jeep to get to some of these locations??
Thanks mate! Ha have fun on your trip and make sure to share the video! Well I just did the main touristy things while I was there as this was my first trip so just go for the "top 10 to see in Iceland" and you'll definitely have a blast! - Gullfoss - Skogafoss - Seljalandsfoss (Check out his neighbor - Gljufurarfoss a waterfall in a cave) - Jökulsárlón - Sólheimasandur plane wreck Those are just a couple of things to see there! And nah I didn't need a 4wd but that's definitely on the list for the next Iceland trip. Cheers
Hi Tim, thanks! Yes I guess 2.7k is the best option to go. Back then I've experimented a lot with color settings on the Mavic Pro and I think I've filmed most scenes with cinelike -1 | 0 | 0. But as far as I know DJI just brought back the Art mode so I guess I need to experiment a little bit to find the best option now! Cheers
Hi Ellie, that's done in After Effects - You link the text layer to specific pixels in the video and then it looks like the text layer is static in the landscape.
Absolutely Incredible shots! Nailed everything about this! Can I ask what camera settings you used pleased, as all of my mavic footage never comes out this clear RAW! Many thanks!
Hi Scott, first of all thanks! Back then I've experimented a lot with the camera settings. Most of those shots were filmed in 2.7k 30fps with cinelike and -1 | 0 | 0 I've done the color grading within premier.
Markus Koch thanks for getting back to me Markus! Really appreciate it! I will have to give that a try! I'm finding 4k or UHD a little jittery.. would you recommend the higher frame rate in 2.7k?
No worries! Well to be honest since then I didn't have a lot of time to test any other options. But as DJI brought back the art mode I guess I need to start experimenting quite a bit to find the best options! Until now I haven't even tried 4k or 2.7-24fps. Would you mind sharing your experiences?
Amazing footage, however you should upload it in 4K. It would look much better for those that have 4K. What was the temperature like when you filmed it?
Thanks for your feedback Carlos. I've shot that video in 2.7k so sorry but there won't come a 4k version ;) Maybe I'll try 4k the next time. The temperature was around -5°C but I just recently flew the mavic at -15°C and it performed well!
Hi Alex, thanks a lot! My EXP and Gimbal Settings were standard. I've changed the picture style for some clips as I was not satisfied with the look at all (every clip except the glacier and lake clips) Right now I'm at cinelike with -1 | -3 | -3 I hope that helps Cheers
Awesome footage. I went back in November (but didn't have my Mavic at the time) and was unable to fly for the first leg of our trip due to high winds. Can you estimate the speed of the wind on the days you flew? Did you run into any issues or feel it was dangerous (for the drone) at any point?
Hi Ben, Thanks! Sorry I can't give any estimations of wind speed but while I was in Iceland I had to leave the Mavic on the ground a couple of times because I thought it is too windy. It wasn't too windy while shooting those scenes (at least on the ground). Nevertheless the wind warning popped up quite a few times but there weren't any hassles. Cheers
Dude! This is awesome! I'm currently in Alaska and my mavic footage comes out wavy from how cold it is. Did you have this problem? And if so, how did you fix it? Also, what were your settings?! This came out amazing
Sick video, I'm going Iceland in March! I was wondering how did you kept your batteries warm? Because DJI has a battery heater and I'm thinking about buying that, but maybe there are other options? Thanks!
Thanks! Well I guess it depends on how many batteries you're bringing. As long as you're one or two you can fit them in your jacket near your body to keep them warm. That's how I did it and it worked good! If you have more batteries I would try to put them in my backpack with one of those hand warmer pads - that could work theoretically. Cheers!
Well it wasn't that cold! In Iceland we had -5°. I just flew the Mavic in the Austrian Alps with -15° and it still performed really good as long as you keep the batteries warm before the flight.
This footage almost makes me cry, what incredible shots.
Beauty! In a couple of months I am bringing my Mavic to Iceland too...
Just got back from my first trip to Iceland. Stunning landscape.
This was absolutely incredible. I wish I could like this more than once
looks awesome! :D
what filter/settings did you use?
Beautiful footage! Especially love the opening reveal!
One of the best Mavic videos Ive seen! I am waiting for mine to arrive. Hope to see some more of your uploads soon.
This is awesome man, Iceland is beautiful and you definitely show this!
Grande video, ben realizzato in tutte le sue parti...complimenti !
What a gorgeous video. This has me so pumped for our upcoming Iceland trip. My Mavic is arriving next week. :)
Awesome video! Wish I had my Mavic when I was in Iceland...actually I just wish I was back in Iceland! haha. Beautiful!
The perfect place for drone pilots; no cities, no people, only the greatest of nature. Hope been there some day. Nice footage
Incredible! Great work!
I wish I had my Mavic when I went in September :( , Stunning video!
Waow! I'm a fan of good titles, and yours is great, i knew after that I'll see good footage. Great stuff and grading!!

Great video. I am wondering why it is not in 4K mode in youtube.
Absolutely stunning
I've been to all of these locations. For anyone thinking that the drone is exaggerating the beauty of Iceland it is not. It is completely realistic. Beautiful place.
wow. unbelievable. beautiful!
Hey Markus. Awesome video mate! Loved the cinematography and style. The Mavic is an awesome drone....and I love it! Cheers from Australia!
Thanks Patrick!

