    Thank you so much for this demonstration! As a beginner I was trying to find a video exactly like this for ivy and couldn’t find any until I found this video and it was just what I was looking for. I decided to try both ways because I had 14 rooted ivy clippings so can’t wait to see how they turn out. Thanks again!! 😃

    That was very informative 👍 thank you and I wouldn't have thought of the 2nd method but it just makes sense to slowly make the cutting adapt . Can I ask you, once you have added enough soil to the water (2nd method), how long should the cutting remain there before transferring to its pot ?

    • @Plantalogy
      @Plantalogy  2 года назад +9

      It can take 10-15 days to develop enough roots to grow in big pots. It depends on the variety. That's why I like to use transparent pots. It allows getting a better idea about root growth.

    With the second method - do you eventually have to repot it to a regular drainage pot too?

    Madam very good method for slow transitioning from water media to soil.
    One query: In second method, when the plant will establish, then can we transfer it to a pot

    thanks for wonderful tips. One question i have is, in method number 2, can we add only cocopeatinto a glass having cutting? and after few days transfer it to a bigger pot with soil+cocpeat+ compost+ moss stick

      Yes, you can. Even, that is much better. 🌷🌷

    Thank you so much Nishat!! Very clear and informative video. I loved how you divided the video into relevant sections as well. I do have a question: My pothos have been growing in water for many months, and have long roots. Do you think the cuttings with very long roots (almost 2 feet) would survive after potting in soil, or are they too developed? Would it be simpler to just propagate cuttings from them and start with roots that are 2-3 inches like you mentioned?

    • @dustedpinstripes
      @dustedpinstripes 2 года назад +1

      Also: would the second method work even if the roots are well established? Plus, I love your voice!! You sound so calm, it's great for a plant video ☺️

    • @Plantalogy
      @Plantalogy  2 года назад +2

      Yes, you definitely can transplant those long-rooted cuttings in soil by following any one method. Just take care of watering, and keep the soil moist for a few weeks after repotting. The plants will be all right. 😊😊🍁🍁🍁
      And highly appreciate your support and love. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

    Hi,
    That seems a great way for not to shock the water propagated plants while shifting their base.
    I would like to know if I can use either of the methods by only using cocopeat?
    Will be watching your other videos too in your RUclips channel. Thanks.

    What about transferring it from the sandy soil to a well draining mix? How long does it stay in that stage?

    • @Plantalogy
      @Plantalogy  Год назад

      At that point, you do not need to do much. After repotting, keep the soil moist, and keep the plant in a shade for a week. As soon as the plant acclimates to new soil, you can gradually shift the plant to its desired place.😊🌱🌱

    Can't find any fertilizer free potting mix. What should be the ratio of sand, cocopeat, perlite? And how to sterilize medium? Thanks for your advice.

    • @Plantalogy
      @Plantalogy  2 года назад +1

      You simply can use sand or cocopeat or perlite or you can make a potting mix by mixing up 1 part sand, 1 part cocopeat, and 1/2 part perlite🙂 and you can disinfect the media by pouring hydrogen peroxide (5ml - 6% or 10ml - 3% H2O2 in 500ml of water)
      Thank you 😊🌺🌼🌼

      You can transplant when the cutting s will have a decent amount of roots. And you can try this potting mix to grow pothos 👉 ruclips.net/video/S12muBNaDeY/видео.html

    Hello mam.... I have a doubt...kuch time pehle Mene apna money plant water to soil transfer kara tha according to 2nd method pr wo money plant bahut chhota tha (approx. 10cm) but ab mujhe ek big money plant water to soil transfer krna to agr iske liye bhi me second method use karungi to wo develop hoga naa shi se..?? Roots dry ya die ya rotten to nhi ho jayegi....

    • @Plantalogy
      @Plantalogy  3 года назад +1

      I usually do not leave my money plant or other water rooted cuttings too long. So I'm not sure about that.. But you can try.. Use sand or cocopeat, instead of soil.. Or use cactus mix. If you have..🙂🙂🙂
