Would you please do a monthly video on "plants to grow this month"? We tend to start growing a particular plant in wrong season. It would be of much help. Thank you!
Yes ... please... this one is much needed video. If you can cover all plants according to months in a single video that would be fine too.🏵️ Please include all common flowering plants and veggie plants too. One more request: video on propagation of all plants according to months. I want to know the best season to propagate any particular plant e.g. from money plant to euphorbia milli to succulents to roses. All. Please 🙏
The day you started those cuttings in water, i made cuttings from my jade plant. I made 5 cuttings from jade, started 2 in water and 3 in sand. Sand ones rooted within a week. One of the water one showed a single root yesterday. I think for rooting in water, opaque containers give more success than transparent ones. Because i have seen with my money plant cuttings that the roots formed in 3 days in dark glass bottle and it took around 10 days in transparent bottle and even some cuttings didn't showed any roots and rotted as well.
Love the way you actually tell that you don't hit the success button everytime. Not everybody is so honest and also tells us that it is alright if one fails.
You are BRILLIANT!!! I have watched so many different videos ... national, local, international ... FEW gardeners are as humble, down to earth and yet wonderful as teachers as you are! You have a GIFT FOR COMMUNICATION! Am an English teacher and this is what I first noticed, other than your very pleasant persona that comes through! I started gardening since 8months ago. I lost around 5 plants. 10 have survived. Your videos are helpful, interesting and lovely to watch! Best wishes!💚
It is nice to see your plants' cutting growing, Dr. Ekta. Also, Thank You very much for explaining the facts, because of which, some of the cuttings have not done well. I am sure that your guidance will definitely help many Plant Lovers, in saving their Cuttings. You are seriously adorable and motivating many people (including me) out there, to go for various kind of activities to promote Plantation. :-)
Thank you for such videos I really like it and try it as much as possible some works and some doesn't work. I want to request you that please suggest me how to grow curry leaves from cutting.
you can't if its a green cucumber. Generally, farmers don't let the cucumber to ripe and develop seeds in order to maintain its taste. You can grow some if you're lucky enough to have a ripened (yellow) cucumber, the seeds are developed in those types. its just like chilies, green chilies and some red ones don't grow. It's all upon seeds.
I actually grew cucumbers from store bought cucumbers!! Just scoop out the seeds from the cucumber (mainly the yellow part of the cucumber) and soak the seeds in water overnight ,then take out the sunken seeds in the water and make sure that the seeds are thick, then sow the thick seeds in a small seed starter (I used a egg carton with holes in the bottom) it took me about a 10 to 12 days to germinate 😑 and cucumbers grow in only summer season.
I tried to propagate my cuttings in water and soil and it successfully rooted. The reason is that I dipped the cuttings in aloe vera for about 6 hrs. Aloe acts like a natural rooting hormone. I like the way you explain everything without creating any miss conception.
May be it is due to Summer Heat , just try spraying 1l Water with 1 tbsp of Epsom Salt, it must work and tomatoes will also be tasty. This is what I even do
You can add 20 ml of Dettol Solution and 1-1.5 teaspoon of Asafoetida(Hing) powder and 1 liter of water and spray it on plants with Ants. The Ants will just run away immediately and never return.
Hi whatever u tell about plants n how to grow them . I started putting indoor plants in my bedroom n it’s look so so beautiful actually this idea came from u only I will put soon my plants video thank you for all this information

Love your videos. I tried starting a jade cutting after watching your previous video. Luckily it has started rooting. Roots are still a little small. Maybe will transfer them once they are a couple of inches long. You are an inspiration for gardening beginners!
Garden Up if you don’t mind me asking... is there a specific way to propagate petunias in water like you showed? And once I start how often would I need to change the water? Not sure if you’ll answer the question as I’m sure you’re busy but I thought I’d try my luck and ask.
i change my water every 3 days. after that, i put my cuttings in cocopeat a plastic pot and put a plastic container (no hole) outside of it then add water so it transitions from water to soil easier. i reduce the water everyday and they seem to be putting out new shoots quickly too! thank you for your video
Hi ekta, though I had interest in gardening I was not practicing it. Your videos inspired me and started immediately growing indoor plants. The techniques you teach are very useful 👍

Liked your video. Have also learned a lot of small tricks from your videos in the past. I tried rooting croton and snake plant in water with honey during lockdown and they took about 5 weeks to show roots. I have now transferred them in soil. Hoping them to survive 🌿
For Jade plant we can take a healthy branch and directly add it to the potting soil. Even a very small cutting also will work. This plant loves moisture in soil.