Awesome footage mate. Great job!
It's such a soothing video
Awesome! Well done!
Mind sharing what your settings are and what editing software you used. Awesome video btw.
That's beautiful, id love to get video like that with my Mavic Pro
amazing:) What were the settings he had mavic? D-log?
Beautiful footage! What is the name of the song you used? Stunning
Tony Anderson ......DWELL
This is really good stuff!
Amazing. Can you share camera settings, profile, grading?
Sehr schöne Aufnahmen! Island ist ein echtes Traumziel, wenn man mit Drohne unterwegs ist...
LG Jörg
Beautiful video, mates
Holy cow dude! You're going to blow up you views with this video! Great work pal.
Great video!
Markus, damn these are incredible shots! Always happy to see work behind videos! Earned my sub ;) (a fellow "filmmaker")
Ha thanks dude! Appreciate that feedback!
Cheers
Ticket for Iceland ! Wow bro ! That's insane )) .I'm a freelancer filmmaker that I like meeting people with the same interest.
Thanks mate! Appreciate your nice words!
Did you use filter(s) on this? If so which ones? Beautiful footage!
Sehr fein! Gefällt mir 👌🏻
So nice! Where do you get your music from?
Tony Anderson ......DWELL
amazing work! would love to know your video settings. I agree that 2.7k gives greater detail, the compression on 4k is terrible.
Hi Tim,
thanks! Yes I guess 2.7k is the best option to go. Back then I've experimented a lot with color settings on the Mavic Pro and I think I've filmed most scenes with cinelike -1 | 0 | 0.

4K? Great video.
I've captured it in 2.7k as the Mavic's camera tends to perform best with that resolution. Maybe I'll try 4k the next time!
Alright, calm down Ben Brown! 😉 really good video though bud! Went to Iceland 2 years ago, such a great experience!
How did you get such good footage with the Mavic? What did you use to edit?
This is so good! How did you do the thing at the start with the word 'Iceland' and it came in with the photo? Looks so cool!!
Hi Ellie, that's done in After Effects - You link the text layer to specific pixels in the video and then it looks like the text layer is static in the landscape.
How did you grade your footage? Filmed in D-Log?
Great shots!
Absolutely Incredible shots! Nailed everything about this! Can I ask what camera settings you used pleased, as all of my mavic footage never comes out this clear RAW!

Hey Amazing footage!. I wanted to ask what frame rate was this filmed in ? Thank you
Hi Crayban,
this was filmed in 2.7k and 30fps
Markus Koch Thank you. Looking forward to see more footage :)
stunning!
Nice work!

Did you use the filtres? The configurazion use?
How did you manage it to implement the "standing" text on which the camera pans to? Is this a Adobe Premiere functionality?
Excellent! What settings did you use here shooting with the Mavic?
Hi Alex, thanks a lot! My EXP and Gimbal Settings were standard. I've changed the picture style for some clips as I was not satisfied with the look at all (every clip except the glacier and lake clips) Right now I'm at cinelike with -1 | -3 | -3

Great work Markus. What movie editor do you use? Thanks
Hi Jay. Thanks - I mainly use Premier Pro but the title was made in After Effects to attach it to a couple of points.
Awesome footage. I went back in November (but didn't have my Mavic at the time) and was unable to fly for the first leg of our trip due to high winds. Can you estimate the speed of the wind on the days you flew? Did you run into any issues or feel it was dangerous (for the drone) at any point?

wow man, so inspiring
Upload the 4K! Great work...
nice video good job : )
Dude! This is so great! How did you get your hand on one of these!? Amazon keeps delaying them.. I'm fixing to get one..
dji is shipping within 2 weeks off of there site
Thanks Julian! I've preordered around October and it took them until mid December to ship it. But yes it was worth the wait!
Markus Koch Awesome, man! That's not too bad! Thanks for the info!!
What resolution was this recorded in on the mavic?
Great video. I just got my Mavic recently. What kind of editing software do you use?
Thanks Braden! I mainly use Adobe's Premier for editing.
Very Nice !!
Cool video 👌
play this video while listening to Interstellar's soundtrack Cornfield chase.... epic
Awesome work man. I'm waiting on my mavic can't wait to get it! What frame rate did you film this at?
Thanks Samuel! I've shot this in 2.7k with 30fps.
Hi, how many gigs did you use of data, and roughly how many days were you in iceland?
einfach Perfekt! :)
good job bro.
Amazing 🖤
Where do you get your music?
I didn't know mavic could fly in such a low temperature. How many degrees?
Well it wasn't that cold! In Iceland we had -5°.
I just flew the Mavic in the Austrian Alps with -15° and it still performed really good as long as you keep the batteries warm before the flight.
bringing my Phantom 3 4k to Iceland this summer, can you drone anywhere?
Basically yes! I've only saw one sign that prohibits the usage of drones on the whole trip.
Perfect!
What song did you use?
Good stuff New sub and like
Nice video! Can you take mavic pro as your hand baggage to iceland?
great video
Dji mavic pro footage
wow..very nice
Did you have to change the song Markus? What was it before?
wow!!
Nice!
