I thought I was the only one who would do that only I had a '69 Charger, and loop I Wanna Go Back(and do it ALL OVER)...'70s was great great decade for ALL types of music. My favorite was soft/ contemporary rock 🎸🤙😎
I won a trip to Cozumel Mexico when I picked this song out for thr five at 5:00. It was amazing, it was our honeymoon! Thank you Eddie, we love you now and forever. 🤩🤩🤩
I remember around 1977, I was in a record store and they were blasting Two Tickets to Paradise. There was a guy working there with very long curly hair and wearing mirrored glasses walking down the aisle to the beat of this new song, lip sinking the words. I forget most of my life back then but for some reason this memory has stuck with me all these years. This guy to a 14 year old was the essence of coolness. Just a great memory.. RIP Eddie Money.
The song came out in 1977, dumbass. Get your facts straight!! Even if it had come out in 1981, that wouldn't have changed the fact that she was lucky to grow up in the 70s. LOL
What is even better is being born in the late 1990s and loving older music. Get to listen to this stuff, and a couple new songs, and get to live longer into the future.
Eddie Mahoney was a cop from NYC like his father but when he was a kid wanted to start his career and moved to San Francisco started his band and the 1978 career took off with 2 Tickets to paradise and off course 80's had drug and alcohol problems got cleaned up and sang with Ronnie Spector of Roxkettes and other hits lived of cancer 🙏 thanks for the memories Eddie Money.
one of the best guitar solo's in history, definitely in the top 100 greatest for sure. Thanks for uploading this. I sure hope Eddie Money is never forgotten. he brought us so much good music. There will never be another..
@@randyreed1284 There's a lot of great songs with awesome guitar solo's that everybody loves. Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" Steely Dan "Reeling In The Years" Eagles "Hotel California" "Stairway To Heaven" "Free Bird" "Boy's Are Back In Town." "Two Tickets To Paradise" is in my top 10.
His music and talent speak for themselves. What's more, in life, he was one of then good guys. See you in paradise, Eddie Money. Until then, you will be missed.
Eddie how were a class act. I loved all your music and the way you you delivered it. I miss your music everyday. RIP SWEET EDDIE. NO MORE TO SAY YOU WERE THE GREATEST!
One of the best radio hits from the 70’s! I always liked this song about getting away from the rat race! And now I hear the devastating news about Eddie Money’s health. Makes me very sad! Kind of like Warren Zevon. Terrible news! I’m going to pray for your recovery, buddy. If you don’t make it then don’t be afraid! We’re All in Gods Hands! God Bless you, Man!
Eddie had a habit of getting bored staying in hotels. He would go out and walk around in the back of the house talking to the employees. He was staying at our hotel. I saw some guy walking around in our back hall. I walked out if my office and said, can I help you? He turned around and my jaw hit the floor. It was Eddie Money. We talked awhile and I introduced him to my banquet staff. He was such a great guy.
His voice was amazing and strong in these early years saw him in later years his voice seemed to lose the clarity he had but Eddie gave his all in every performance even when he didn't seem well. Always love him
Many years ago I was driving west on highway I-10 coming back home from Crestview, Fl. at 1:00 in the morning. The sunroof was open and this song was blasting on the car stereo. The next thing I remember was the rat-a-tat-tat sound of Bahia grass being mowed down by the front of the car. I could suddenly see it was taller than the hood of the car and Bahia seeds were falling like rain through the car's sunroof. What a way to wake up.
Nice to see this old video, Eddie was so young here ... however he still sounded the same till the end. He never gave up, always performing and there for his fans. You will be missed Money man..... RIP Eddie..... your ticket to paradise is ready...God speed.
For all the times he rocked this out live it’s funny to see him with no band and lip syncin but hey, the band was obviously hungover and couldn’t show up that morning. But Eddie was there. Eddie showed up and gave it his all. RIP EDDIE
Let's all hope wherever eddie went he is sharing this "two tickets in his pocket' with them. We enjoyed this imagination trip song for decades. Go forward and sing friend...rip
Heard this song a while back at work. Very catchy song and very catchy beat. It's a shame that Eddie's no longer with us. Same with Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, 6 members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Ray Vaughan and others, their musical talents will always be remembered.
#RIP YOU GAVE US SO MANY MEMORIES, GOD SPEED EDDIE

The guitar solo on this song is fantastic.
In 1979-80, used to sit in my 1974 AMC Javelin listening to this on my cassette tape OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Never got sick of it, even to this day.
I thought I was the only one who would do that only I had a '69 Charger, and loop I Wanna Go Back(and do it ALL OVER)...'70s was great great decade for ALL types of music. My favorite was soft/ contemporary rock 🎸🤙😎
